Great news. Missing the Phuket route and I would say Ubon is pretty well connected within Thailand.
I suspect they are going through March 31st to test the waters first. It is easier to extend a contract than to cancel one. So probably some time down the road the will either renew / extend the contract ( assuming the route is successful ) or just let the contract run out.
Unfortunately they havent updated their website yet to reflect this route, but I saw somewhere that they are supposedly offering a 299 Baht promotional fare to Udon Thani....but I cant verify that just yet.

I have been here long enough that I know they say "can not" before even thinking about it.
All I wanted to know if motorbikes maybe have some sort of restriction and a slight chance of the mechanic being correct. No real answers here. I'll wait and see if somebody with knowledge in that area comes by and in the meantime continue seaching for an answer on google.

I wasnt to worried about it. I was at work, didnt have time to check, knew it was under warranty...so no big deal, since I had one working one. The other one is just back up.
Also, has nothing to do with Thais doing something. I have similar stories from the US.
All I would like to know fi somebody can confirm that only one keyless remote is possible on bikes.
Cars can have several keyless remotes. It is hard for me to believe that bikes are limited to one....but I just want to make sure.
-
I have a generic question regarding a keyless remote.
I have the Aerox ABS with keyless start. When I bought the bike, I had them include a second keyless remote. They came by at my work place to connect it. 30 minutes later they came to me and said "all done". I got my "keys" back, signed off and they left. Later in the evening, I checked and to my "surprise" only one remote worked. No big deal I thought. I'll just have them do it again when I go for my 1000km service. I just dropped of my bike for the 1000km service and a different mechanic is working on the bike now, but he fairly quickly said "mai dai"....basically you can't have to remotes working at the same time for 1 Bike.
Can somebody confirm if this is true or not?
-
Yeah, I am not too worried about this. I do think it was because it was new ( it had 0km on the clock when I left ).

Sorry for the bad quality picture, but that was the light that came on ( next to it on the right is the green A light )

Well, the thing was, it did turn off shortly after I left that place. I also took it for a drive this evening and no light came on.
I did a couple of heavy stops / breaks shortly before arriving home ( testing the breaks ) then went to straight back to the dealership and got brushed off. Left and the light turned off.
Would the ABS system overheating possibly trigger the overheating light to come on and turn off after the breaks cooled down?

As I finished the post, they showed up and confirmed it was normal. The initial setup of the bike or something like that. But they confirmed there is no problem.
Time to enjoy the bike :)

As of today I am a proud owner of a new Aerox 155 ( I got the ABS version ). It comes standard with one remote...I was able to negotiate a second remote and a bag holder as pictured above...and that wasn't easy :)
On my way home, after about 1km a light turned on ( engine overheating light I assume it is ). Did a U-turn and went straight back. Mechanic said it was normal at the beginning. I wasnt too worried because it is under warranty and I have video of the light being on and speaking with them. Heading back home, the light turned off. Shortly after they came to pick up the bike to look at it again...lets see what happens.

Where can you order or go get a hook?
Are they aerox specific or any aftermarket hook will work?
A couple posts above yours "just bob" posted a couple of FB names / shops that have aftermarket accessories. The facebook page also shows their website.
https://www.likitracingshop.com/
I saw they had hooks for the aerox, which I will order. There are a few things on their I dont know what they are and will have to find out the coming days before I order the hook.

I am about to buy the Aerox ABS version tomorrow. I have been following this thread and a few others the past weeks and the Aerox convinced me :). I do have a problem ( like previously mentioned, and the only reason I was / am hesitating to buy it )...There is very little leg room ( I am 189cm ). My knee ALMOST touches the the pointy part of the frame. I have about 1/2 cm between my knee and the frame.
I saw some Aerox with a modified seat that could be the solution for me. Are there websites that specialize on aftermarket products for motorbikes in thailand and preferably in English? Where do you guys shops for motorbike accessories?

Yupp, that sign is also up at the chayankhun / Makro intersection. Let's see what happens :)
-
Yupp, they're still picking up within the airport. However, upon leaving the airport, you will get hustled by the "limousine" drivers. Just ignore them. When you exit the building, turn right and they're about 30m away waiting for passengers.

Does it say where they plan on building this?

Love it how it is called a training match and not a friendly match
I put 0 weight on this game ( even if Germany would've won ). I didn't watch the game, but saw the highlights and statistics.
Just for arguments sake:
I don't think it was a strong German side as mentioned in an earlier post. For one, our Captain, Schweinsteiger, was out injured. Secondly and most importantly, it was a new defense. The only one from the World Cup winning squad ( that played regularly ) was Hummels. And Third, our "striker" Gomez. At most I believe he belongs on the bench and Mueller put up front and Goetze on the right wing ( who was out injured as well ).
I am not saying that the reserve players weren't good, I am just saying this is far from an ideal German line-up.
Also, I haven't seen any mention of the disallowed offside goal, that wasn't offside. The game may have ended a little different without a linesman mistake.
All that being said, England did play well....at least the part of the highlights I saw. However, I wouldn't put too much hopes and dreams into this game.

If it is just red light camera, I'm safe and actually applaud it. If it is a speed camera as well, hmmm, actually I'm safe too. Whenever I'm at that intersection I seem to never approach it on a green light.
I just hope time will pass until they start putting speed cameras at random areas.

A few days ago I heard a rumor about Makro opening up in Warin. Today I asked the manager at Makro Ubon and he looked at me like where have I been? Its been announced 3 months and everybody knows...well, I didn't .
He said they plan on opening sometime in May and according to him, "near Big C". What he considers "near", I do not know.
Has anybody noticed any construction going on down there somewhere?

Just filled it out. Thanks for sharing.

That image should get censored. Very painful to see.
My condolences. How come you are connecting to the Vientiane server though?

Earlier today I spoke to a Thai that knows the builder. The person's english wasn't that good, but from what I understood, the developer is taking deposits for the condos. If there is enough interest, they will start building. If there is no interest / not enough interest, they will cancel the project and return the deposit.

Well, just completed my border run. I stopped by the new immigration, and they seem to be partially operational...there were cars parked outside and I saw a female immigration officer walking around.
On the way back from the border I went to the "old" immigration in Phibun which was full of Asians ( assuming Laotians ). So that one is still in operation. There were a few notes posted on the door ( in Thai ), maybe one of them mentions the move? See attached picture.
Here is a picture of the new immigration and an overview of their location
It seems like the the move could actually happen pretty soon.
Edit:
Here is the exact location / coordinates of the new immigration:
Latitude: 15.200369
Longitude: 105.410140
Accuracy of GPS signal: 16 feet

Ubon Ratchathani News & Development

I understand the concept of them getting something upfront that attracts people, but also agree, a KFC wouldnt be right, especially there already being a kfc at Tesco, Sunee and ubon square.
I think a burger king may do well here.
Krispy Kreme seems to be very popular among Thais....if they could get them inside the mall, that would be a good addition.
