A friend of mine had a health check up done which was paid for by his employer here in Thailand. E was found healthy without significant problems. But on a scan they found a very small nodule on his lungs wich was included in the report but favoured benign and no reason for further examination.
He totally overlooked that note in the report as it was found to be of no importance and forwarded the report with his (Thai) health insurance application. He got accepted, but received a letter 2 weeks after acceptance and initial payment, saying that they accepted coverage, but with exclusion for any lung ilnesses. When he declined, requested termination and a refund, the agent told him that this info would go into a database and other companies would know about it.
Would this be true? Would this be even legal, considering privacy and medical info? He'd have options with other companies where no medical checks are required on application. But of course he'd have to check the "never refused/limited coverage" box in most cases.
This privacy issue is what worries me the most as I would not like my medical info to go around.

There have been quite a few reports on xtc users (you know, dancing all night ????) who's death was related not to a drug overdose, but to drinking too much water.

To do what..beat him to death with your keyboard? Do you want a fair contest and if he wins YOU take his punishment?
I'm probably not as old (and sour) as you ????.
So yes, I'll take the fair contest. He can take on children, so I'm happy to take him to the next level (and life).

Can I have him for a moment, please?

The four or five times that I have hired them I had no problem... agreed on a price and destination and paid them... I am sure that there are an element that are difficult to deal with... as I am also sure that Indian tourists are mostly hard to deal with as well... especially when they have been drinking.
Indian tourist are hard bargainers... often to a point where it becomes uncomfortable. Even the rich ones. Never been to India, but they should know that it has limits here.
Not saying the tuk tuk driver was lovely ... but luckily for him that 500 Baht is only a 10 minute ride fare ????

Your best option is to visit the Labour Department near you and ask what is required. In "normal" situations work permits are applied for through the company the person wishes to work for. Since you are a private person, this must be a different process.
Once paperwork is submitted and in order it usually doesn't take very long for the work permit to be issued. At the most 2 weeks from my own experience.
Edit: I also always understood NOT to start working before the work permit has been issued.

Tolerance can surely increase. But that is no indication for addiction.

Any shop opening today is late to the party. Too much supply already. Exactly what happened in other countries in the world after legalization.

Two immigration police arrive unannounced at home mid-afternoon while I was sitting outside reading. I rushed inside to put on a mask, shirt and trousers. They had a copy of my latest retirement extension application, and just wanted to take two pictures of me at the front door and in front of the house next to the house number. Nothing to sign. Smilies and wais, and good-bye. No problems.
If they'd show up unannounced at my place, they'd have to do with me posing in my Speedos.

A VPN only masks your actual location. A password is still required to use each subscription, regardless of where in the world you are.
Actually using a VPN will show a different IP address, so a different location. Which would then be considered password sharing. Besides that Netflix has been screening for VPN use as well the last few years. Not always successful on their side though.

Hopefully it will have some influence on taxation as well.
I remember a few years ago, I was in Vietnam, I bought a can of Chang at 7/11 for about 22 THB. Almost half the price it is in Thailand.

Most face masks are pretty useless. Add to that they way they are worn by most people. It's become quite clear that the sense of security does not match the effectiveness. The only mask that really could help is an N95 when worn properly (which most people don't/didn't).
