People who think they can drive better after using drugs or alcohol surely have no concept on the effect that these have on your body and ability to drive
Everybody is an individual. On average, people drive worse on drugs and alcohol. But me personally I drive slower, I focus more on safety and I think those two things make up for the reduced reaction time.

i will agree to the pot but not the beer ... beer is drinking and driving even in small amounts (before u say i only meant 1 or 2 )
Well, after a few beers I drive more focused, slower and more careful. I think it more than makes up for the reduced reaction time.

I wonder if they will also investigate the prosecutors involved in the case. not only the police. They all need to at least lose their jobs
Perhaps they all belong in jail on corruption charges.

I am all for using any drug people want as long as they don't bother others or operate a vehicle. What about people who drive when they are tired or angry?
I'm 100% sure that I can drive better after smoking a joint or drinking a few beers than someone who is tired or angry.

I bet 98% of the people here that are complaining about overreaction was complaining about the lack of action back in january/february ...
Back then it was "The thai government is too greedy, they will do anything for the tourist revenue, they don't care about how many people die from the virus"
Now it's "The thai government doesn't care about the tourist revenue, they just care about the covid-numbers"

Come on, did anybody actually expect him to turn up?
No way would he be there, far too many questions to be answered.
First question would be, how much did you get paid to drop the charges.
It's only fair to give him some more time to count the money ????

If his prediction is correct, I wouldn't be surprised at all. It's a gross overreaction at this point, and Thailand needs to learn how to live with this virus just like most of the other countries have. Either they don't understand this or they don't have the capacity, resources and facilities to handle domestic infections
Or they gotta restructure Thai economy to not be reliant on tourism... Seems like a military dictators wet dream..

At this point it's starting to almost make sense to just throw out the original charges and start an investigation into corruption/bribery/perversion of justice. There's many people that would be found guilty and belong in jail.

The people of Thailand can rest assured that everything Will be explained in this FULL report.

I actually assumed it was an accident, until now that an autopsy somehow is supposed to confirm it lol. An autopsy can't differentiate between an accident and a intentional hit.

I think it's way too difficult to tell, and definitely way too early to tell.
It's simply too complex of an issue. We have yet to see the damage / lives lost from the economy / unemployment / homelessness / mental health issues etc. And we have yet to see what the actual death rate / damage of the virus was. I think it could be extremely overstated, but I really don't know, anyone who does think they know I think is overconfident. We have massive mislabeling of covid-deaths, we don't know if we can trust the tests. We don't know jack bro.

The odds of being killed on a motorbike in thailand? Those odds are surprisingly good...

Arrest him for what ?
Use section 44. Don't need a reason.
Of you really want a reason, it's called "perverting the course of justice" ofcourse it's a concept that the PM doesn't understand as he is guilty of it himself.

More shame on all the people not even able to imagine that if it was them or their kids, they would have paid anything possible to free him !
How can people be ridiculous to this extend to imagine another life for themselves. They must have suffered a lot being cheap labors all their life !
Ofcourse we can imagine it. It still shouldnt be allowed.
With your logic all crime, including murder and rape should go unpunished because every criminal has relatives and we must sympathize with them and let the criminals of the hook.

Possibly as the parents decided not to pursue charges the prosecutor has been unable to find a loophole to continue withe the charade and decided to call it quits.
Yeah, ofcourse, but it's shameful that he can't even make up a real legal reason. It's obvious what actually happened.
In a case like this it's not up to the relatives to pursue charges. It's the public prosecutor who must pursue charges on behalf of the people no matter if the relatives want to or not.

He doesn't even bother to give an explanation as to why the charges were dropped. Just saying its not a double standard but not explaining why. What a shame.

The only thing they got right here is that medical tourists and film crews are the sort of people with money that the country needs.
The black hole in the statement is where is the volume going to come from. China will still have 14 day isolation on people returning from Thailand, India closed due to rocketing cases and farangs down to a trickle because of user unfriendliness.
TAT doing what they do best, dreaming without a clue of how to make things happen.Don't worry there's gonna be a declaration of success from the TAT
