  1. I don't understand the op nor all the replies to the topic.

The op - if you're a us citizen, why pay an agent 93k for a tourist visa for your wife? Why not apply yourself? The actual cost for visa fee and getting all the required documents would have been a fraction of this amount. Another point is when COVID started and ask restrictions came about - why didn't you contact the agent and ask for a partial refund as the process couldn't proceed?

Now, after 4 years you want to continue what was started back then? Doesn't make any sense IMO.

As for all those who say the agent did a runner - with all the restrictions of travel during the COVID era I would assume he had no business going and probably either just closed the business and went on to do something else or maybe even went bankrupt like so many other business in those bad times. Accepecting the agent to refund any of the money 4 years after its just stupid. And suggesting the op to engage in a criminal activity? For less than 93k? Come on....

It looks like s single engine turbo prop which might require a type rating and probably the equivalent of a commercial pilot certificate.  This could be like saying John Travolta piloted a B727 in his time.  The truth might be an experienced commercial pilot was the PIC (Pilot in Command) with a co-pilot?  Co-pilot could mean someone who has very limited experience.

Don't believe everything you read in the newspaper.

Wow. You got all this information from this picture? Amazing.

As for commercial rating - it has nothing to do with size of airplane\type of engine. The difference between PPL and CPL is that with PPL you can't charge for the service and with CPL you can.

Not just intentions you need to supply evidence of your stay that matches the application.

My wife had an application refused by the French as we were spending one night longer in Italy, which equated to a few hours, than we were in France, despite the fact we were flying to Paris from Bangkok as well as flying home from there.

Yes, once you have your visa you can pretty much travel within the Schengen Area at will.

There are no regular immigration checks at member state borders, but they do have them occasionally, we’ve encountered them on trains.

You can very simply book hotels that charge upon arrival and can be cancelled without penalty. Same for airline tickets.

What is it about you denialists of the existence human-caused warming that seems to make you incapable of understanding that the issue isn't change per se, but rather the accelerated rate of change.?

I can only speak for myself, but there are so many parameters that need to change if anyone REALLY wants to slow down the changes. The main factor is a population of 8 billion people and rising. The next factor is the consumption strategy of capitalism - buy as much as you can (and take loans if you can't afford it) so the economy can grow. Another stupid scheme was the selling of carbon rights which made some people very rich and contributed nothing to the reduction of co2.

So all these articles and facts have no real effect on the situation

Not quite that simple, you have to apply via the Consulate with jurisdiction for your main destination, ie where your going to spend the longest time.

If you intend spending an equal amount of time in both countries she would need to apply via the Consulate with jurisdiction for her point of entry into the Schengen Area, so that could be Iceland.

If you intend spending longer in Sweden, than she would need to apply via the Swedish Consulate, either way she would need to supply travel and accommodation details for the complete stay.

Incidentally applications for visas for Iceland are processed by the Danish Consulate in Thailand, though I believe Iceland processes applications in the US.

During a trip there a few years ago we were surprised just how many Thai tourists there were, though they were outnumbered by the Chinese, stunning country.

You're talking about intentions. You can apply at any Embassy you want, telling them you intend to stay there the longest. Once you're in Europe, nobody checks nor care through which Embassy you got your visa. For my last trip to Europe I planned flying and staying only in 1 country. However I realised it will be much easier and faster to apply at an embassy of another country, and that's what I've done. Upon arrival at my actual intended destination I was asked by the IO why have I applied through another country when I'm actually visiting his. That was the first time ever I was asked this question, even though I always do it the same way. I simply answered "changed my plans" and I was stamped in.

You totally missed it and don’t understand my post.

I have dual sim iPhone. A US provider sim and a common Thai sim. Call to and from either country via wifi calling 100% free to any number, and never charged 1 red cent or a single ฿. If one has a dual sim wifi calling enabled phone then there’s absolutely no need for a “Travel sim” Skype or any other.

The opposite, sir. I totally understood you, but you didn't understand my reply.

I also have duel SIM phone, and also another phone just in case.

