  1. He was not working but was caught in the act of work.

Who ? I was coming back from week end holiday in HK. I've never engaged in any work in Thailand.
Hi. I experienced the same a year ago when coming back from HK. I believe we chatted before. You had the same stamp as me. I also spent a night in that cell with all the Nigerians. I had to buy a business class ticket back in order to leave the next day. Got my passport back after entering the gate. Anyways, I went home and got a non immigrant O based upon the birth certificate of my daughter. 2 weeks later I managed to enter. I went for one more in Vientaine after that.

You got, like me, denied entry but youre probably not blacklisted. I'm on a Thai Elite now and still experience difficulty entering and leaving the country. But when you are really not working you just cant do much more than having a correct visa, cash, and a good explaination.

I find it hard to believe they will issue a warrant over unpaid telephone and internet bills.

  2. My ex went to the immigration with the photo of my passport and stuff and they told her that the ED visa are boggus now. She also asked if i could get a visa with my thai son and they said no, only visa for mums now... They told her i could come back only as a tourist.

Incorrect. But you must legitimize your child first before you are able to get extensions of stay based upon your Thai child.

A single entry non-O is available on only the birth certificate naming you as the father.

He's already in every paper of mine i'm legally the father, my ex wife went to the immigration and they told her i couldn't get a visa with my son, that this kind of visa was reserved only for womans. I know that normally i can get the non-o visa with my son, but it appears that it's not possible anymore or my ex got wrong informations at chaeng wattana.

You can still get a single o without being the legal father. Then when in Thailand start the process right away. You'll have 3+2 months. Normally it would take 3 months. Then get a year extension.

I myself didn't dare to return on a tourist visa. As you know I have exactly the same stamp in my passport.

Record or not, I would get a new passport, get a single non-o or Thai elite and return with a shitload of cash in your pockets. When I returned I took 100k, just in case.

They told me the same at the Thai Embassy in HK. They just dont do single entry o visa there. But that doesnt mean the single o doesnt exsist. I got mine in Vientiene. Good luck!

  3. I have been sent back as well. Spent one night in detention. I was on an ED visa as well and suprisingly also came back from a 3 day trip to HK. The only option I was given , was flying back to my home country with KLM royal airlines. I had to fly bck business class in order not to be locked up for over 24 hours. I paid for this myself. Im from The Netherlands by the way. If that makes any difference... I got a stamp in my passport saying I was working illegally in Thailand and had no money with me (last actually true apart from a ATM card and 800 HKD and a few 100 baht notes. I managed to enter twice again with an O visa based on my daughter. Each time they gave me a hard time. Im now waiting for a new passport.

I am not sure a new passport will obfuscate anything. Immigration will have a record in their computer system from last time. I assume you are not changing your name (and not your date of birth) -- so they will be able to pull up your records from before (assuming that your prior passport is not encoded in the new passport somehow). Sometimes immigration can be "nice" by putting the reason as "insufficient funds" rather than something that indicates working illegally in Thailand which may very well bring more scrutiny on your next entry.

There is indeed a record of this. Even the Bangkok Fast Track service wouldnt allow me to use them because of this. However, Its always because of the page they started questioning. Last two times I had 100k in cash with me, bankbooks to prove I live on savings and rental income, chanotes, birth certificate, car book, housebook of my girlfriend and daughter just in case. And I actually flew back with me girlfriend last time. They asked some questions, she answered and stamped my passport. Its been very very stressful going tru immigration now as my whole life is in Thailand. I used to make regular tripa to HK and Singapore, but I'm so worried to get denied again I just don't do that anymore. Next time I will have to leave and re-enter Thailand I'll have my daughter in my arms.

  5. Execellent. For those who complain, no one asked you to start a 'business' in Thailand. Somehow foreigners stil think that Thai need them, think twice. Most Thai having university degrees are very well educated whether it is IT, economics etc and can work at any Multi National. For the small 'businesses' I think it is completely logic government helps to protect Thai interest.

    Haha. Youre funny.

  6. I'm in Vientiane at the moment. I've been told that I first need to enter Thailand, then leave and enter Laos, before I will be able to apply for a single entry O visa. Because I have an unused tourist visa in my passport.

The whole point of getting the O visa, is because I'm worried about getting refused on a tourist visa. Now it seems like I need to go in on this visa anyway. Besides that, it will mess my passport even more up by filling 2 extra pages with a new laos visa and in out stamps.

Can someone confirm this is the only way to go?

The consulate can issue a visa even if there is already a valid one. However since that is at their discretion, you cannot do anything if they don't want to.

As mentioned before you have no problem for you being admitted to to Thailand with a tourist visa. Up to you to decide you do not want to want to use the 60+30 days that it allows in country.

Thank you for your reply. Its not the consulate that says this, but I visa agent here that I used before for on of my ED visas.

I guess there wont be anyone that can confirm this is the only way to go. I can understand not many people have been in the same situation.

  8. Can anyone else confirm I will be able to get a single entry O visa with the birthcertificate and financial proof in Vientianne?

You will with the birth certificate and a copy your child's house book.

