What an absolute load of bo++ocks, spray all the water they want, it wont make a blind bit of difference.

They should wake up plod, and say, get off your lazy backsides and pull off the road every smoke belching vehicle now.

No they just talk, talk, talk, and make a BIG show spraying ineffective water around, dopey sods.

    Just like pi$$ing the wind

  2. 415 is about 20 minutes faster than 44.

I think that's about correct. BUT - depends on how many slower moving vehicles have to be overtaken, and it's not an easy road to overtake. And dangerous to overtake or have a crazy person come towards you on the wrong side of the road. I suppose that's a plus on the dual carriage 44 all the way.

I drive from Chumphon to Phuket every month and have tried all routes. The Ranong route is the worst and can take up to 6 hours if you hit a lot of traffic.

I prefer the 415 as it is quicker but it all depends on the time of day I am usually on early morning and somedays have a clear run

.From Chumphon to Sarasin bridge usually takes me about 31/12 to 4hours

Avoid Friday if you can .Always seems to be busier on a Friday

  3. Totally disgusting.

I was talking about monks last night and asking what the ---- do they do with all the money they collect from all the idiots giving them millions for making merit.

Usually praying for a win on the lottery.

Not that I am religious in any way but most others religions at least help people but what do this lot do?Absolutely sweet F --- as far as I can see.

By the way it was a Thai I was asking and they could not tell me what good they did for anyone.

They are totally arrogant bunch one nearly knocked me over the other day as he thought I should get out of his way .<deleted>

  4. I always find it strange when people still defend Pooket and still class it as a paradise island. When it obviously not.

I find it strange the Phuket bashers troll the Phuket forum. I don't go to the BKK forum and type how if you like living in car park basements then BKK is the place for you

Whats Bkk got do with anything?

I've been in Pooket for nearly 11 years now and seen it turn into a s--thole

You must have your head up your ****if you think otherwise.

  5. No smoking on the beach? Great news for me. Anyone who has ever stepped on a burning cigarette when walking on the beach knows what I mean. It HURTS!

Except for a scant few, the vast majority of smokers have proven themselves unable to smoke and deal with their trash (butts) in a responsible manner. Thus they have to be managed like impolite selfish children.

more likely you burnt your foot on a hot coal from a fire the night before

the nature of a burning cigarette is such that stepping on one in sand is more likely to extinguish it then burn you, the sand will draw the heat away from your foot as silica is a far better conductor of heat then skin

and I always dispose of my cigarette butts in a responsible manner, I slip them in to the pockets and bags of idiots going on about how bad smoking is for non-smokers using illogical arguments to support their claims.

Aussie's can stand on a hot cig butt with no effect to there skin toughest feet in the world.

    As they say.

Were there is no sense there is no feeling.

  6. Yes, and the first rule is: Farang always in the wrong, and must pay for everything and everybody. biggrin.png

    Complete nonsense.
I am not so sure this is nonsense. I would say that this 'rule' is the expected outcome if the other party is considered 'rich' and has money to pay. Really does not matter if Farang or Thai. Naturally the 'rich' Thai has the language advantage and connections to win the case. From my own experience and with a Thai wife to argue the case, I have never paid when the other party was in the wrong.
Yes, that can be correct. But that is completely different from the wordings of nkm.

    Can't see that much difference.

Every foreigner is thought to be rich. So ends up paying for everything which has just happened to two people I know.

The one was hit by a drunk 74 year old who could hardly see. no lights ,no brakes, no license ,no insurance.

Even though my friends Thai wife was with him he ended up paying for hospital, car ,bike and was then asked to give the family a gift i.e money. -----joke.

So you must have had a few accidents to be so knowledgeable (as usual ) on the subject.

  7. So, according to the PG, the Governor has opened his mouth again and the words of wisdom coming out state that all sunbeds are now banned and that umbrellas are only allowed in the 10% zone. Yet more u-turns!

This whole farce is making the Governor, the police and everyone involved with law enforcement and local politics on this island look like a total bunch of brainless idiots who don't have the balls to stand up to the local mafias.

What do you mean? Making them look like.

They already are a bunch of what you said.
