Is a good idea to own a Volvo car in Thailand? What about car service, parts, etc.. ? I have an particular interest in the models V40 and V70, but I am a bit afraid about service and parts prices in Thailand.
Since I have been observing the market and I found lots of volvo for sale in Thailand, and I asked myself and others, why so cheap such a good quality car? Thanks for any insight!

Well... introduce a new "educational measurement tests" is quite easy, any country in the world can do this. But what is really difficult is to give a good, quality educational environment. That's is the point! Teach first, then apply for educational measurement tests! I think someone misunderstood the right order of things. lol.

This is totally absurd! Better you change your school if you are having troubles like this. They just want more money!

I could never call just 1 my favourite, variety is the spice of life.
Ever been to a proper village cheese counter in France and had a few chunks with some crusty bread and a glass of good Bordeaux.
Simple but perfectly prepared pasta in a back street cafe in Milan,
Sashimi from a breakfast bar in tsukiji market in tokyo
Steak and ale pie with thick mash or big cut chips, gravy with a proper pint of cask bitter
Slap up Indian curry
Your mums roast dinner..
Thai food is great but on the whole most of it is junk food, but then again most bites we eat out are not usually the healthiest options. Home cooked balanced thai food with fresh veg and a limit on fried items and salt / sugar / msg certainly can be achieved and is wonderful.
But who wants to eat the same thing every day? We will hear mixed responses from teachers living on a shoe string who have no choice but to eat thai food on a daily basis and claim it to be the be-all-end-all, as well as the shoe string retirees, compared with those not based in Thailand or those expats in LOS with the baht and access to eat a varied and a higher end level of food from fine dining establishments.
But if I had to pick an overall favourite, something I look forward to the most I guess it would have to be a slap up Indian (North Indian curries).
If I had to pick something i would need to stick to for the rest of my life for whatever reason (such as a poor thai person having no choice) it would be one of the Mediterranean regions, for health and taste and balance. Couldn't put my finger on which one though, Turkish, Spanish, Italian, Lebanese ? Can't pick
Thai food takes lot of herbs, it is not junk. Just do not eat street food! Find the right place to eat, it is the same for any cuisine.. I remember me sausages from germany, 2 days in the toilet.. 5 kg loss.. I will never eat again that kind of junk again.. (but of course I ate the wrong sausage at the wrong place - streets! )
p.s. Not everything in the streets are junk, but most of them.

I could not find any good food in England....the meat pies and mealy fish and chips in a newspaper were not my idea of food.
I totally agree, British food does not taste very well. I prefer Thai food.

Conjealed blood
Thanks for the information
Why on earth would anyone like to eat conjealed blood?
Unless you are a vampire
The soup also had small boiled egg in it, please dont tell me it was a pigeon egg?
Because it is delicious, if well prepared of course. I will never ever eat this from the streets! Only if I prepare myself one. Do you like to eat cattle liver, prepared just like a beef? if so, it taste the same!

I read an article once malaysia and thailands cuisines were compared as being the same
The article claimed thailand copied malaysian dishes and credited malaysia as being the originators of that cooking style.
That I doubt very much. There are few, if any similarities and of all the SE Asian countries I rate Malaysia as having the worst food.
"Yeah not much like Thai. But have you tried char kway teow? Murtabak? (Indian Malay) Some Malaysian hawker food is delicious too.
Best SE Asian cuisine - Thai
Worst cuisine - Philippines
Best dishes - Murtabak, pho bo & som tam (haa met) khao niao gai yang"
Malaysia has one great dish, I do not remenber the name, but it takes chicken with yellow indian curry, bamboo shoots, and basil leaves on top, woooow it is so delicious, balanced (not to much spice), just a great dish! I miss food from North Malaysia.. Unique!

