  1. Monday, 3 Feb 6am in CM...where will U B?  I need to watch so plz all, list the pubs and bars of CM where this outstanding sporting event will be shown.

And if need to make down payment or reservation to get in the door.

The PUB was once a good place for this show, but sadly no more. I'm hoping to hear about MadDog, GekkoGarden, UN Irish, OMalleys, etc. and all others, in town or in the countryside.

Forget about the Virus and enjoy the game, the Adverts, the half-time show (nip-slip this year?) and camaraderie of fellow gridiron lovers.

    TOMORROW MORNING!!

  2. No need to show long term housing lease this year?  I needed that 2019.  It was total bull<deleted>e coz i could move out with one month's notice with no consequences.

But in T'land it is not only Immig that is confounded by outlandish rules, daily changes, discrepancies between offices, etc.  The entire Thai govt operates the SAME way.

  3. What i cannot understand is why Ventenio, and others, care at all about what i choose to do.  He is much like the religious proselytizer who needs more converts in order to maintain his own beliefs, however right/wrong they may be.

Guys, if you don't like it here plz leave to a better place and let me live on these pages without your advice.

I don't tell folks not to smoke cigarettes but i do get away from them when they light up.

  4. Have heard this rumor, and i hope it's 'fake news'.

Does anyone have up-to-date and accurate info on the imminent closing of the Thaniya Golf Plaza in Si Lom, Bangkok?

And if you have been there recently, are discounts offered on golf stuff at various shops?  Of course i need new gear but can't find the top dollar so promos and closing-out sales are welcome.

  5. Hard to believe rain in late December but folks here, near Kad Suan Kaew, certainly got wet and the road ways cleaned of dust.

The air around us has been purified with ozone and is now safe for all.  Take a long walk and breath deeply.

Maybe climate change will do northern Thailand some real good if rains now occur every month and depress the forest and field burn-offs.

  6. I am not interested in the relocation of the zoo.  Plz don't address that well known fact.

What i do want to know is WHY the zoo was forced to close after 81 years at the same location and the zoo director would not say why the zoo closed.

What i have learnt is that perhaps some unseen and opaque Thai force remains in power and operates at will, with no regard for the desires, or needs, of the people.

Obviously some hidden reason exists, or we would know the truth.

  7. Lanna is the place to go.  Big driving range, probably clubs for hire at golf shops, certainly hire clubs offered at Green Fee desk, three 9 hole layouts, and generally not crowded in afternoon. Can take the bus up the highway only 3km from town.

    For hackers, the very best.

  8. Went to Bangkok for a holiday, even hoping to see the zoo.  Found it closed since earlier in the year.

Have asked a few folks why the zoo closed and got no reasonable response.  Most simply said 'zoo authorities closed the zoo, sent all the animals to various domestic zoos'.

I mean WHY DID THE AUTHORITIES CLOSE THE ZOO?

Can anyone answer or is this a secret?

  9. Well, if that news is correct, Hillkopf near the Mercedes has closed, then i'm going full time to Kasem shop for my coffee.

Must say i'm surprised as Hillkopf shop was v large with many coffee machines, grinders, makers, cups, filters...you name it. Would guess car parking a problem.
