  1. It’s NOT about election security because US elections are already secure and there’s no evidence at all of outcome-determinate voter fraud and what little there is has been committed by Republican voters. It’s a poll tax on the poor and low income people the GOP is afraid won’t vote for them. Republican policies aren’t popular so they have to suppress votes in order to win elections. Thai’s are issued government ID for a few hundred baht. They don’t have to spend thousands of baht to get a passport they don’t need and won’t use in order to vote. In the Netherlands, and most other democracies , government issued ID, sufficient to vote with are provided at low or no cost. In the Netherlands, people are automatically registered to vote. All of them! Not just the voters one party prefers. Ch.
  2. Nobody has ever died from using cannabis. In the 1970's The Netherlands decriminalised softdrugs which separated cannabis from the dangerous drugs like heroin and amphetamines so customers could legally and safely buy cannabis without being offered hard drugs from illegal street dealers. That move saved lives.
  3. It’s easy to tell the uneducated by their comments on viruses. So much passion for something that, according to themselves , has zero effect on them. Don’t want to get the seasonal flu shot? Don’t get one. Simple. Vaccinated strangers pose zero threat to you.
  4. My US passport issued in 2019 had the last three pages reserved for Endorsements but my latest passport issued in 2024 allows visa stamps on every page until the end of the book. Looks like someone figured out that endorsements didn’t need a special page and the vast majority of travelers don’t ever get endorsements so now they don’t have to waste three out of the 48 pages.
  5. What is the current procedure for applying for a visa at the Savannahkhet consulate? it used to be show up drop off your paperwork. Pay the fee. Come back the next afternoon and pick up your passport with the visa. Now I’ve heard that you need to go there one day to make an appointment, go to the appointment the next day and then come back on the third day to pick up your passport and visa. How do you make an appointment? When do you need to go there to make an appointment? What are their hours for appointments? Is the appointment for the next day or could it be further out? Is it possible to make appointments online? TIA
  6. No sob story here. I was married, got divorced a decade later and ended up with a house in my name.
  7. Facebook doesn’t GAF about scam ads as long as they make money. They’re obvious scams, a full block pallet of working, returned Apple products plus free shipping anywhere in the world for $49.95. Sounds legit, right? Users report them and they never remove the ads. I’d think FB would have some legal culpability.
  8. Yeah, the “legal” stuff that’s responsible for the majority of most fatal vehicle accidents and chronic disease. The “legal” stuff that has an LD50, that people actually die from if they consume too much. The original date rape drug. The drug responsible for most domestic violence. If you’re taking about cannabis, it’s now legal too and it doesn’t have all the negatives that alcohol does. In every place that’s (re)legalized cannabis, both opiate and alcohol use decreased as did automobile accidents, violence and other crimes and social problems.
  9. It's technically possible not to wear any hat. That solves your problem of false dichotomy.
  10. If I pay taxes in Thailand I just enter the amount on line 8 of IRS form 1116 and deduct that amount from my U.S. taxes owed. There's no double taxation. He's making a campaign promise to fix a problem that doesn't even exist. Expats in Thighland aren't interested in what you're peddling DonOld.
  11. I recommended that you consult a doctor. That's my opinion, not a medical opinion. I'm giving you advice, not medical advice. Maybe your doctor can explain the distinction...
  12. It depends. If you think Trump will accept the results of the election this time when he didn't the last time when it's patently obvious that he lost then yes, a trip to a psychologist might be in order. What are your qualifications to judge my opinions? Are you trying to say my opinion is wrong? I supported my position with facts, not feelings and not smartass remarks either. So yes, I definitely think a mental health screening for you is in order.
  13. Trump said that he would accept the results of the election only if it was a fair election. To him, a fair election is one where he wins, no matter how many fewer votes and electoral votes he received. So yes, essentially Trump said that he won't accept the results under any circumstances if Harris wins. Despite overwhelming evidence to the contrary, he's still claiming he won the 2020 election. He claimed there was outcome-determinate fraud so they picked the state they thought it would be the easiest to prove and spent $8 million dollars and nine months doing a full recount, full audit, verified signatures, interviewed poll workers and investigated the claims of anyone who claimed there was fraud. They watched thousands of hours of security video and in the end the found ZERO evidence of any election fraud and the found another 354 votes for Biden FFS. This was a partisan group consisting entirely of Trump-loving Trump supporters whose goal was the prove there was fraud and that Trump won. They conclusively proved both allegations were false. And Trump still is pushing the "Big Lie to his gullible band of ignorant haters four years later. If you think Trump will accept the results of the 2024 election if he loses. You're insane.
