I installed the panels last week with a company called PONIX, everything seems to work, they said they'd handle the permit with PEA but I haven't heard back, do you know how long does it take? is my electricity export being already accounted for? I already have a digital meter. I know there is a code you can push to read the amount of energy exported, not sure which code that is though, any expert?

is your invertor showing any feed in. image.png.4201dbb0d248bc23514285cda44c4cf6.png

op if you can not season the required 400,000thb then you could apply for a  60 day visit Thai wife extension, if you have not already done since your last entry, excluding re-entry permit entry

    sorry should be 800,000thb

If my marriage extension is valid up until 10 August & my 400K will have been in my a/c for just over 2 months am I able to submit my renewal application on the 09 August and then request a 30 day extension whilst it is being approved ??

when you apply for renewal on the 9th they will automatically give you a 30 day under consideration stamp, so you would be ok to stay, but when you receive the yearly extension it will start from 11th Aug

Sounds like you are trying to shift the blame from the Brit attacker to the Thai who was just doing his job?

Perhaps that is part of the problem with us, we can not admit when we are in the wrong? Which goes back being “entitled”

The British man, named Matthew, has been living in the village with his Thai wife for several years. He is known among the security guards as a hot-headed person who frequently causes disturbances.

After being physically assaulted, I’m terrified of this foreigner because I’m old and work alone in the office. If this aggressive resident barges in to yell at me or assault me again, I won’t be able to fight back,” he said.

67 year old smaller Thai man.

how does '' You have much to learn I,m afraid.....without condoning what this idiot did''  read as if the poster is trying to blame the injured party, i think you are anti expat, and defiantly anti aseannow posters, there are plenty of places to get visa info, if that's what you are after

It won't just kill elite and ltr, but every visa like retirement, marriage, investment visas, permanant residents, education visas, eec special visas, boi visas, who the hell

would want the hassles of the other visas, when you can get a 5 year visa so easily for cooking, muay thai, nomads

I mean why only hate on Elite, when every long term visa class would be affected

    June 1st now, lets see

I think you are  being a bit premature in praising this new visa, when no-one knows its ins and outs, I doubt it is the savior of the long term stayer

If he is hiding in Thailand it will not be long before they catch him.

Don't know why people abscond like that, eventually circumstances will catch up with them.

Maybe he should have tried hiding in one of the following countries:

The United Kingdom does not have extradition treaties with a number of countries, including Afghanistan, Algeria, Iraq, Lebanon, Libya, North Korea, Somalia, and Syria

i will keep that list of desirable countries handy for the next time i do a runner

  6. I have an ais yearly sim, and afaik you can not 'run up a bill' as you have no allowed credit, and have only prepaid for internet and maybe certain calls, mine is tied to netflix but i have to top up with enough credit for that bill to be taken

Looks good, might be an alternative to a retirement VISA/extension.

Stay 180 days, extend once (assuming 1,900bht), border hop, rinse and repeat.

    Averaging 3,900bht/year.

Around the same cost as a retirement extension with multi re-entry, but 300kbht less in the bank required.

on other threads on this subject i thought it said the extension was also 10,000thb see @humbug at 7.41pm on Tuesday here

  8. just dropped my passport off today with an agent in Pattaya, 11,000thb all in for a standard one and 12,000thb all in for a jumbo, they do all the paperwork and copying and pay for the passport, lets see how long it takes to arrive back

I was thinking of doing it myself as i am off to Bangkok next month for a few days, close to the new vfs place, but decided against it

Note: think you will find that the 30 extension needs to be obtained prior to the 60 day extension to visit wife.

op is divorced, 60 day is the tourist visa entry, with a 30 day extn, then if required a visa exempt entry with another 30 day extn, giving him 5 months to sort out the financials for the non imm O

i quoted a poster that suggested a tourist visa

Get a tourist visa in the UK.  That will give you a 60 day entry.  Assuming the proceeds of your sale come through within that period transfer the 800k and apply in country for a single non-O, 90 days later get the extension. Easy.  You can always get a 30 day extension of the 60 if needed.

If you have the equivalent £ of 800k in your UK account you can easily get the non-O there.  There have been reports of people getting single non-O's with less £ but I suspect things are getting tighter rather than looser.

Failing that hang around there and enjoy the weather and cricket.

as posted, after the 60day +30 day extension, if more time is needed you could do a border hop for a 30 day visa exempt with a 30 day extension, before applying for the 90 day non imm O

    Hi there,

Is it possible to apply for Marriage visa from a Visa Exempt stamp entry in passport or do i require first to get a Non-O visa.

If i require Non-O visa how long is required to get from Singapore. From when apply online to receiving reviewed status.

any info would be greatly appreciated.

before you can obtain a 1 year extension for being married you will need a non immigrant 'O' visa

Everyone who is into ev acts like they are so concerned about the environment. Meanwhile their last car was a gas guzzling suv. Imo almost everyone should be driving super gas efficient cars. Of course commercial vehicles get a pass. I’ve said many times on this forum I get 70 miles per gallon on highway here in Thailand and I think those numbers could even be pumped up with all energy and design put on better fuel efficiency. But nobody cares everyone wants suvs and ev’s because it’s somehow cool. They’re not cool. Drive fuel efficient cars. Drive speeds conducive to fuel efficiency… which means driving much slower to the uninitiated (for not ev and gas). Everyone speeds though. It’s dangerous, it’s bad for the environment. Nobody actually cares about the environment it’s all virtue signaling trendy yuppie bs

is that proper gallons or us gallons

Binged (for me) over a few nights on @giddyup suggestion Under the bridge, a pretty interesting show focusing on the events around the murder of a Canadian school girl, based upon a true story. Cheers for the suggestion.
