  1. There's a little guy works out of a garage like place next to Tesco Lotus Express on Soi 89 (Toon KlunTan Man), turn off Suk by Greenways Driving Range, South Pattaya, ca 1 km up on left.

I've used him to recover a leather footstool, and a swivel recliner. Workmanship excellent prices reasonable. Easy to recommend him.

  2. After the storm on Wednesday this week my CTH box can only find 10 TV channels and 1 radio station. I have auto searched many times as recommended by my installer (ComTelSat), but to no avail. Maybe the storm or the recent typhoon in Vietanam has knocked something out.

Anyone else had the same problems?

  3. As of 1st November the new owner, a rich Thai lady who owns a steel company,( allegedly a close friend of Mr T, or maybe even his proxy) has decided it’s time to screw the member at this esteemed golf course (which was under bankruptcy proceedings for about the last eleven years by Siam Commercial Bank).
First thing she does is spend a fortune beautifying the pace by painting the roof of the club house and planting hundreds of trees and shrubs. Then she decides to improve the playing conditions on Ocean course, so it’s out for a while. Low season ends and she thinks right time to get my money back, so she starts by attacking the members.
Firstly Carts per golfer are compulsory, so that adds 300 ฿ to 9 holes and 600 ฿ to 18 holes. Secondly the green fee goes up by 100% and the caddy fee up by 25%.
If that wasn’t enough, we now have to pay 24,000 ฿ /year annual membership maintenance fee and to add insult to injury a further 200,000 ฿ for transfer of Life Membership (up from 20,000 ฿).
I believe similar stunts were pulled at Crystal Bay and Sri Racha Golf courses when the ownership changed. Does anyone have any solid information about the court cases or where we might find any information??

    Thanks,

  4. There appears to be a red shirt propoganda you tube site which is used to distribute information. It used to publish in English until the middle of last year but has stopped. It still continues in Thai and puts out some very interesting, if not worrying stories, to explain current politics.

    Anyone else heard abouit this??

  5. Most Bread machines recommend water in first followed by flour, salt butter milk powder sugar and lastly yeast. I've tried following these recipes and they don't work with Thai Bread flour and my Kenwood bread machine. Have been searching for alternative recipes and have found firstly, you need to check the activity of your yeast, try adding 1 tsp yeast to 1 tsp sugar dissolved in 1cup water at 110 DegF ( just slightly warmer than body temp made by 1/2 cup boiled water & 1/2 cup cold water). dissolve the sugar and yeast and wait for 10 mins if it does not double in size forget it and by some fresh yeast. Repeat the process until you've got active yeast.

Secondly now you know your yeast is ok get a good bread machine recipe( search for best bread machine recipe and you find it) put all water at 110 degF in bread pan with yeast and sugar, stir until dissolved wait 20 mins for good froth level than add rest of ingredients choose normal white loaf programme, sit back, wait 3 hours and out pops a perfect loaf!!
