2. Was this friday 16 Aug. Just after crossing Lao border I immediately bump into 2 thai mini buses going Border - Udon Bus Station - Airport. Yes, on Lao side. I was pay 4000 kip first for bridge cross, then 200 baht to airport. Driver wait me until I cross Thai Immigration. Whole trip about 1 h 15 min.

Going to Udon is perfect idea. Train, Bus, Plane - anything what you like is here. Can check VIP seats in buses at bus station, and if they sold out, just go with same driver to airport. I catch AirAsia flight 5.50 pm so 6.45 I at Don Mueang already.

I dont know about True, but electricity bill amount shows in Kasikorn Bank account bill payments, you just need to know contract number. And TOT bills can be payed online, even with international credit or debit card. In my condo only water must be payed to condo juristic person, but 100 baht/month is nothing to discuss...

There is no way to pay by credit card for electricity. Even in Bangkok.

I have had issues with toping up with International credit cards 2 numbers in Thailand and what a debacle that is with DTAC. Their web site engish in my opinion is attrocious.

I have used their call centre and that also is attrocious.

Sh*t happens, But God bless. DTAC services are extremely foreigner-friendly. Using them 5 years already. International credit cards... don't know really, why not use Thai credit card?

When visiting Immigration for year extension, just take envelopes and report by mail. No need to visit Immigration in person every 90 days.

solution never use or have any thailand credit or debit cards , american credit cards best , singapore next - there is no thai way or western way -go with the company that provides superior customer service. that way incompetent companies dont survive and grow- simple

About problem - I think topic starter just not enroll his card in 3D Secure system, which is req. nowadays by almost all airlines. This is free of charge and can be done in 5 minutes from Bangkok Bank website.

Saan, you just need to enroll your card in Verified By VISA / MasterCard Secure Code. This can be done from BBL Website in less than 5 minutes. After this, when you make payment, you will be redirected to bank webpage and then request temporary code, which will be send to your registered with bank mobile number, and payment will be completed. I don't know why bank stuff not tell you this, and I think you communicate with them in English language, sometimes banks personnel have a trouble to comminicate in English, this is true...

David, due to agreement between countries, your stay can be 30 days more in case you just do border run. The same for Thai nationals, they will have 30 days of stay on every entry to HK. Rule is simple - Thais can enter HK for 30 Days, holders of HKSAR passports can enter for 30 days.

So, you better just do border run. ALWAYS check stamp, because sometimes officers do mistakes and can stamp you 15 days instead of 30. This happens because a lot of visitors and only a few nationalities excluded from 15-day land arrival rule, and officers can be very tired if a lot of people want cross border. Mistake can be corrected immediately if you found it.

Next question - yes, the date of extension will be exactly counted 7 days from day following your arrival stamp "until to" date.

Another thing, if you close to Mae Sai, do border run better. Yesterday I spent almost all day in BKK Immigration, hundreds of people and computer system failure. And immigration building - BTS roundtrip taxi can cost you about 200-300 baht. This place is FAR from any mass-transport...

If you stay in Bangkok you can join border run company to Cambodia and go back in less than 10 hours...

Short advice -

1. Get NON-B fast. This is the first sign school CAN do WP for you. Preparation of documents for NON-B will take 1-2 days only. In 4-5 days you will have work visa.

2. For NON-B go to Laos. Thai Consulate in Laos can confirm your documents with school even with phone call ( I heard several times this), so your visa will be issued for sure.

3. WP can be obtained fast and you must to come IN PERSON to Labour with someone from school and take it.

4. in 85-87 days from your entry to Kingdom (your Non-B will be issued for 3 month only) you will make extension of stay up to 1 year in Immigration.

5. Make colour copies of passport, WP and keep with you all time you work. Store originals in safe place.

6. Do 90-days report.
