  1. You don't need to tell me he wasn't coming to City. I said it on the City thread a few weeks ago and we never even bid on him. As soon as Juve said the transfer fee we ended any talks. As for 36 hours before a deal. I think we all knew he was going to United more than 36 hours before.
  2. Alright then. He's a tad good. Can't even give a compliment nowadays without being jumped on. Are you one of those WOKEY types ????
  3. Wouldn't want your heavily debted club to fall foul of FFP would we ????
  4. What I wrote above are facts. Denial doesn't become you. Although I should be getting used to it by now.
  5. Hope Ronaldo does the right thing and reimburses any RAG who bought a Cavani 7 shirt. On second thoughts, no I don't ????
  6. You are attempting, unsuccessfully I might add, to twist what I said. The facts:- United were offered Ronaldo a season or 2 ago. United not interested. United aware Ronaldo wanted out of Juventus this summer. United not interested and didn't make a play for him. United then heard after City not getting Kane we were showing interest in Ronaldo. All of a sudden, United interested. Those are the facts. All of the above said, do I think Ronaldo is a good player. Absolutely yes and I'm sure he'll bring a lot of experience to the team. All I was saying was, that was a panic knee jerk buy to stop him potentially coming to City and absolutely obvious he wasn't in you short, medium or long term transfer plans. If you can't see and admit that, well, you ain't being honest to yourself
  7. "People" don't dictate the transfers at United as far as I'm aware
  8. I would presume that would be a breach of accounting regulations for FFP otherwise every big club would be doing that with a sponsor as a way around FFP
  9. Haaland once watched United on telly, so he must be favourite to go there now. I also think cos it's United they'll let them keep the transfer window open, just for them of course????
  10. I've seen articles saying he is on more than your lower figure and lower than your higher figure. Either way, they are paying through the teeth just to stop him coming to City. As soon as daft money was banded even for his transfer fee, we said shove it
  11. Up the mighty Dale ???? Rochdale 4 L Kelly (33rd minute) C O'Keeffe (50th minute pen, 72nd minute) J Andrews 78th minute) Liverpool U21 0
  12. Just been all over looking for some Hammerite paint. Can't find it anywhere, so bought a tin of something which I thought might be similar but a tin of rubbish is what it was. I'm doing a small job and really want that "hammered" finish that Hammerite gives on metal. Has anybody found anywhere that sells it or found a Thai alternative?
  13. Oh how times have changed. I remember when United didn't give a jott about where City are in the league. Now the RAGs think you get a trophy for being 1 point ahead of us when the season has nearly finished after 3 games. Bless their little cotton socks
  14. Very harsh. I also couldn't believe that he made his decision off one freeze frame of the incident. How can he tell off one frozen picture if it was intentional? He could have at least ran it back a few seconds
  15. Read my post again. I didn't say that Ronaldo didn't want to return. The points in your post don't make any sense in response to what I said.
  16. I will do my due diligence on that then, as I was under the impression he had that 100mil in his contract
  17. You got offered Ronaldo last year and said no. One year on, you still weren't after him until you heard City might be interested. That isn't a well thought out transfer policy, it smacks of knee jerk reaction that's all
  18. Well tell Chipbutty to stop with his infatuation with us on this thread ????
  19. Why are you trying to make it sound like they all rejected City? We didn't pursue Messi, we refused to pay Juventus transfer fee for Ronaldo, so pulled out and we refused to meet Levy's fee for Kane, which I stated on here months ago that we wouldn't. As far as I'm aware we never shown any interest in signing Mbappe and haven't made a bid for Haaland, probably due to his agents outlandish demands. As for Grealish. It was more than I would have like to pay but fortunately it's not my money. He had a release clause and we met it. Quite clear cut and we'll see if it was worth it in time. A lot of people said 50m was too much for a Chelsea reject (KdB) and look how that turned out ????
  20. ???? "Drooling" !!! I think the majority of City fans didn't want him, the main joy would have been how much it pee'd off United fans but it's best not sign players just cos it might pee the opposition off. United weren't even after him as you don't need him and then City showed interest, so you had to have him. I reckon we laid a trap and you jumped in again, like with Sanchez.
  21. Told you we wouldn't cave in and stump up what Levy wanted. All hail Kane and his 100% loyalty to Spurs ........... well ............for this summer!!!
  22. Sure do hope so Kads. My daughter is attending full time on line schooling as she is in an International school but I see in our village loads of the Thai kids playing out all day and doing very little schooling if any as they don't have on line facility. This will come back and bite the Thai economy when these kids come to leave school
  23. How many draws in that run? It's nice to go on runs as it builds up confidence but having too many draws in a run won't win you anything
