On MRT I recently topped my Senior card and got the Senior fare.
I remember there's been a relatively recent change towards this policy.. in places like Kao Yai as resident foreigner you could pay as a Thai. I was surprised last time in Kao Yai couple of years ago had to pay Farang's fare showing work permit, and they told me that that was changed from previous times.
Agreed, mine and my family names were in the system so it was always easy to book and we did not have to retype passports numbers. I did book with no issues so many flights pre-covid. Only thing to watch out was to skip the insurance, their web page before final payment was tricky.