  14. If the roles were reversed and a disgruntled Democrat had lain in wait with a gun and was charged with an attempted assassination of Biden the conservatives would be saying. It wasn't an assassination. He's not a sniper, it's not a sniper rifle, it's not an assault rifle (or an assault-style rifle), it's obviously a hunting gun and the guy was just there waiting for rabbit season to open.
  15. FOX is complaining that an FBI agent who doesn't like Trump is heading the investigation but guess which judge has been assigned to try the case? Aileen Cannon. The Trump appointed, Trump-loving judge who capriciously decided to delay the federal case against Trump, for stealing and refusing to return top secret government and military documents, until after the election. The possible consequence of that is if Trump is reelected then he can't be tried for those crimes until January 2029, if he's still alive and he hasn't pressured any of his other appointed officials into dropping the case. Is FOX mentioning that???
  16. If it’s on FOX it’s got to be true. How is it unfair when an FBI agent is in charge of an investigation into an assassination attempt, but it’s not unfair if judges actually appointed by Trump drop charges against him or delay trials against him? Trump directly and personally benefited from these biased judges and FOX defended them. What’s the worst case outcome in having an FBI agent who doesn’t like Trump ( like over half the country does) investigating a potential assassin? Do people think the shooter is going to go free and the FBI agent is going to suggest he was just out shooting rabbits? Routh is already facing life in jail and has been charged with two weapons charges and attempted assassination of the president which we wrote a letter confessing to. He’s certainly going to be convicted. It’s a non-issue. Conservatives aren’t happy unless they have something to bitch about. No matter how inconsequential.
  17. Trump supporters claimed there was widespread outcome-determinate fraud so they poured $10 million dollars and spent eight months doing a full audit, full hand recount and viewed hundred of hours of security video in the state they thought it would be the easiest to prove fraud, Arizona. What were the results? Absolutely no evidence of voter fraud and in the end they found that Biden received 384 votes that hadn’t been counted initially. It’s pretty obvious that the Trump supporters were repeatedly lied to by Trump and that they’re all really poor losers.
  18. Michelangelo didn’t paint any girl-on-girl soft-core porn Melania. None of his models were hookers at the Kit Kat Klub either. (Were the initials just a coincidence???) She’s been MIA during the entire presidential campaign. No support for her tubby hubby at all and why does she break her silence? To defend her nude modeling.
  19. I have a one year Thai spouse visa that is good until 15 October but I just returned to Thailand (had to exit and reenter every 90 days due to the type of visa from Savannaket) and pointed out my visa to immigration and they gave me 90 days. Does this mean my one year visa is good for 14 months? I plan to get a retirement visa next but won’t have 12 straight months of foreign income bank statements to show immigration until May 2025 ( due to withdrawal from ATM in May 2024). Do I still need to go back to Savannaket before the 15 Oct end date on my original visa to maintain that status? Can I just go a few days before my Dec 15th expiration date? TIA
  20. He voted for Trump in 2016 and used to be a big Trump supporter who grew disillusioned with him as he watched him lie and ruin the country. He’s not a Democrat, he’s a Republican who turned against Trump and voted against him in the primary and when Trump got the GOP endorsement then he supported the other side.
  21. See a cardiologist and have them prescribe a different anti-hypertensive. Some ACE inhibitors and ARBs can become less effective after you reach a certain age. For people over 60, doctors usually switch their patients to the latest generation beta-blockers (Carvdilol) and either a latest generation ARB like Edarbi or a new Calcium channel blocker such as Zanidip.
  22. Clear choice of what? The loonies always had Trump as a choice. Now they have Trump being endorsed by a conspiracy theorist who believed a conspiracy theory that was debunked 20 years ago that vaccines cause autism and who explained that a worm ate his brain and that he picked up a dead bear and dropped it off in Central Park. The Dream Team for addle-brained bigots.
