When CTH won the contract over TRUE you would think the first step they would have taken was to head hunt some staff with expertise from TRUE to get them on the right track in relation to broadcasting football as its the core of their business That's normal business practice, buy in knowledge you don't have.

They obviously didn't do that and are just blundering along.

(a) The presenters look like a dogs breakfast and if you understand any Thai they are talking nonsense.

( There are no score updates from other grounds,it is very simple to run a streamer as True did.

© The game time clock still sits in the centre of the screen ,again easy to adjust any tech worth his salt could do it.

(d) Viewers can't watch every game at the same kick off time obviously so the repeats are essential viewing ..try finding them.

I don't buy into this they are new kids on the block they have had 6 months to get their act together.

Anyone who hasn't been to Legends pool bar just off Pattaya Klang at the junction of Third Road really should check it out. The best pool hall in Pattaya by a mile imo but with 20+ big screens showing any sport you ask for and awesome staff - simply couldn't ask for anything else.

I heard good things about this and must have a look, although with me I don't play pool (despite being a pretty good player) and I always watch football at home...

I generally hate dogs, to me they are nothing but a menace (stray dogs that is) but I really don't think I would have the heart to posion them? That wouldn't sit right with me.

as this game was on, I wrote an email to the Premier League complaining that I had paid for an expensive subscription from the official broadcaster and this cable company were showing it live to their subscribers. I included the contact details for Sophon Cable. I noticed that there was no live EPL on Sophon this weekend. I suppose it would be egotistical of me to believe that it was my email that did it. I didn't even get a reply from the PL.

Hahaha...... No beach here Postman Pat. Spurs six points in the bag. Life couldn't be better. Just need to complain to CTH from all angles in order to get the service/programming required. Did you call them, write to them? Anything constructive to add or are you happy to sit on the sidelines spectating and moaning?

What I will say is they have got the most important thing right, live games in HD with English commentary, so that's good, but the rest of it is 'thai style' it doesn't in anyway resemble a professional broadcaster, it's bloody awful. Yea, maybe I should fire off an email, not sure it would do any good though.

I see Spuds have now taken to cheating to win games, I'd be embarrassed if my team did that. 2 games and not 1 goal from open play now monkey face is no longer around, not looking good. The mighty Hammers go from strengh to strengh. Roll on Saturday.

The cost is 3500 Baht and as I understand things that includes the first month. Sound right?

Bt 3,500.00 sounds right for box and install, as that is what I paid, but did not include 1st month. They asked me for 2 months up front, so in total I paid just shy of Bt 5,500.00

Sorry PP after checking with the missus it was the shop on Tai. She is saying that we paid for the first month, but maybe not. The bill is not broken down, just shows 3500.

But at the same time I don't see what the problem is with constructive critisism, we are paying customers after all? If nobody said anything then maybe they will think all is fine and not look to get everything right?

I am going to send them an email and if that does not work what is the no for complaints?

They are slowly sorting it. When you are on full screen (no grey menus at the bottom of the screen, press the green button. This will give you the English audio option.

They grey menus at the bottom takes far too long to disappear, but you can press 'exit' to make it disappear rather then waiting forever....you may already know this but if you press the green button twice or until you see the 'bow tie' sign you will get a much better sound.

I have used the audio button even on the replays but on some stadium channels there is no sound at all.

More bad news the best match at the w/end is Man U v chelsea on at 2am tues and I don't normally stay awake,I used to watch them next day on true v without knowing the score. Who knows what time next day it's being shown on Cth or at what time if they do.]

As I have said already there isn't much English audio on the re-runs, don't know about Thai.

As for the Manu game, you cannot rely on the game being shown the following morning so if you really want to see it you will have to stay up.

Reruns. Teething problems over double dubbed commentary seem to have been solved. Very frustrating as I still have not seen the Man City game due to unreliable published schedule.

Right now they are showing a rerun of the Norwich game as follows:

Stadium 2 . Ch132. In English. You need to press the green button. The Thai commentary is available as the alternative. Picture quality v good, audio quality v.good.

The TV guide shows Man City game coming imminently on Stadium 1. Ch131. Lets see.

Spoke too soon, earlier they showed the Arsenal game. No Man City. On Stadium 4 they are showing last years Utd v City.

I am very happy we have CTH, and EPL so I will not bash them.....but they do need a British Rep on their team to act as a liaison...... To sort out the gripes. BB any thoughts on this? I have time on my hands

I will criticise if they fail to respond to ongoing complaints that I have made. Give the another week or so. At the moment I get to watch every single Spurs game, live in HD for around a fiver a game .... Now that's priceless and I am the envy of many friends in UK that cannot watch their team every week. Sorry you are not happy, but I sense things will get better.

CTH obviously have some work to do with regards its broadcast of reruns, but True were far from perfect on that score either. For some unfathomable reason they always used to chop about 20 minutes out of every game. If I watch a rerun it's because I missed it live, and if I missed it live, I want to watch the entire game.

The season before the last one they showed the game within a 90 minute time slot, it had a small break at ht then the programme finishing say 5 minutes before the hour, so yes they chopped around 15-20 mins from the game. Last season the programme stretched to 2 hours so they showed all the game and had an annoying long break at HT...I much preferred it when they did it all in 90 mins, it's a replayed game for heavens sakes....not that it matters now of course.
