I have recently been appointed as country manager to an American company. Are we permitted to post our services details etc on thai visa? I just want westerners to know that there is a westerner at the helm which makes communication better.

Found a new bar last night in soi 8 called Eight Plus. Run by a brit who has lived in NZ for ages. He has 16 rooms for rent big bar and 100 baht pints all night. He is not a friend, only been there once but will be going back. People should check it out.

I do not know why the OP sent his passport back to the UK other than to save a few pounds.

It is a requirement by law in Thailand to have your passport with you at all times.

Also going to the police and making a false statement is illegal and such actions could comeback to bit the OP in the backside very hard.

What false statement have I made?

My passport was stolen along with my daughters, the police visited the house checked and photographed the broken window where they got in and issued me a police staement!

So why not file a police report for a lost passport ?

Hope im posting in right section.

My UK passport is in UK being renewed and my company want me to go to Hong Kong at the end of the month for a week.

The British Embassy has told me there is no problem issuing me an ETD (temp passport)

My 3 questions are:

Will Hong Kong accept me on an ETD (we have a company office there)?

Do I need to apply for a visa for HK on an ETD?

Do I have to get an exit stamp or inform Thai immigration of my movements?
