  1. I agree, mostly the fault can be traced to non-enforcement of the laws. The 3 should be alive but for knowing breaking the law doesn't mean a damn thing.
  2. If they really enforced this Thailand wouldn't need to tax farangs who are not tourists 300 baht when arriving in Thailand by air. The Thai government would have so much money it could even buy that submarine.
  3. You forgot : Cause is still unknown “We don’t know exactly what’s causing the disease,” admitted Robert Glatter, MD, an ER physician at Lenox Hill Hospital in New York. --- What about ????
  4. Really, You've studied this? I can only tell you anecdotely that they Thais with QR codes are always slower. Facts are facts. I do agree if the Thai buyer has lots of small bills and the cashier has to count a lot of them, it is slower. But that's rare compared to the QR challenged crowd. And what Thai Boomers are you disrespecting?
  5. Oh yea, just like those people using their cell phones at MAKRO to check out. Really speeds things up. ????
  6. Yes let's all redistribute the wealth punish the productive people. Look at history when Stalin tried to do just that and 2 million Ukrainians starved to death and countless Russian as well.
  7. And it's all coming from China who is now pulling out of talks to cut down on greenhouse gases. The say it's because nasty Nancy visited Taiwan. Total ????. They just wanted an excuse as they never ( not in our life time) intended to cut anything to help the world if it mean slowing them down. WAKE UP people of Thailand. Get in the way and your next.
  8. I guess Chinese cities are over 100 - i.e. off the scale? So they do not list them. China is the world's greatest contributor to global warming and pollution in the world not just Asia.
  9. Why doesn't the Thai gov't just do like they do with motor bikes going down the wrong side of the road. Just pass a law against them. Boy, that will stop them in their tracks.
  10. Why isn't it being reported to Worldometer? Are they trying to lure tourists? https://www.worldometers.info/coronavirus/
  11. 29 Thailand 4,630,310 +2,110 31,974 , what are they talking about ?
  12. They can't even do that right. I think he was #2. ( no pun intended) ???? 555
  13. Another case reason to exit stage right? or what. This whole post is just depressing.
  14. This a case of too many laws in place which are not being enforced. You do not need new laws just make sure the ones already there are followed. Obviously the end game is control not actually solving the problem. For instance, the new seatbelt and baby seat laws. Are these really intended to save lives? 555 If you want to save lives why not enforce motorbike helmet laws, or not letting the motor bikes run on the wrong side of the road. And worst of all 2 adults and 3 kids on a motorbike - helmets or not NO SEAT BELTS. So what's more dangerous? Take the GD motorbikes away from offenders, and get the idiots off the roads.
  15. What about our submarines? Was that a yes or no or maybe so?
  16. No, it is not worth the money to give anything to Thailand that may end up in China's hands to copy.
  17. Living, retiring, in a country and working in a country are two different animals. I worked as an expat in countries like the UK, Colombia, Suriname, Cameroon just to name a few. And even though I didn't speak much Spanish working in S. America was far more enjoyable than putting up with the nanny state BS of Europe. Living here has its ups and downs. I don't know about working here.
