It's that simple. We protest or you listen," she said. "We want equality - to be treated fairly - that is all that we ask for, and for justice for those who havebeen harmed."
isnt that already the situation in UK, how exactly do they want it to change ? Special laws ? Special dispensation ? Etc etc

A certificate from Immigration that details who you are and confirms where you live. It is needed for a Thai driving licence, buying a car or motorbike and opening a bank account (usually). Useful little document, that has a validity of one year.
It does not last a year, it is only valid for three months max.

I thoight immigration did not likr fixed accounts as they want to see that you a tually have funds for living on daily basis and see the account being used ???

Im guessing it is fir faster trains, maybe not actual ‘“ high speed “ rail. You will notice they are building overpasses at ever road crossings, since they can ot rely on Thais stopping at a barrier, so im guessing it will be faster rail than present.
there is approval for High Speed track from Bangkok to Utapao airport, but this is not started yet.

“ Meanwhile, a 68-year-old female who had end-stage renal disease, diabetes and hypertension died of respiratory failure at Chumphon hospital. She had been in close contact with a previous patient and was confirmed to be infected with Covid-19 on April 14. She died of septicemia, which causes acute myocardial infarction, on May 24.”
So she did not actually die OF covid 19, this is were worldwide figures are suspect. Judging by her condition, she was not a well person at all. The stated reason for her death was septicaemia.

Two things, if he rescued him from Udon, why take him to Hua Hin rather than Bangkok to get a flight home .?
and why does he need a Go Fund Me account “ with thousands “ to get him home ? Last time i checked, a direct flight back with Eva to Heathrow is around £700 right now .

It is the same as before, go to Jomtiem and take copies of updated bank book etc etc. Basically, the visa amnesty etc does not affect the retirement extension system.

As I have said before, as far as Thailand is concerned, they have not, nor will they, blamed China for anything whatsoever. This is because China owns Thailand and controls the powers that be. China will insist their people are allowed back in, as they are pedaling the belief that the virus is a western disease etc.
it will be interesting to see what Thailand does if the Chinese flood back in and, god forbid, the infection rate here shoots back up. No idea how Thailand will explain that.- 24

So, block the beaches in case of a second wave, then allow Chinese back in . Where do they think the bloody first wave started ??

Did mine couple of weeks ago, using 800k. As you say, only few in queue, was only there for about 25 mins. That section at immigration appears to be the only section in use right now, since no 90 day and visa amnesty for those who cant leave etc.

So many people here just think that, if city hall or government make a rule or statement, it does not apply to them. Another post on here was trying to Get sympathy for french guy fined for being on the beach.
rules are rules, and if people just obeyed them they would not get into <deleted> !!

Mine is due on 2nd May. I have already renewed it on 26th April, as I aske at the IO.
according to local IO at jomtiem, the amnesty does not apply to these extensions etc. If you intend to stay in Thailand for another year and have relevant funds etc etc then you need to renew. The amnesty is there to help those stuck here who do not actually want to stay, but cannot leave due to situation. You obviously do not want to leave, so need to renew.
many people put different views on here. You can believe what you want. However, my advise to you and anyone else, is, do not rely on stuff on here. Go or contact your own local IO and ask them to varify. Failure to confirm directly with them, and rely on mere opinions from people on here can leave you up the waterway without a means of propulsion !!!- 6

Chonburi said that, when Pattaya is locked down on 14th April, they would test 2800 foreigners within Pattaya. I have yet to see this happeninG.

It depends.
But, I will leave it at that. ????
Depends on what ? How does he get round no entry stamp and no arrival card ? Visa offices may be good, but they dont forge those bits.

This needs to be updated, as it is now confirmed that he is a 32 year old Thai with mental issues and has been arrested etc.

Many smart tv claim to have internet etc etc, ut they have cut down versions of browsers and different versions of Android. I had a Toshiba tv which had full browser capability and could therefore download APK files to add apps etc. I now have Sharp Aquus, and the browser on this is extremely limited. Even Google play store is restricted
without knowning the model etc of your tv it is difficult to know the set up.
when i bought it, the sales info says its full smart tv, but it is not.
fortunately i have Apple TV box and seperate Android box, so it is not really a problem etc.

Best advice - go to local Immigration Office and ask them exactly what they want. This is because the Immigration Offices here all seem to interpret rules differently, therefore some will accept what others wont.
people give sound advice on here, but then you turn up at you local IO and they tell you something totally different.

As the more pedantic members keep stating, its the Extension of Stay you are needing, as opposed to the actual visa.
you can apply early but will need, as some have said, a valid reason, paperwork to back this up, copy of exit flight ticket etc etc.
But I see another problem which may occur. You say you are using 65k income method, clearly, if applying two/ three months early, you do not have the full 12 month history of income. Some Immigration Officers are not going to like that. So you need to go along and check this at your specific Immigration Office. Do not necessarily rely on advice on here for this, as different Offices interpret the rules differently. -

Planning for getting Non-O based on retirement
in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Posted
I may be wrong but, I have not read anywhere that suggests that the amnesty covers extensions etc.
the amnesty was set up to cover people who had come to Thailand on a visa obtained from outside Thailand, or an entry stamp. These people did not intend to stay here indefinitely, and therefore, would have left before their visa or stamp expired.
since Covid and restrictions, they could not leave. Therefore they bought in the amnesty.
Those people staying here long term on extensions etc etc did not intend to leave so where not caught here . Those people would normally extend the extension as normal, therefore the amnesty does not apply.
If you are one of those with and extension for marriage or retirement etc, then, I believe, as I have done, you should have applied for new extension as per the expriy date etc etc.F indedd, on going to IO office in Jomtiem, the only section open was the extension desk etc.
As I say, I mey be wrong, but under all the literature I have seen, that is how I would interpret the amnesty.
