    My friend just did his 90 day report in Jomtien and was required to also submit a proof of address. After returning and bringing the proof of address, he was charged 2,000 baht. Is this the new normal? He was not late, the reporting was done before the due date.

    Not true. I divorced my Thai wife while in Thailand, appearing before a Thai judge. She got nothing, even though the car was in her name.
