The mask isn't the sole prevention tactic to getting people back safely. Along with layers like testing before you travel, masks, social distancing all add up to give you collective layers of more protection.

Once again we aren't talking about elimation but REDUCING THE RISK.

I'm not getting into a mask debate, it's utterly ridiculous that you are even debating this.

Im not debating anything but obviously social distancing and face masks is not REDUCING THE RISK.

It not just the dolphins.  Look how the elephants are trained here, and what they do to the tigers so people can touch them.

Highly doubt the Elephants and Tigers are trained by the same people as the dolphins this thread is based around.

I doubt they have been trained any differently.

So after the movie and all the years of animal rights activism Ric O'Barry was unable to change trainers ways ?

Shame about those 2 Dolphins he killed.

Maybe true on the many holidays, but they aren't mandatory. That's for banks and government, while the private sector can choose any 13 of these, which generally they do, if western companies, they'd have longer holidays around Christmas and New year, while Chinese will have longer holidays around Chinese New Year, and Thai companies could have longer Songkran... But on the other hand, Europeans are used to a month of annual leave, while Thais have far less, and in some cases even that is fixed to company closures.

Yeah we only get 13 of the 18 and shut down for 2 weeks xmas/new years, glad I get 20 annual leave days and not 10, company has a use it or lose it policy so will be  taking the whole month of December off this year.

I'm often shocked by the price difference for exactly the same product, e.g. in Phra Khanong a small bottle of Singha is 50 THB 5-7PM, then at 7:01PM it's 100 THB, same bottle is approx 250 THB at a rooftop bar just a few meters away, Madness....

[For anybody in that area O'Briens Irish bar does pints of Asahi for 89 THB all night long]

Looking forward to sampling a few of those 44 THB Pattaya beers on LK Metro next week, just a shame that I'll have the GF with me so that's all I'll be able to sample...

I was shocked to be able to buy cartons of Leo in Australia for Bt.650.00 (2018/2019) making me wonder why it is so expensive here.

And here don't have paid summer+ winter holiday like in Finland! 4 weeks summer holiday whit salary + 1 week winter holiday whit salary! So only that is 25 days vacation (monday-friday) + 9 public holiday so total 34 days! Saturday and sunday is free day in Finland anyway! My wife get 10 days/ year holiday in here (coverment officer) but if she not use , then next year its 20 days! If covid over it's trip to Finland.

Finland has paid annual leave too, thats pretty awesome and very similar to pretty much every country !!

My figures were from previous years.  It appears that last year the Cambodian Government announced a reduction of seven for 2020.  I know that leaves 1 day unaccounted for.  I cannot be bother to find it!

The actual numbers are not that important as I was only trying to point out that Thailand is not top of the holiday table.

Thailand aint even in the top ten but there will always be some that moan about Thailand having too many.

Driving on the main highway to Jomtien and at the side of the highway was a nice new Mustang that had broken down. One more reason I won’t buy a Ford.

What was wrong with..... assuming you actually stopped and diagnosed the issue to come to the conclusion it was broken down.

That there is a 300% luxury tax on such cars is not a secret.

But it's also interesting to see that they are actually getting 1,150.000 when selling such a car (if you add 300% import duties and 7% vat you end up at the 4.9 million THB for which they are sold in Thailand). Obviously from this they still make a profit, or they wouldn't sell it. This shows that production cost is surprisingly low and they probably have a quite impressive profit margin in other countries.

Its not a luxury tax.... its the going rate import tax.
