International arrivals in Thailand increase after restriction easing
Dialemco replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Very unlikely International arrivals have increased owing pre-depature PCR test no longer required. Main obstacal remains Thailand Pass until this is cancelled there will be no significant increase in arrivals unless they are in transit to other Asian Countries -

Bravo he cares for his citizens whilst encouraging them to take up work as Saudi slaves for 5 years. -
Reinstatement of unrestricted entry into the country and extension of visa exemption to 60 days would encourage some international tourists but rising inflation and war in Ukraine will restriction numbers willing and able to travel. Tourism will not return to prepandemic levels any time soon so incentives are required as the gravy train will not be returning.

Unfortunately Covid and war in Ukraine is going to harm every countries economy with rising inflation and interest rates not seen on such a scale for decades. Tourism is unlikely to return to prepandemic levels any time soon but relaxation of entry conditions and visa requirements will assist although Thailand has lost the initiative in these respect to other South East Asian Contries. Visa free entry should be allowed and extension of visa exemption to 60 days would be helpful as well as a welcoming smile upon entry by officials which has been severely lacking for some years now from what used to be called land of smiles

Anutin: Reaffirms Thailand's ganja policy - speaks of HUBS
Dialemco replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Would be far better if he concentrated on Covid vaccines and opening up the country without outdated conditions of entry. -
There is to be no golden moment for tourism this year or any time soon. If Thailand wants to keep a tourism industry it has to invest in its future but this does not appear to be the case many potential tourists have decided to opt for other countries in the region who have already opened up without entry restrictions who will report good modern and far cheaper facilities than Thailand when they go home leaving Thailand to pick up the crumbs for future tourists in a very much smaller market there will be no Russian/Chinese tourists for a very long time.

Has Thailand reached the top of the Covid curve?
Dialemco replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
So your suggestion is Thailand should follow China and close borders until Zero Covid thus isolating herself for the foreseeable future and then arrange travel bubble with China to allow return Chinese tourists only -
Russian Tourists Struggle to Leave Thailand Amid Russia-Ukraine Crisis
Dialemco replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
Really surprised you have all been brain washed Russia is a large country of which about 60% in Asia. There is no closure of airspace back to Russia however many of the Russians in Thailand are part of Putin's elite who may not want to return to Russia for fear of what may happen to them meanwhile there are many Russians in Samui and Phuket who have invested heavily in property who can easily accomodate the relatively small number of Russias who allege they cannot return home.- 219 replies
