  1. Of course, blame it on a charger so they don’t have to stop their festival. Don’t want that to happen.
  2. Employers should have to pay and be fined heavily for not registering their employees.
  3. That’ll be hard to complete in 14 days plus dealing with the removal of the bodies, which I’m sure will be much higher than expected. Take your time and do it properly. What’s the rush at this point? Getting ready to build again?
  4. Good for you mom. No more protection and providing money to this drink and drugged up useless man. Probably wanted to do it years ago but afraid he’d kill you. Lock him up for good.
  5. Best go to a lawyer and let them help her through the process. If there’s a Will it should be much easier, but still takes time and a bunch of paperwork, which is usually in Thai. If she can read and speak Thai maybe she can find someone to just help her through the paperwork. Never straight forward here unfortunately with Foreigners involved.
  6. I’d rather go with my hope being dashed than to just give up and wait to collect the dead.
  7. And soon the White British will be the minority. Sad to see others immigrants who come in and don’t assimilate but just take over areas and it keeps expanding.
  8. Quality over Quantity. Weird concept for Thais, but it’s usually very successful.
  9. Should have been jailed or community service at a pet center like many have said. Money, especially a small amount, won’t curb his mental state.
  10. Thai man snatched a bag from a foreign tourist. Let’s keep the headlines equal.
  11. Guess my kids will be buying me the tickets from now on. What a load of BS.
  12. Once again they focus on the wrong group and will get what they ask for and a lot more problems. They need just open their eyes and ears a bit more and see what has happened in the last few months.
  13. The earthquake is not going to happen here, but like the last one, if it’s big enough we will feel it. I think the ability to let people know via sms or any system should be at the top of their list.
  14. I agree he probably had it on his carry on bag with his passport, Wallet and other things and probably did the rest of the bag on the trip and just stuck it in the pocket and it slipped into his passport. I don’t want to think he was that stupid to put in there on purpose, but I guess we’ll never know. Stupid either way and he’ll pay for it.
  15. The untouchable low class Chinese. Thank you Thailand.
  16. I’ll bet they find way more than the news outlets will tell us. Sadly I don’t think that any of the immigrants working would have been on their list of employees at the time of the collapse. The Thais are given me much larger numbers. I guess we will never really know the whole truth. Sadly.
  17. Look. They have only been courting the ASEAN countries for awhile and have forgotten about the America for a few years. With exception of luring in the high spending retirees because it’s the easiest place to retire 😂🤣 Now because of a tv show that was paid for a filmed here they are getting attention from US viewers. The government has done nothing and doubt they ever will. Besides putting out articles about how good it is here, they have nothing to say.
  18. Surprisingly all of the privately owned high rises and buildings that have been inspected, 1,800 out of 11,000, are all fine. I’d be surprised to see any of the hotels or Residential Properties get proper inspections. 6,500 or so is way too many to be properly inspected, unless a drive by counts.
  19. The problem is they still don’t want to address Mental health. Even my Thai insurance will not cover anything to do with mental issues, even for a short time. It’s an illness that can happen to anyone and they need to treat it as an illness.
  20. Happens on every beach all over the world. Drunk beach sex. Nothing new except the smartphone cameras.
  21. To be honest, a week was way too short to get all of the information, data and experts(hopefully independent) to figure out what the factors were behind the collapse. If they do it in a month I’d expect a much more in-depth analysis, but I’m afraid that TIT and it won’t happen as it would in most other developed countries where brown envelopes and loss of face aren’t in the equation. And the death and injury pay is ridiculous. I sure hope someone steps up and gets that increased. That’s a slap in the face to the workers and they wonder why they can’t get enough to work construction and the poor Myanmar people come and do it. I’ll bet the numbers don’t even include them as they were probably not even on the books. Sad for them.
  22. I sure hope they get this BS sorted out soon. It’s causing way too much stress and turmoil. Just make a 3rd category for transgender and non binary people and let them battle each other and let the men and women out of this.
  23. Well they have the license plate so go fetch them, fine them and deport them with a black list. That’s the only way these types of people will learn.
  24. We all knew this was coming. Pushing for maintenance 555 that will take some time , new laws and oversight.