The wi-fi calling aka VoIP is a service provided by the cellular company (AIS, dtak true or any overseas such company). The ability to use the service is provided by the phone you use. If you put a sim of a provider that does not support this service, your phone won't show the option of wi-fi calling. Now, as I use AIS I can only comment about their service, and it is available to use overseas. When I travel out of Thailand I take the spare phone with me, buy and install a local SIM of the country I'm at on that phone and use the local data to provide wi-fi for the phone with Thai SIMs (I have 2 Thai SIMs) and as you said, I can use my Thai numbers as if I'm in Thailand at no extra costs.

However, there is a country I frequently visit and have a permanent post paid SIM of that country as I want to keep the number. On my last visit to that country I checked with the provider if they support wi-fi calling, and the answer was yes. I asked to have the service opened for my number and tested it while there - worked great. When I returned to Thailand I tried to use that phone over wi-fi and not only it didn't work, but the option on my phone wasn't showing. I put a Thai SIM on the phone and the option magically appeared again. So I called that overseas cell company's customer service and the final answer was that they block the service out of the country. I then contacted 2 other cell providers and both answered that they only provide this service IN country. I am still looking for a way to bypass this restriction but haven't found one yet. I have installed a VPN with servers in that said country but still didn't work. I contacted the VPN provider who told me that their servers do not support VoIP traffic.

So if anyone has any suggestion how to solve this problem please tell.

If you have a Singapore sim in an iPhone, then put the phone in airplane mode and call over wifi to the landline.

    1. Not only iPhone. Samsung has it as well and I'm pretty sure every midrange upwards Android phones have it as well.

    2. This service (VoIP) must be provided by the cellular company. Although AIS (and probably other Thai companies) allows to use the service overseas, I checked with some non Thai cellular suppliers and they only give that service in-country as they prefer to sell expensive roaming packages.

I have a sim from a non Thai company that gives the service in their home country as I hoped I'd be able to use it here, but it's blocked. I installed a VPN with servers in that country and still won't work as the VPN servers won't allow VoIP. Still haven't don't a way to overcome this problem...

She will be fined and on top might get tax issues which is most likely the reason why she does not want to file the TM30. She is avoiding to report rental income.

I keep seeing that tax issue tied up with tm30 and I never understand why anyone thinks there's a connection between the 2. Immigration and tax department are 2 different bodies that have nothing to do with each other. In order for the tax department to get the information from immigration, IO has to go out of their way to inform them. Why would the do that?

As for the landlord not willing to do it - I can think of many reasons. Extra work, disclosing personal documents to a tenant just to name 2

    Maybe. Maybe not.

He's clearly got the public on his side. How the public react if/when he doesn't get his way will determine his destiny.

Compromising on this issue and losing the support of the public would most likely weaken him to the point that he would be a lame duck prime minister. It would empower the senetors to vote against every peice of legislation proposed potentially paralysing the government.

Politics is a game of compromise wherever there's more than 1 party. If any party could win enough seats to have a majority in parliament there would be no need for a coalition. But if you need other parties in a coalition, you have to accept their stance on all issues as well.

So if he wants to be PM and that issue as he (and his voters) wants it stands in the way, he should find a compromise that will be a step in his direction and others can live with it as well.

    acceptance and tolerance...

That should go both ways. When I see a male dressed as a woman and tries to behave like a "woman" (they usually behave like a stereotype created by men, and not like most natural women) I find it hard to address that person as a woman. And they don't accept people not accepting them as they decide.

It's ecxectly the same as some older people trying to mingle with much younger people because they feel young. The younger people don't usually accept them and older people ridicule them

Tried that a few years back. Didn't work as advertised.

    1. It also eat trees/branches

    2. If you have young trees/plants - it will just walk all over them

    3. It only eats the type of grass it likes, and I still hat to cut the rest

    4. When they ran out of grass they eat I had to go get more from outside

    5. During the hot season not grass to be found - had to buy. You can't leave those with an empty tank for more than a few days.............