Asking the same question again. Did you have visa when you were denied entry or were you trying to do a visa exempt entry.

I had an ED visa. So if I understand correctly I would have gotten another 3 months extension if I wasnt refused entry.

Was it a visa or a re-entry permit. Immigration went through a period when they were checking those that had re-entry permits. You probably got caught up in that.

    I believe I had a re-entry permit.

  9. Also with the tourist visa you can extend first 30 days, and then 60 days for visiting family.

Then if within that time you can complete legalization, the 1 year extension.

3 months should me more than enough. Court date is in January. But I fear I will get refused entry because I'm on a tourist visa and my history visible in my passport.

Im almost certain now I will fly to Laos tomorrow, and apply for the non-o . This is the correct visa, and gives me the best chance when I enter Thailand again.

  11. Simply show the birth certificate and explain that you are in the process of becoming he legal father, you should have no problem returning with a tourist visa.

You entry was denied based on not having enough funds, that is now not the case.

In Laos you would have gotten a non-O visa based on the birth certificate naming you as the father and would have had no problem at all.

I have a stamp in my pasport saying I was denied on the suspicion of working illegally.

Would it be possible to cancel my tourist visa before I even used it? In that case it might be the best idea to fly to laos tomorrow and get a non o. I would fly my GF in to support me as well then.

  12. I need advice on the following. I don't know what the best decision is to make now.

Im Dutch, 24 years old, and living in Thailand, since 2009. I fund my living by money from abroad and rental income from property investments in Thailand such as condos and townhouses.

Since 2012 I have a new passport wich is almost full now. I have travelled a lot. And have had 2x ED visa, a B visa in between and a tourist visa. The B visa is because I set up a rental agency company, however we changed plans before it opened up.

3 months ago, when I was on my second ED visa, I got refused entry at the airport. I came back from a quick trip to HK. I didnt have any cash with me, and I didnt spoke Thai well enough. I had to buy a ticket back to Holland and I was put in a cell with other people such as negergians, chinese and arabs. I flew business class back as it was the only available seat.

I have a daughter in Thailand. My brother planned a quick trip back to Holland already (he lives in Thailand as well), and he brought the birth certificate and my bankbooks with him. I applied for a single entry o visa.

Now 3 months later, I am in Hongkong. The consulate says I can only get a O visa if I was married, which I am not. They say I should get a tourist visa. I explained that I am not a tourist, my purpose in Thailand is to take care of my daughter and girlfriend.

Tomorrow my tourist visa is ready and I will fly back to Thailand. I forsee big trouble. Also, because there is a record of me, that i got refused entry. I know this because the fast track service denied me because of this reason. I told them nothing beforehand.

I have with me: 20.000 thb cash, blue book of my car, chanotes from the house, 2 bankbooks (1 I use daily and 1 for rental income) and the birthcertificate with my name on it.

It still doest change the fact that I will arrive on a tourist visa while Im not really a tourist.

Any ideas or help is appreciated.

    Best regards,

    Rob

  13. I've had the same frustration as others trying to procure a safety deposit box from a bank. Half the banks didn't even know what I wanted after describing a safe deposit box. Anyway I gave up.

Couple of years ago several people recommended this place in Jomtien. They've been around several years and I'm comfortable with them.

    http://www.safe-storebox.com/

Ive had a box here for about a year. Price and service are good. The reason i choose to use the one on pattaya klang is because of the safety. Theres only a glass window between the boxes and outside in Jomtien. At siam secure its a 30 cm reinforced wall , and the price is the same I believe.

  14. I would suggest you to have a look at http://www.siamsecure.co.th . They are on Pattaya Klang, have 24 / 7 security and are open 7 days a week to 10 pm. I had a locker in Jomtien but I moved my stuff to here because this one seems much much safer. Getting a safe deposit box at the bank is a nightmare. Ive tried before and wasted 3 full days for it. Not worth the trouble and to be honest, I wouldnt have it any other way than I have now.

  15. Hi. After being on 2 different ED visa's, a few triple entry tourist visa's in the beginning of my 4.5 year stay here I got refused entry yesterday. I'm waiting for my plane back to my home country.

I understand I will get a denied stamp. Correct papers for a B visa are on its way already. However I worry a lot I will get refused again because of the denied stamp.

Its no problem for me to take 100.000+ with me and all the paperwork. The reason I got refused extension yesterday was that my thai was not good enough and I didnt have much cash on me. I did however have my kasikorn bank card with almost a million in it and the keys for my car parked at the airport. It did not help.

  16. She had plans of going abroad, she didn't wanna stay in thailand, it will only ruin her life and mine as well

abortion is the best solution and honestly i don't care much about cultures, it's about to ruin our lives and i should deal with it because thats what the culture says

Don't ruin your life. Just kill someone else instead. You're a shining example of humanity, and the world really does owe you everything. If only your parents actions were as honorable as you.

What a bunch of BS. The kid is 19 and clearly not ready for a child. While your opinion may be different , I find abortion the only right thing to do in this situation.

As someone else stated , there are some nasty pills available here that do the trick up to the 12th week.
