  1. Strange and sad sense of humour you must have.
  2. Ugh???? Oh, it's supposed to be be funny. Sorry.
  3. One thing I would recommend ---- try headphones in shop first. Some look great but sound awful (take a movie along on a thumb drive typical of your usual viewing).
  4. Me too. I bought BLUEDIO Bluetooth headphones (about 2,500 Baht Lazada -- not sure if genuine or not). I think that Bluetooth version 5.2 is good (less latency -- sound/vision synch.). The awful mixing of sound tracks was a bit of an uproar some time ago and one series on TV was re-mixed to make speech tacks easier to make out.
  5. They only get to 80kmh when approaching zebra crossings!
  6. Over my 2 score years here, I swore NEVER to buy a Thai manufactured electrical appliance (eg OTTO) again. The price of SMEG (nice name🤣) is outrageous. I would pay maximum 1000 (REALLY maximum). LAZADA, SHOPEE or Lotus.
  7. Sorry to drag this thread off topic a tad but, SCB has now stopped the SCBEASY app for P.Cs. So, now I have to do my banking using smart phone only -- not so easy with my fattening fingers. Is there any other bank that is unlikely to follow suit with P.C. app. for internet banking? I did go into my local Kasikorn branch and asked the door-person what the situation is --- she assured me that all will stay the same but I'm not 100% that she understood my question (my fault, not hers).
  8. I have had True visions Gold package (since it was called UBC). Recently a Thai message onscreen which as far as I can make out was to replace my aged fibre cable. No cost apparently. Two engineers arrived (no English -- 'my bad' as they say). When I returned, new thinner cable and new decoder box. AND behind the TV an extra large box doing what I know not.
  9. Is that YES or NO?
  10. Is there no legal come back on LAZADA if they are selling fake goods?
  11. You do realise -- This Is Thailand?
  12. What's a 'fade'?
  13. My dermatologist does it for free during a 'follow up' session'. A lawyer once charged me 10K!
  14. Better if they designate water free zones (Silom soi 4 is one. Last time the soi did it, it was packed solid with people taking refuge from the madness a few yards away).
  15. I think you've answered your own question.
  16. Thanks Sheryl, words of wisdom. I've lived here as a P.R. for 20 years. Would only go back to the U.K. for NHS treatment. My big worry would be declaring Diabetes 2 (well under control) (and I would declare it) . Would an insurance company, in the future, blame anything from ingrowing toenail or heart attack or stroke etc. etc. back to the diabetes in order to refuse pay-out?
  17. Thanks That's certainly true. From past experience over the years, insurance companies have 2 aims in life 1) to get premiums out of customers and: 2) to find ways to deny claims.
  18. Thanks Mak, trying it now.
  19. I have decided i need a cheap (?) insurance. I send advertisers my details with specific things I definitely do not need (e.g. international cover, repatriation of corpse etc. not needed). They send me back pages and pages of options to sort through. Is there an agent that simplifies things for my old brain?
  20. Delivery 60 baht whatever the size of order provided it's valued over 1000 Baht. Makroclick
