South America is really screwed but not a market for Thailand anyhow. India, Bangladesh, well, as well not really a market, except for the end of WS in Patts. USA sad story but how many Americans visited Thailand the last couple of years ? Not too many, I guess. China was the main supplier in nbrs, but who wants them back, apart from maybe the guys in charge ? Aussis are a miss as well as the Europeans, incl. the Russians. It's surprising that Europe doesn't really get it under control. Would be very interesting to see how numbers are distributed between "real" Europeans and Immigrants, as latest outbreak in Germany for instance happended in an immigrant's ghetto housing facility.

Don't expect anything intelligent from tik tok users or k pop fans.

Europe has become a lost case, since they opened the borders to almost everybody, claiming to be a refugee. Weak Governments, Lefties and Green parties run the countries, at least in the background.
And if one stands up for his country, he is a fascist nowadays.

Would the same people have the balls to do this in S'pore, China, Thailand ?
I doubt. Get in the Humvees and clear the area.

Maybe just a few cases in Thailand but people working in tourism will starve to death due to the draconic rules implemented without work, as there is little to none aid from the Government.
Better taking a risk in October to get at least some people in the hotels during what in the past was called a high season.
Of course the continously whinging retirees see it differently, as they don't need to worry about their income but most likelky belong to the risk groups with 65+, overweighted due to bad habits and being therefor diabetic.

As the BiB's cannot bloodsuck tourists anymore, now they must take on the locals to collect their tea money

Strange that...I guess they atrribute road deaths to karma. It wasn't long into the pandemic when I saw those on bikes wearing face masks but no helmets. The mind boggles.

Any "social distancing" ( I just can't stand these 2 words anymore) on the MRT or a local market ?
It's time to get back to life, no risk, no fun. Waiting for a vaccine whi9ch might never come is by far more dangerous.

funny how so many people say thailand relies heavily on tourism they obviously dont. one of the most covid free countries in the world and still not letting anyone in,yet europe open as usual, so who really relies on tourism more
Well, at least 12 % of the GDP, that's quite a part in Thailand. Plus all affilited business.
South European countries like Spain or Greece are even more depending on tourism, having been hit much harder by the Chinese virus but are almost all open.

I have lived in Thailand a very long time and have had to utilize various medical establishments over the years..from local clinics to fancy international hospitals..like anywhere else there are good doctors and bad doctors and its a crapshoot finding the right one for your particular needs...as a foreigner have learned that you have no recourse should anything go wrong..absolutely no protection whatsoever...and the worst part is the manner all of these hospitals prioritorize things...its all based on how much money they think they can get out of you and very very few places will place your well being in the fore front
In fact, one of the nurses messed me up and I changed facility. Paid another 10 k+ to get fixed and the complaint at 1st hospital felt on death ears and was anwered to just smiling.

As he is a specialist for cleanliness, make him repsonsible for road side cleaning and garbage & wastewater disposal. He could start with a broom in his hands.

Would love to get a full size pick up with a full size engine here. There is no parking space anyhow, so it doesn't matter. Only toy cars available here.

The mess for many of these countries started when The British, French, Portuguese, etc. pulled out.
Some of them until now are not capable to run their country alone and efficently, s they still have a mentality like in tribes.

I doubt very much that the higher ranks of the Thai gov't have any major interest in white foreigners and their marriages to Thai women-let alone the children from such marriages.
I don't think that they are on the "urgent" list as,strangely enough, they are rarely commented upon by the Big Wigs..
For a simple reason: In reality there can't be thousands of husbands or wifes being stranded abroad and how important are they for recovering the economy ? On purpose I do not mention the humanitarian aspect, as this most likely doens't matter to the people taking decisions.
In any case, Anutin will do his best tor the country ????

The only source I have unfortunately is in Thai only. But zou may call TAT 1672 to gain information, though they are not always up tp date there. Krabi is still a headache, all the rest further up north from there should be OK by now.

A fool like Trump can't control his own country, what chance does he have of leading the world, he thinks Finland is a part of Russia! ????
If I remember well, Finland at least once was a part of Russia. Who here can name all 51 US states ? Well, basically they are 52 ???? Ask a Thai politician to point out Panama on the map, guess we all would have a laugh. Old bro' Joe shall fix it ? I doubt he could, even if he will still will be alive in 2024. Trump opposes China - at least one doing so, he could do better, yes. But look at all the other "leaders" allaround the world. Puppets on a string. No balls, no backbone, unless they are Dictators but then it's a piece of cake to demonstrate "power", even if in reality you don't have any, outside your country.
