  1. No microwaves..

    EMF..look it up.

Cordless phones and WiFi are 3.2 gigahertz. Quick cycles, supposedly VIBRATING our cells.

I had a hard night last time I posted..Breathing is the best..5 seconds in,five seconds out. And that's the best way to get alkaline.. Breathing in Alkaline Oxygen, exhale Acid CO2

1" pipe might be easier to pump uphill..

Maybe, don't listen to me on this.

    No experts here, yet.

You might plant Arabica as ur the same latitude as us in Hi.

Watch this video.. the first one, 'dirty jobs, Organic Kona Coffee' after seeing it twenty times at the farm featured, I am sure nothing is added until after it's roasted and cooled.. Alohz

  4. Doing bio feedback with a neurologist, I learned that breathing slowly lowers heart rate, as you exhale.

Lately, I've been counting down from 100 with each breath, rarely getting very far. My best one is puting attention on the back of my eyelids.. as if looking into deep space..galaxys and all.my cats keep me awake for hours anyway.. we have some visitors in my forest.. small kine..animals.

    Aloha

  5. My cousin asked if us old hippies still squat..no I said, unless some trouble...

He had to have surgery on his hemmorr...

I do use a compost toilet in my Hawaiian Forest..

Cost $25 ..It was the first Google Page that came up..Sawdust toilet..

I'm told Sawdust is not always easy to find in LOS. Coffee grounds or wood ashes are good. We've stopped using lime..turns to cement.. Aloha

  6. Further thoughts, in case anyone else comes across this forum topic:

Women who are capable and willing to work as long-term, live-in nannies are relatively scarce in Chiang Mai. I'm sure they're findable, but probably mostly via people who know you (and can vouch for you) in communities where such women live/work.

Filipina (and other English-speaking) nannies are much in demand and probably too expensive and choosy--always looking for a better deal somewhere. Unless the prospective English-speaking nanny were connected via family or friend networks I wouldn't even consider hiring her.

Advertising online (e.g., here on Thaivisa) is probably useless, unless you're prepared to pay >B15,000/mo--because women who are internet-savvy enough to see and respond to your ad will be the types who are looking to make big bucks off of dumb farangs. Arguably advertising online is worse than useless--even when posting an ad is free--to the extent that overpriced or "my situation is complicated" candidates waste your time.

Paid-subscription nanny sites are almost certainly worse than useless unless you really are prepared to pay up--and watch out for scam-like practices that induce you to register "free" and then tell you that some great-looking "candidate" (i.e., a bogus one) would love to hear from you; but of course you can't contact her unless you pay (through the nose) for a subscription.

I'd say there's an opportunity here for someone who's willing to set up a real, honest housekeeper/nanny staffing company for CM (gathering candidates through personal contacts not by soliciting for them online). We would have been willing to pay at least a couple thousand baht as a finder's fee for a good and reasonably priced nanny.

I was thinking the same thing..

    Angie's list for domestic help.

I would call star visa company, they speak English and are related to the lady I recommended.. They might know someone else, a young girl who would be accountable to her elders.

    Jus' thinking.. Good luck!

  7. You can't move to Hawaii..without a million dollar visa I don't think, but You can come here for a while and buy income property. Owning the land or condo. We have a great shortage of housing, so rents are really strong.

    Just an idea.

One great post I've seen here is how to move money (back) out of Thailand..

A very smart guy suggests a stock account,

    Then it gave more options..

    Good luck

    Aloha

  8. Great posts..

Lots of fishing in Hawaii also.

Smelly, Diesel oil boats, so I prefer to buy my fish..

    Plenty gardens and Avocados..

    About that Million dollar visa..

And hey, I hitch hike with millionaires everyday and yes, they ask the same questions.. and are very thrifty!

That's how they got their fortunes.

Trust fund babies are much more fun!
