  1. Maybe time to become a little more careful who to call a "friend"............. !?

If that's your "friend" I better don't want to know who your enemies are.... 55555555

    Just joking..... wink.png

I have the kind of friends that make people afraid to be my enemy.

not sure if that sounds good.... sounds like "playing the same game, just believing to have to better cards..."? "Same colour, just different shape"...?

But what do I know, maybe I am wrong........wink.png

Good luck with your "endeavours"..... wink.png

No 'endeavors' involved and it's not a game. My best Thai friend is very connected and he has introduced me to many important people as his friend. It seems that many Thai people want to have at least one Farang friend. I have done favors for some of these people to put them in my debt; all very Thai behavior. In this country it pays to have friends in positions where they can help you, whether you need that help or not. I was very lucky in meeting my friend. Maybe it's my Karma. I always behave ethically and above board and have built a good reputation so that I'm never even asked to do something shady.

sure "I always behave ethically", I did not try to imply anything else. I guess you got the "tongue in cheek" kinda thing... One can never have "too few friends"........ ;)

  2. After you caught all the corrupt RTP go after all the unusually rich 4 star Generals. I wonder how much a promotion to General would cost here or a transfer to a staff position could cost someone.

A friend of mine paid more than $US one million for a promotion from Pol. Lt. Col. to Pol. General about three years ago. It makes me wonder why Pol. Capt. Chalerm stayed as a Captain.

Maybe time to become a little more careful who to call a "friend"............. !?

  4. What do all these officials that are shunted into inactive posts actually do? Sit in an office and twiddle their thumbs? set up fake facebook accounts and pass the time posting propaganda or what? There's a growing number of them blink.png

For a corrupt official, being banished to an inactive post is actually a pretty severe punishment. The base salaries of Thai officials are minimal. They need opportunities to supplement their incomes to live in the manner to which they have become accustomed. An inactive post severely curtails those opportunities,

so..... you mean, letting them of the hook and just deprive them of the opportunity to not participate anymore in the corrupt circles, which otherwise will continue to flourish is "good news"..." ?? Or what else was your message ???

Certainly, I would wish there were a more serious attempt to stamp out corruption. Until that happens, preventing criminal elements from benefiting further is better than what usually happens.

complete stupidity to publish that, if you ask me... at the pub you can say whatever you want, but here you are just publicly supporting the perpetuation of corruption with those statements, because these "systems" are put in place for cosmetic reason without any impact what so ever... there is no "until then"... got it...!!??.....as absolutely nothing changes if you just kick the one guy out for the next one to happily step in... waste of time to discuss further...

  6. Yeah sure the US government will bow to the horribly skewed demands of a military junta because he runs a facebook page that is not illegal but merely something the junta doesn't like. Unless you can propose how the Thai authorities are going to swing that line then do give us the gist of what they'd be best to say thumbsup.gif

Oops sorry, thought the event was at the consulate, and thus enjoyed extraterritoriality

So, how would that work? They invite him to the consulate, put a bag on his head and smuggle him out of the country? Hilarious...

"Thai being Thai"... and smart as they are.... they might actually try that..... wink.png

  7. forget about the stupid 1 million bail... the Thai will PAY them in not too far a future to"quietly disappear".... these morons have no idea into what kind of corner they pinned themselves into.... their OWN undoing.... this one will NOT go away for a LONG time and not without HUGE pain... mostly suffered by the Thai small business owners though, unfortunately, while the big shot will, without a shadow of a doubt, continue to behave as if nothing has happened.... believe me or not.... it's just building up....

  8. It's started, the inevitable climb down, no doubt the two Burmese kids will be released.

A new investigation? Maybe, but only a token effort......we all know who the real suspect are, well at least two of them. But we also know, that this is Thailand and they won't be served justice because of there wealth and influence.

The British will start leaking their report investigation, I think the leaks have already begun at diplomatic level.

Will the leaks be enough to make the authorities arrest the real perpetrators?.... Doubtful, but the only hope we all have for real justice.

