It's only a problem when Thaksin does it?

I was going about 30kph the other day when a kid chasing a ball ran out.
If I was coming along about one second later it could have been bad.
A guy coming the other way almost went down running over the soccer ball.

Right Gerry. I can instantly spot the posts of The Nation readers.
They start almost every post with 'the criminal fugitive!'
The Nation has been drilling that into their heads for years. Day after day..and they drink it up like good little north koreans too.
The Nation was always quik to note (without proof) that "criminal fugitive Thaksin" financed the red shirt protests but I have not seen one mention of the 5 million baht / day supporting the current yellow shirt protests.
Who's paying this mob and why is The Nation not investigating?

Several furniture shops along Theprasit Rd. in Jomtien that may have what you need.

I was on Soi Diana this morning at 9am and there was not a single car driving on the entire Soi. I noticed how quiet it was and looked to see if the road was barricaded or something. Eerily quiet.
Maybe its like that every Sunday AM. I don't know.

Why can't the democrats win an election?
Suthep:" Thaksin pays for votes."
Why don't you invite international observers?
Suthep: "I don't trust farangs" "Our election commission does a good job."
Why can't the democrats win?
Suthep: Thaksins pays for votes.....

Thank you very much for the recomendstions.
Will trim back & spray.
I started the plants from cuttings and was excited to see dozens of buds on each plant.
Frustrated to see them dropping off.

High season in Jomtien it seems.
Guess it's the regulars from Norway, Denmark, Sweden, Russia etc.
Practically a ghost town in summer.

They forgot to mention that someone is paying him very well for doing this "job"!
South China Post article on Sutheps relationship with the elite class.
http://www.scmp.com/news/asia/article/1369801/thai-protest-leader-suthep-son-elite-axe-grind
"Suthep's links with the Thai elite go back decades..
But many observers regard Suthep as merely the frontman for a shadowy coalition of conservatives long opposed to Thaksin..
"The people behind these protests are the same people behind the 2006 coup. It's impossible that Suthep is acting alone," said Kan Yuenyong, executive director of the Siam Intelligence Unit, a Bangkok think tank.
"They are spending around five million baht day on sustaining the protesters, so he must have people behind him providing that money."

I call BS on this post. The OP is in dreamville I think
There is a certain newspaper and Television Company here that actually stays in the police station in order to follow the news and if this didn't make the news then it never happened.
I mean a farang stealing Goats cheese makes the headlines but a bar fight with a shooting doesn't?
Troll post.
There is money to be made keeping stories out of the press. Fact.
There is also money to be made putting stories in the paper.
Thai editors are no different than any other Thai businessman. They exploit their position as often as possible for personal profit.

Lots of hole in the wall seafood places along the coast between Jomtien and Bang Saray if you are into exploring a bit.
Take a smartphone / Google maps and explore that area.
Nice.
Another Seafood place I found on a fishing pier in Naklua needs mentioning.
Take Soi 12 and look for the Zign Hotel. Just before the hotel property a small lane leads to a rickety old fishing pier.
You will find a seafood restaurant there. Very scenic with the fishing fleet tied up.

Preecha is a great place when it comes to the food and they do have a sea view, but the ambience is definitely lacking. Not that I wish theyd change the place, love to go there for their excellent cheap seafood.
At Rimpa lapim the view and ambiance is outstanding, but the food quality can vary quite a bit and they are a bit upscale on the pricing.
Pu Phen is one of my favorites in town, go there quite often and whether theres construction or not dont bother me too much, as Jomtien beach road divides the covered restaurant from the seaside tables anyway. Went there last week and had one of the best meals so far, kept talking on the way home if they have a new chef or not.
Not sure what UncleJ is about. As many Thai restaurants here, they might hand you a menu with pictures on it, however Ive never noticed any dual pricing there.
As for Cabbage & Condoms, this is a place where I often take visitors for a meal. Everyone just love the settings and the stroll through the gardens. The food is a bit overpriced and the falang food is not something Id recommend, however if you ask for the Thai dishes to served spicy it will usually be very good. Went last week and had Satay Gai, Yam Talay, Massaman Gai and Homok Talay, everything but the Homok, that was a bit watery, was just excellent.
I didn't realize Pupen Seafood had the farang pricing until my Thai friend noticed the bill didn't match the menu she had read.
The waitress fixed the bill.... So yes, they hand farangs the scam menu here.

Now I have heard of cheap but drinking the water from the ice bucket !!!!! lmao
I rather drink melted ice from an ice bucket than pay 60 baht for water. What a rip-off.
Since it's served in a 5 star skyscraper with a beachfront location, it's expensive.
Amazing. Price sensitive people going into a Hilton then moaning about the price of drinking water.
Yesterday, I had a bottle of water with my lunch and it was only 10bt.... but I was sitting in an alley, on a filthy plastic stool, next to a sewer, eating contaminated food on plates washed in a bucket, nearly getting clipped by passing motorbikes.

I don't think you get it. Foumanlou is a NORTHERN regional Chinese restaurant. It's a place to order WHEAT starches -- dumplings, breads, and noodles. Little point in ordering any rice at all there. No stir frys. Cheers.
Sent from my GT-S5360B using Thaivisa Connect Thailand mobile app
Went there today and I have to say the food didn't appeal to me too much and it was way too expensive.
I'm not prepared to spend 250 baht on some dumplings.
Next...
Outrageous. 250Bt!
After all, you can get a nice box of Mama noodles at 7-11 for 12bt. and it comes with a free spoon. Not to mention you get to keep the box.

Don't ask the condo management. Just do it (and clean up the tire tracks so the maids don't moan about it.)
If they do ask you to move it, tell them to stuff it. What are they going to do? Call the police?
-
I witnessed a policeman handcuff a drunk Russian that was causing a disturbance.
Then he stepped back and the Thai crowd set on him. He was kicked and kicked and kicked and stomped in the head... and finally one guy cracked his skull with a big piece of wood. CRACK! Probably killed the guy.
I too, stopped to make a video of the action.
When they cracked his head, I instinctively yelled NO! The cop & crowd spotted me and I took off and stayed away from that street for a long time.
-
Probably a police owner bar.
You took the video and gave it to them.
Watch your back.

OK I think the OP has got the message.
I don't want to encourage anybody but you have to admit, road racing is a rush. I don't recommend it on Thai roads though.
Sanctioned road races, Isle Of Man. The most exciting race on wheels.
