The route of the problem the government needs to solve is probably the ridiculously cheap fares taxis in Bangkok can charge when they regularly use the meter. I understand we are in Thailand but a 200 - 300 baht for a 15 km ride is simply not justified. I like cheap things but for this one service I honestly think the price should be higher. What we all forget is we just ride one way but the cabs mostly have to return to their starting point (due to assigned taxi waiting spots), the gasoline, the buying of a car, the regular changing of tires, maintenance of the car, the risk and responsibility a driver has if he incures in an accident with a customer inside and last the price of a regular license to do the job - which Bolt doesn't have).

Exactly! I think it is more a xenophobic thing... This last government really pushed the "prathet Kong Rao" agenda of we Thais against all the others and COVID was perfect for this. Now Thai officials are still pushing for mask use (see at immigration or land transport offices) just to make Thais different so they can feel even more disappointed that the bad foreigners are not using them.

They don't even answer calls. My recommendation is take 30 minutes more to drive to Rayong and make everything you need there instead.

I think coco fitness is a nicer gym than Tony's anyways there will be no problem to find Hotels near gyms as there are plenty of gyms in Pattaya. Instead of the "coconut bar" girls I would suggest him as a 24 year old to visit "Thai pubs" such as yes pub, area39 or garden168 so that he can get laid for free if his game is a little bit okay.

Yes that right... funnily I know only my town where tourists have privilege over locals. For example the public busses are free for tourists. Locals have to pay 3 € a day.

When I told them they are still required to fill out some sort of COE - now called Thailand pass, need to book a Sha+ hotel for a night and a pcr on arrival they said no thank you. So much to the new rules lol.

Yes nonsense and that's the reason I am going trough the Phuket Sandbox. At least I pay the Sha+ hotel for a reason and see it as a 2 weeks Holiday before heading to my condo in Pattaya. I would never book a Sha+ in Pattaya owning a place there...