One thing for certain, the Thai Authorizes are in for one hell of a ride over the coming weeks. I predict some damaging personal revelations to be made.

This place is WAY more f.... up that any sane mind would contemplate to consider....... "disgusting" is a too nice a term to reflect the realities..... "time to draw the conclusions...." !!!!!

  9. whether its a good or a bad idea to hold a concert is a separate matter, but THIS stupidity is typical thai....

"...cool reception from local authorities at the October 28 presentation, especially about holding a commercial event on a public beach so soon after local business operators had been expelled from beaches around Phuket for doing business on the sand..."

HELLO - how about (if (!) such an event is wanted in the first place, the concert organiser pays a commercial rent into the public coffers, NOT being embezzled (!!!!) and that money is fed back into the community... ? Too complicated for Thai...!!?

Let's be clear here: that has nothing to do with "public concern", they just lost their ways at the moment and don't know how to "divide the money" amongst them without being "detected"........ And Thai logic of course dictates that "if I don't get it then I make sure you (the public) don't get it either....". All wrapped in this stupid argument above...

    Sickening

  10. This evening I listened to the interesting ranting of a veteran of Koh Tao and full moon parties. He has friends who know the island and the set up too well and they are very angry. Apparently the first suspect in this case was responsibe for the murders and according to this guy the feeling is now one of revenge against the headman and those responsible for the deaths.

as I said, the day of reckoning is coming... and that will have many flavours... they asked for it... their request will be granted... more than they grant others..........

  11. "so it is unnecessary to forward the DNA results to the British government"

so this basically confirms the tests were bullshit.

The son's DNA was very likely processed correctly. The big question is: IS THE DNA FOUND ON VICTIM RELIABLE? ...the dna it used for comparison.

It would be very easy for Thai officials, WHO CONTROL DNA RESULTS FROM CRIME SCENE, to pull a ruse. It would be very easy for Thai officials to simply photocopy the results from the Burmese, AND CLAIM THOSE ARE THE SPECIMENS TAKEN FROM THE VICTIM.

Everything the Thai cops have done (and not done) since they fingered the Burmese has REEKED OF FRAME-UP, as well as SHIELDING THE HEADMAN'S PEOPLE.

Of course Thai officials don't want to pass the latest DNA results to the Brits. If they did, it would enable the Brits to compare it with crimes scene DNA, if they have it. It would blow the cover off the frame-up. Heads would roll.

Can anyone confirm the suspects were tested in the first batch, which seems likely, and then cleared? I would have thought they would have been tested first, as they were those 'three guys playing guitar", on the beach that night. There were over 200 tested and all were cleared. Surely they were in that group. So, if they wanted a scapegoat they had plenty of dna samples to choose from.

But before this, they were scrambling to analyse the dna. I don't think the police would be ready for a coverup at this stage. There must be genuine samples from the victims somewhere. A coverup is entirely possible, given the reputation of the BiB.

Yes, there is a photo of both of the Burmese guys standing in line to give DNA the first time round. Can't find and do it on my phone but it had been posted in previous threads here.

Yes I saw that too, but was not sure where in the queue they were and why we hear they were a match several weeks after the incident. I thought all the bar workers were tested at the start, especially the Burmese. All these guys came up negative.

Because the first test came back negative. They were tested again when they were arrested a few weeks later and they tested positive that time.

from the criminal investigations "for dummy's" cook book:

"international standards" > "low standards" > "no standards" > "TH standards".....

  12. I am sorry that these men had to go through this, and I now assume that they have been set free. This will lead the police to understand the their out of control behavior, by some of the members on the force, are finally going to be watched by the public, and hopefully their superiors. I have to consider that these young men, and the father, were heroes in this matter. Unfortunately, these groups are prevalent in every police force in the world.

"...some of the members on the force, are finally going to be watched by the public..." ???

    ALL of them!!!

That's what the guy at the top asked for, right?

Or did I get that wrong...?

