  1. it is no wonder Chuwit is in the camp of Suthep. This former child slave trader and pimp has everything to win by returning to the past. His victims dare to disagree with him. But just like with Suthep, Chuwit is there not because he likes Thailand or the people. The beating up of all the people at Sukhumvit speak for themselves. Chuwit is there just to stay out of jail, like Suthep and solely for his self interest. Never believe a former childsex trader.

Wow...where is your proof exactly of that?

I hope your IP address is not too visible.

I just took a screen shot of this and might send it to Chuwit.

  2. You get used to it and learn the short cuts.

If I'm crossing with my passport I always have the cards filled in at home, saves time. (I always pinch a couple of spares on planes etc).

If I'm not using my passport I get what they call a VIP pass, costs 100B extra at the Thai side but saves heaps of time, you jump queues and miss the picture taking.

So 500b plus 100b right ? and you can croos no problems without using your passport right?

I dont want to have to get a re entry visa thats all.

Whats the deal with Thais crossing for the day? What do they need to do and pay these days?

  3. The big money comes from the bars. They all pay every month to about 10 groups, in Pattaya Chonburi and BKK. They come here for a monthly payment. There man goes around and collects.

If a bar has a problem like a girl under 18, or whatever they can find, than it is numbers like 500,000 and more. A few years back, 30-40,000 would have fixed any problem, now its 10 times that

    This is your personal experience?

Think they saw him coming if it was.....come in spinner

  4. I missed a photo opportunity for a beautiful lime-green snake about a metre long, very slim and with what looked like a ridge down his back, or maybe just a slightly darker green line. Really he was a most striking green and I am sorry to not have my cam. Anyone any ideas on what he might have been? He was in my soi along the edge of some overgrown waste ground.

    Edit ---

G>oogling leads me to believe he was a pit viper - but dunno which one...

If very slim like you describe and a metre long, most likely this green tree snake.

Pit vipers usually shorter and fatter.....also if it was stretched out on a bush or tree, then pit vipers tend to be curled up and on the ground.

  6. Showbags, do you know or understand anything about economic cycles?

What does that have to do with the price of fish in Bhutan?

Because you might then understand, that the reason the Thai-economy performed quite well when Thaksin was PM, was due more to the global-economic-cycle being on-a-high at that time, rather than to the quality of the local economic-management. xwink.png.pagespeed.ic.pEtiH2upqe.webp

Of course some people might see him as deserving to be given credit for that, but not anyone with any education, what do you say ?

and "so what if he shafts the country along the way", as you put it ?

I can well remember, how in Thaksin's early days, people were excited because he was already a billionaire when he came to power, so they thought that he wouldn't need to "shaft the country", unfortunately it was more important to him that he "pulls in a few wads for himself" than that he work in the best-interests of the country. A missed opportunity. xsad.png.pagespeed.ic.gBNm0PzB6t.webp

I see what you are getting at...but you fail to see that him being kicked out and the following kafuffle was the direct cause for me losing 6 big ones....thats my focus...cos if he had still been in the job in 2007, I would not have lost 6 big ones.

Sorry for focusing on my own issues, I know it is selfish

  7. Interesting, I thought there would be a tidal wave of first hand examples. Maybe it isn't as bad as people make out

Sent from my GT-I9300 using Thaivisa Connect Thailand mobile app

Thats because you are asking for rejected corruption stories.

I was asking for both to get a fair picture

Your question does not come accross as that...read it.

You are asking if you had paid or offered and were rejected, sounds like you are saying both rejected, even after paying.

  8. If it has not been pointed out yet....the first phase is wong....

    1. Phase one. The simplest way of refusing to admit being wrong. Run away after realising you posted something that was completely wrong but tried to make it look like you had a clue, and leave the others to discuss whatever it was. Dont post in that topic again. At least you're not digging the whole any deeper and hopefully it'll all be forgotten in a weeks time.
