  1. If your more than 10 years older and her English is limited, she's in it for the cash.

To the OP, you're getting on, look for a women closer to your age. Even Thai chicks in their 40's don't want an old geezer.

Many deluded western men in this country will tell you different but believe me, I'm certain near every single one of them will be paying for the arrangement.

If you're not meeting them in the country, move to the city.

  2. My only conclusion is, the guys like the bar and are satisfied with the type of girl.

Yet, why go for a girl you can never absolutely trust?

Perhaps they don't trust themselves or, perhaps they don't have the ability to communicate well, or attract one of a multitude of lovely girls that don't work in a bar. Perhaps they are not interested in a girl outside of the bar.

Maybe it's the age difference also. Perhaps a younger bg is the only option the guys have.

It's a phenomenon that can't often be explained.

Each to their own. I'm honestly not one to judge. I do know there are good lads with bg's and its great if it makes one happy.

But, you've now grouped yourself with a bg and you'll likely mostly have friends that associate with the bars and working girls (ancillary jobs also included).

On my side, I don't want my wife and child to be associated with former bg's and their progeny.

Why? When former friends bg wives lie and gossip behind their backs and to their face well, that's where I draw the line.

Perhaps also many lads here I've met and know come from dysfunctional families which may partly explain their leaning to the bars and girls.

So yes, you may think I'm prejudiced and perhaps you're correct. It's a decision made not by lack of choice. This is a country where no-one really goes without, so one does not have to resort to selling themselves. Many girls do and many guys fall for them. Again, it's great if it works for you both, but don't tell me it's love and lie about her past. That does seem to be a common trait when the relationship progresses outside of the bar but that's another whole topic.

  3. Don't know how you do it.

Jealously, people wanting money, the inability to have a stimulating conversation.

Hey, I just don't know how you all do it.

I guess it's alright if you've just had a mediocre life and have no further great expectations in the remainder of your lives.

  4. jlcrab you just don't get it man...this "Blackfox" can only be the real Trump. whoelse could be so arrogant, everyone of his posts are about ME...ME...Me. And as soon as he is challenged he reverts to his ghetto upbringing and calls people pricks (thats what a good education gets you).

My guess is he lives in a 20sq metre condo in a crap area of Pattaya, his bar girl wife (nothing wrong with bar girls they work hard) has pissed him off for being a tight arse, so his vendetta against thai women now consumes his life and has turned him into a bitter old farang. And just to top it all he is FAT and BALD...............

Okay then mate. To satisfy your query, how about you PM me and we will meet up.

I'll come alone to a place of your choosing.

Just keep an eye out for the 6'1" ripped, lean lad with a cracking smile.

My wife will not join us. I'll show you some pics however. 175cm former Top 10 Miss Thailand who still models in her mid thirties.

To the other poster; she, as I, own each of our respective vehicles. My wife's is a Nissan, mine is Toyota.

My Thai family owns a restaurant. They often drive about town giving top quality food to random strangers. I participate also and am astounded by the regularity, compassion and thanks received. Yet, it's not done for the thanks. Merit? yes, to some extent but mostly just from the goodness of their heart.

You must remember I previously posted that they, as I, started with bugger all.

Like I say, you want to meet up to clear the air....the balls in your court.

    .

November will have 2 weeks assisting underprivileged and the dead here in BKK.

My wife and family will be a part of this also.

I'm sure the dead will greatly appreciate your assistance.

Kids with cancer, HIV and the dead, prick.

  6. I wonder why " Blackfox" keeps feeling the need to tell us many times over how wealthy his and his wife's families are. I can definately tell him that there are many many families in Isaan that are worth far more than 5 million baht. And as for his families wealth of 50 million baht, and his assumption that very few on here have that sort of money, if you convert that into english money it is about a half million pounds, and the truth is that would just about buy a small 2 bedroomed terraced house in London.

He really needs to get in the real world, these days his wealth is not a lot of money. As for his boast that he stopped work at 45, i am sure that there are many farangs on here that did the same.I stopped at 48, and if he has so much money why does he want to drive his daddies car.

And lastly, just because people come from Isaan doesn't mean that they are not intelligent. My wife was taken out of school at 9 years old, and sent to work as a machinist with her aunty in Bangkok. At the age of 25 she went to work in a paper mill in Japan, before returning to Thailand 15 years later. She taught herself how to speak Japanese, when I met her I taught her English, and as she now loves watching Korean movies on the internet, she has taught herself to speak Korean. So an uneducated Isaan girl, can speak fluent Japanese, English, and passable Korean, as well as Thai, and if you want to throw it in also the Laos dialect, then that is 5 languages. Can his well educated non Isaan wife speak 5 Languages. Just because someone comes from Isaan, doesn't mean they are not intelligent.

Er, that was dollars man, not Baht.

    Hence the "$" sign ;).