You bet I got that wrong...!

  13. "so it is unnecessary to forward the DNA results to the British government"

so this basically confirms the tests were bullshit.

Do they really think anybody believes them now?

    1. done by Thai police and Thai hospitals

    2. no witness what was compared with what

    3. they refuse to give a sample to the Brits

    4. they did the test only after 6 weeks

    5. his "alibi" is not investigated

    6. CCTV from AC bar is not available (his family owns that bar)

    7. No.3 alone enormously strengthens the suspicion about him being guilty

just the opposite from what they intended

they shot themselves in both feet now

    cheesy.gifcheesy.gifcheesy.gif

here is the Thai answer, I swear by God, and you can hold me accountable for it:

"don't need international standards - have master degree... " (fake "master degree", sorry, my injection...)

Don't understand a thing, not really bothered about not understanding a thing, but "have master degree"... I can't tell you how many times I heard that... or only me???

  14. Despite the local's "declaration of British happiness", I have not seen ANY news from the British government, recounting what they, the British government IN THEIR OWN WORDS, called "serious concerns of corruption and mistreatment of suspects" in this case and stating "the urgent need for an independent DNA analysis" and an "investigation according to internationally accepted standards".

I want to hear from the British authorities themselves "how happy they are" and how that u-turn came about... absolutely nothing else counts. These guys here have no credibility. And "TV propaganda shows" do NOT make it any better, they will be very surprised to hear...

Until then, please allow us to be as concern as the British government, can we...!? Or is the officer who released the British concerns online also going to be threatened to be dragged to court for violating the "computer whatever act" ???

  15. As I've stated earlier, even with the Brits present during the DNA testing , a lot of the Thai bashers in here will not believe the results anyway.

We have a negative result and the Brits were present. Do you think it's just a fantasy story produced to tell the media a lie ?

The kid is innocent , maybe someone else did the brutal murders , but you can leave this kid alone now.

I am a bit dumb, excuse me, but can you explain to me what a "comparison" or a "match" is for that matter... ? Maybe you also learn something thinking about it...!?

  16. BBC's Jonathan Head take on it:

"Bizarre performance as # KhoTao boss son has v public DNA sampling and blood test at police HQ Bangkok."

    https://twitter.com/pakhead

Looking forward to hear some more details on the BBC about the "bizarre" statement

It is bizarre. Have you ever seen a person who is not a suspect show up with press to publicly give DNA?

Logic is not conspiracy theorists strong point but coming up with bizarre theories is.

yeah, understand, the BBC is well know for its reckless comments and delusional conspiracy theories... as much as you are known for your rational arguments and undisturbed mind...

  17. attachicon.gif10606226_10201853141850142_5664172514246056707_n.jpg

Why does the police chief look so happy standing behind Nomsot? Is there a reason why this a particularly meaningful event for him personally?

When there are so many unsolved rape and murder cases and more coming in every day, not to mention his promise to come out with a plan for broad reform of the police by the end of September you would think he should be busy elsewhere.

They don't even see how such ("bizarre" as the BBC puts it) display publicly damages their own credibility... for them its TOTALLY normal to publicly take sides this way, and parade and shame other in front of TV cameras the other way... "Thaimocracy"

There is a good bandwagon to jump on when this case plays out in court.

JTJ even "likes" it, that's cool.... 5555555

  19. What is odd is these conspiracy theorists rely on police statements to make their conspiracy case but then when later police statements prove their theory wrong, they say nothing police say can be trusted. crazy.gif

Bottom line is there are no facts they will not ignore and nothing unknown they will not use to fill in blanks to make up facts to support their conspiracy theories. Whatever it takes, even if it requires going back in time and using select month old police suspects and ignoring any updates. There is no shame, no embarrassment anymore it is sheer desperation to keep their conspiracy theories going despite there being no motivation, proof or reality in these theories.

JTJ no one is listening - a petition with 100.000 names in the UK mean anyone can see the holes in your false police coverup - insulting us will not change that