Anything from western taste is so normal, eastern play hard with flavors, that is my favorite! I love Thai food, Indian food, Chinese Food (infinite options), Korean are good specially soups in the cool season, those cuisines are the best in the world in my opinion. They use a lot of herbs, it is amazing and healthfully. Of course I'm not talking about junk food on the streets. But I still love lasagna. LOL.

paranoid with Thai people? better move to other country.. lol

In my opinion you can buy, only if you have a family, I mean by family, if you have a wife and child(s), and you can register the property in the name of one child and look into usufruct for you and your wife (if possible for you, I really do not know how it works in thai), anyway the land will be in the name of your child, and you can build your house or do whatever you want in the land in the name of your wife. Just keep yourself under the radar. Imagine if the land is registered in your name, In the end it all will be inherited by your child. But of course I do not know about your personal situation... What I shouted here was only one possibility to "own" the land without have your name in the title deed. Good Luck with your decision.
p.s. by the way land without chanote is not more than 40K depends in your region of course, my wife bought 2 RAI per 50K last year, and this year we had an offer of 8 rai per 250K, what we still thinking about to buy. My region is between Nakhon Sawan and Phitsanulok (no problems with water). But this land is in process to regularization and soon or later (I hope soon) we will have the title deed.

Definetely 100% no need to take the wife. Unless you like someone to hold your hand.
oh!! it is nice to show you are really married.

I;m sure they are w order them about two months ahead of time. It's usually three weeks before they get real active. But from a suggestion here we stage the orders to try for a fairly constant production.
Ive kept good records so I know when I should be thinking about ordering again. The current price we are getting is 7 baht. As small as we are I don't think we could do much better making our own bags.
Col has really been a lot of help explaining things to my Thai Brother in law. He works part time and has his own business as well. If we make the bags that will double our labor costs. I don't believe we are big enough for that, nor am I sure that market will support that.
That could change as after this year I will be expanding more, if things go as expected this year.
Very usefull information. Thanks!

New rule: in order to apply for a work permit one needs a NON-O or Non-B visa. Check the immigration website.
Why would immigration have info about work permits on their website, They don't do them.
You can apply for a work permit with a tourist visa but it will not be issued until you have a non immigrant visa.
Well said. I applyed for a work permit in 2008, but I had a problem about my visa Type. Then I just change my visa to a Non-B (I did it outside Thailand in Taiwan's consulate in Taipei) and after that everything was just fine and I got my work permit in Thailand. I'm not quite sure if you can do all the procedures inside Thailand as a tourist with tourist visa type. Then better you call your employer and ask this questions to then, in my situation it was all arraged by them, I went to the thai consulate to provide a letter of employment and my papers, was really simple and no hassles.

WOW.. Poison a dog because it is trespassing your property, maybe people should start to poison each other for their stupid and unnecessary behaviours, use your brain to think more about the problem, I'm sure you can find a better solution than kill a little dog. Remember always the animals has a life just like you!

RIP. Sad to heard.
Now police should contact the engineer in charge of the contractor and ask questions about safety. This kind of stupid problem is happening all around the world, schedule to follow and completely does not give a sh*t about safety. Shameful! High Standard! -

Sometimes the simple answer is best. A piece of garden hose with 1/100 inch holes drilled in it. Works fine at low pressures
Is it cooling the place? Did you feel any difference? I mean the shrooms.. growing faster than before? Nice Workaround!

FB is our primary advertising tool for my wife's business, and we also use it to communicate with some suppliers because we cannot use Line when we are outside of Thailand. I'm sure our situation is not unique, so this kind of game playing with the Internet and media only exacerbates the negative economic impacts of the coup.
use a paid VPN, and will have no problem at all. They block access from the inside thailand, then just change your ip address to something else.

Use VPN and everything will be okay. try proxy.sh cheap one.
Murder of Thai girl: SRT admits to nepotism, corruption in hiring of Wanchai

This is horrible. Sad for the girl's family. The murderer must be hanged in a public place. Despite what buddhist think about death penalty, if no severe action is taken now, in few years this situation will be quite normal across de country.
