And to those locked out even with a valid visa. And while locked out the visa expired, no emergency extension until lockdown was lifted. BUT all the "tourists" in country got to stay. They really don't understand who is buttering their bread.

The actual keycard my cost 20 baht, or not , but the keycard did not just magically appear with no door lock, computer to program the key and no software to run the system. Did you ever think of that? As soon as all that has been paid for with interest and labor costs, I am sure the hotel will gladly only charge 20 baht for replacements. ????

If Thailand wants to become a Euro-like nanny state , it needs to try and protect even those who are only endangering themselves. And the kids on the motorbike are the ones needing protection as the dysfunctional parents don't give a damn.

Screw this, just go after the violators of existing laws, like riding a motor bike the wrong way on a street. Never mind when a Thai does it in a car or truck. There is so much low hanging fruit out there that the police with boots on the ground can't handle it. And the administrators just can't resist making new laws to make themselves appear relevant.

I agree, mostly the fault can be traced to non-enforcement of the laws. The 3 should be alive but for knowing breaking the law doesn't mean a damn thing. -

Really, You've studied this? I can only tell you anecdotely that they Thais with QR codes are always slower. Facts are facts. I do agree if the Thai buyer has lots of small bills and the cashier has to count a lot of them, it is slower. But that's rare compared to the QR challenged crowd. And what Thai Boomers are you disrespecting?
