The issue is that, to continue with your example, If you submit, for example, a dividend statement from your pension fund or the rental agreement on a property you own then that is "verifiable"., provided it is of Dutch origin.
Can you post the link to that reference?

Value of a currency moves when it is bought and sold, if there was no traders buying and selling currencies for profit then there would be a lot less movement of currencies.
Maybe. It can also be argued that traders introduce friction to the market, slowing down any moves and making them less abrupt

I've now read the web site. Contrary to the previous assertion it only says the income "must be verifiable" not "will be verified" (google translate) and continues to say that the embassy will accept the evidence you submit at face value. I'm guessing all that means is that if you're claiming your income is from the cash economy (eg. coke dealer, pimp) then it won't be certified as it can't be verified. If you submit, for example, a dividend statement from your pension fund or the rental agreement on a property you own then that is "verifiable". Back to Khaosan Rd I think

Absolutely no fun in that, Carib

Great,,,, this means that dutchies has to proof their income which is very good news.. On the other hand to be fair, sad about the postal thing,, that is always nice to have access to..
Not quite. They have to produce documentation that the Embassy believes "proves" their income. TIT - you can produce any documentation you like and if it looks authentic it is authentic - that's how Khaosan Rd survives

NOT IN THIS CASE YOU WON'T
A list attached what to bring as proof MUST be in line with what you state, otherwise embassy (they wrote!!) will NOT issue a certification.(thanks for your post anyway!
Sorry, mis-read your post

1. Need to proof stated income
Falling into line with other embassies. The certification simply means "we hereby certify that [applicant] told us he had such-and-such an income"

Do you want a video, do you want to see humans killing humans cos they ain't got a beard or smoke a fag....It's different humans doing THEIR human stuff.....
No, an explanation of the phrase "on mass" will be perfectly adequate

But it seems humans are very different....We have humans tying folks hands behind their back and sawing their heads off with a knife on mass, because of what.....?..
"on mass"? What does that mean? Is this a reference to religion (also a peculiarly human endeavor)?

So you think humans are different to other creatures on our planet, why is that, or your thoughts....?
You've answered your own question. We are different precisely because we can conceptualise how we are different to other creatures and articulate those differences

My preferred position is not one of the options. "3. Yes, I believe the death penalty is a suitable punishment for all crimes"

And how would they manage that for non Thai bank accounts, which they need to work out when the money was made ??
All of my bank accounts are offshore from Thailand except a small transaction account and a term deposit in my name which is not my funds as I've explained elsewhere, which supports my retirement visa renewal (or extension - just joking). If I earn any income while I'm in Thailand it's from offshore activities and is banked overseas

Too many to mention, ask yourself "what is a large country? America, Australia? Now we are going off topic, but the point is there is no reason for Thailand not to allow non Thais to own their houses, and a small piece of land, just enough to go with the house.
Thaksin didn't call his party "Thailand for the Thais" by accident

That's an interesting idea but I don't like the idea of handing over my passport for days to some random guys. Do you mean they actually took your passport to Phnom Penh then brought it back to you? It sounds like you don't actually need to be present to get the visa but that doesn't seem right.
Standard Operating Procedure in Cambodia. Read any guidebook and it will tell you the same

Do you need a Work Visa to operate an online company based in the USA while living in LOS? i.e. eBay
How are "they" going to find out?

You paid 30,000 Bt. to an agent?
I did mine yesterday in Soi 5, Jomtien. Was in and out in minutes (nobody waiting in front of me) had a young man sitting outside counter 8, sorted all the paperwork out, even had a photocopier at his disposel. Got my No.to come back today after 2pm and collect my passport and have my photo taken while collecting it. That too took only a couple of minutes.
But you are an intelligent person. Many are not, *or* prefer not to deal with Thai bureaucracy- 1

The issue is the Thai law.. The law implemented and controlled by the labor dept / employment office.. The law with which Thailand gathers income tax revenue.
Immigration is not responsible for the enforcement of that law.
Surely then the most straightforward, succinct and informative response to the OP would have been something along the lines of "The visa is irrelevant. Immigration don't care if you're a digital nomad. The department that does care is the Labor Department, so it's a matter of getting caught by them. Shut your mouth, shut your door and you should be fine"

Thanks for the clarification. So the issue has nothing to do with visas and everything to do with being caught by a different government department?
