As a condo owner in various projects in Bangkok ie Rhythm Ratchada, Rhythm Sukhumvit, Rhythm Huay-Kwang, Centric Ratchada, Ideo Sapan Kwai, The Room Lardphrao etc, we have made sure that other owners do not rent out on a daily basis and the appointed juristic bodies have put up signs and we all make it a point to look out beside the appointed staff to make sure that no "arse" owner disobeys and do the same. The reason is for security purposes and also most of the daily renters make use of the common facilities ie the pool etc daily and mess up the common areas.Long term rentals with proper documentation and local police and immigration notification is ok. We normally have the juristic committee report the matter to the local police or immigartion straigth away first. On the contrary, most of the receptionists are not "dogs" but are there to ensure security and that there are no strange characters up to no good at these buildings ie drug courriers, peodophiles, prostituition rings etc or unscruplous owners up to no good. One thing taht we have also done is to get the staff to check the air bnb sites to see any units listed in our properties and have them reported.
lol

It can't but it should!

Conscription is just another form of slavery!

Like the General cares what the poor little people think, they are there to serve him, shut up and be grateful that they have someone like him in charge.
-
Thankfully since the coup Thailand now has an independent judiciary to decide these cases.
lol

For all u non believers, watch bbc and see the brother and family make a statement, nothing but praise for the justice system, they have been there for many months, visiting the ocurts, not you keyboard warriors that want to knock Thailand at every opportunity. the burmese guys had top lawyers paid for by an activist group, how pathetic, activisits are idiots.
Says the guy who thinks there were jurors. Troll

Why are people surprised? If you thought there would be any other outcome you are seriously deluded.
-
Why even bother, nothing will ever change.

Just don't try it if you go to Australia; you're likely to be banged up or fined.
Yeah they're tough down there...I watch Australian Border Patrol...those officers are real pricks!
Not right at all, if you declare it you won't get fined or banged up. If you declare you have meat products they will not let you take them in, but no fine or any problem whatsoever if you declare it. If you lie on your form then you're in trouble.

Why are people surprised about this?? For people who have been here long enough it makes perfect sense.

Ironic that in a place where the army loves shooting its citizens, that it's illegal for citizens to own a bullet proof vest!
-
Wow, so many bitter old men on here who are obviously talking from their own experiences of being burned by their own stupidity.
To the OP, go for it you have nothing to lose and if you enjoy spending time with her then that's what you should do.
People going on why a 22 year old is paying for sex, really?? I've never had a bar girl but have never had free sex. Picking up a girl here or at home costs money, dinner drinks taxis etc. Sleeping with a hiso girl costs a lot more money than paying for a hooker.

But how will the Thai military use submarines against their own people? More guns, rubber bullets and wire ties would be more useful.
Let me guess, you live in Isaan. Down here in the more salubrious coastal areas, we have ferries, fishing boats, cruise liners, merchant marine and other targets of opportunity. OTOH, we see the military more as protection from mercenary thugs.
Haha, are these the same mercenary thugs that pay bribes to the navy? Naive much

Embrace Western USA ways??
Does that include buying a gun and going on a shooting spree??

Because coups are illegal right??

lol typical, I'm just waiting for when the people outside Bangkok only get half a vote in the next election.
-
Typical from this regime... Go after the poor little person selling lottery tickets while the elite get away with murder.

First he would have to be transferred to a inactive post? lol I'm surprised Thaksin hasn't been given a promotion for the amount of money has gained from corruption. Isn't that why Thais enter the military and police force? The General is just jealous that he has only made hundreds of millions not billions like every officers idol the great Thaksin!!

Didn't think the privy council was covered under 112, but these guys make it up as they go, so no surprise.

Bluespunk, are you an Australian citizen?
I am, I completely agree with these laws and the way they are applied.
If your not a Australian then nobody really cares about your opinion, if you are then vote in the next election. Not that it would make much difference as the majority of Australians would support this law and the way it is applied.
Doesn't change the fact that I think it's wrong.
Yep, and I think it's wrong that I can't buy a beer from a 7/11 at 4.30pm in Thailand. But my opinion don't mean sh!t. So I don't bother complaining cause I would look like a fool!

What most Thais want is irrelevant, the only thing that matters is what the General and the elite want.

It started when the Chinese man got on the train his luggage bumped in to another passenger, the two men finally get off the train and continue to argue and yell at each other in station.