We are off to New York and San Fran for 3 weeks leaving next week and then back home here for Maroon 5.

    Trip down under shortly thereafter.

My wife and family will be a part of this also.

  7. I have no delusions of grandeur nor do I have a feeling of superiority thinking I rub shoulders with Hi-So; I'm not, I don't, and I never would. I have no time for them.

Though you post a long post about how rich 'your' Thai family are......

$5M isn't rich in BKK. Yes, my wife's Father and Mother have done well. They are pragmatic and firmly grounded.

I don't doubt that in excess of 95% on this forum do not have a Thai family as wealthy and I'm certain there'd be but a mere few with the wealth of my own family.

For the record, I've made my own money and retired before 45. I'm generous to those in need.

My parents instilled a work ethic, integrity, and compassion as did my wife's parents.

Here, we help children with cancer and HIV.

We donate and I've helped carry the dead.

There are some very selfish, superficial people in this country and throughout the world but I've always found people who express thanks when I help; and I mean always.

  8. Dad lets me drive the black Mercedes Benz, Mum the white Honda CRV. My wife, family, friends, neighbors, and community in BKK are kind, considerate, compassionate, sharing, honest, and and an absolute pleasure to live with.

I guess when you live and associate with low class, you get just that. Education, strong parenting, and a degree of affluence here in the city is more akin to my upbringing and beliefs, and couldn't be further than that of an Issan peasant.

It's a great asset to help others; but judging by most of the posts, the majority are partnered with the very low class. They are nothing like us. You can't have expectations when they know no better.

Okay then. Some think my post is condescending.

I'll be straight with you then.

My Thai family are middle class. Mum and Dad own a couple of nice vehicles, land and property all about $5M. They are honest, proud and hardworking. This has been instilled in the younger members throughout.

My family are middle class and worth about $25M. I have no delusions of grandeur nor do I have a feeling of superiority thinking I rub shoulders with Hi-So; I'm not, I don't, and I never would. I have no time for them.

My family as with my Thai family started with very little but with a strong work ethic, smarts, and a warmth that draws good people, they have become successful.

My wife and I have never taken one Baht or Dollar from our respective families other than being provided a sound education.

My Thai family and friends are generous to those in need expecting nothing in return.

They have absolute hearts of gold and I have the greatest respect for them.

I say again, you can't have expectations of people who know no better.

Education and parenting instill sound values. It's just that many Issan residents are "sooner down from the trees" and don't possess the values many on here aspire to or possess themselves.

  10. Yep, game over for us Aussies. Outplayed and perhaps now outdated. It'll be time to introduce some young blood and build a new force.

I say again, very well played by the English but after copping some flack, might I just remind all of our dominance throughout the 70's, 80's and well into the 90's.

Again, the English team outplayed us to be victors in this Ashes. Well deserved.

  11. Hi Barrie,

Now you have a home in good condition that will bring top dollar on the retail market. If you decide to return later you can always buy another one.

    Best of luck!

I think many as I will disagree with you there.

I have 4 properties in CBD and CBD fringe, each with a sound net return.

"...you can always buy another one."

There are many an older gent here who sold up, spent, and then couldn't get back into the market. But hey, everyone's different.

If he loves the girl and the feelings mutual, then perhaps go for it. It's only one life.

  12. I'm a year younger than you and have about 5 times more.

I retired last year but work with my wife legitimately here in Thailand. All of my assets are in home country and all are reinvested. I won't touch it beginning 48 years (my plan).

I've planned and budgeted and am comfortable knowing there is enough even accounting for contingent large expenses.

    You don't have enough.

You'll need minimum double what you have to make it work here but hey, sell it all, set up shop here, and see how it goes.

  13. You know, I'm beginning to think the way some of you guys talk about farang women amounts to racism.

    In my case you're right.

Have you got any idea what it is like to be treated (without any medical reason) like you have leprosy - just because you're in love with a Thai lady ?

Sorry, Farang women had to prove to me that they are human beings now, otherwise they are trash for me, of less value than most animals. Not because of the colour of their skin, but because of their attitude. They are allowed to prove (!) that they changed their attitude, I'm waiting.

I haven't had that in my country of Australia but I'm thinking since my wife is a hottie and carries herself very well, it is quite the reverse.

BTW; 98% of guys here in Thailand and 85% in my home country don't make the grade in compatibility.

I'm 6'1", ripped, handsome, financially secure, great conversationalist in three languages and have the goods to match it with a former Top 10 Miss Thailand.

Just a reminder that more younger lads are coming back here now post Coup, and sweeping up the pretty girls.

It's becoming a young mans game here now; tech savvy, articulate, lean, handsome lads will always be first choice of same in Thai girl. It's funny, many guys here will be happy to part with the money so as their girl can dress up.

Note: You can dress mutton up as lamb, but it's still "kea".
