There are about 10,000 protesters in Bangkok at the moment, and the BRAVE police, arrested 100.
Really admire them and their boss.
Wow,you have good eyesight, you can see them all the way from Khon Kaen?
agree.
i walk past two main protest sites daily, there are literally a handful of people at each site - and the few at the pan fah site are mostly the homeless filling up on the free food and sleeping in shade of the canopy.
it is not right that so few are allowed to inconvenience so many

this is a well known situation at all levels of thai government and internationally.
there was a recent bbc documentary about slavery on thai fishing boats. the corruption at all levels was clear for anyone to see. the police pay lip service to the problem and collect their cut.
the EU representative in thailand was interviewed - as the EU is a major market for thai fish - and he basically wasnt interested in doing anything to pressurize the thai government to respond to the problem.
too many people are making too much money

this is not thai people.
why we care?
can stay in myanmar or cambodia if dont like!!
we dont ask you to come here.
this is THAI land.
absolutely. and any thai that travels abroad and has a problem please dont complain.
it is not your country!
no one asked you leave thailand.
no one asked you to travel here!

Thai banks rob you in many ways. If you want to withdraw half a million of your own money, you pay about 1000 bahts to
the bank
my gf told me if she uses an ATM outside bangkok her bank charges her.

Insurances are invented to MAKE money nothing else...
of course they make money thats the point of being in business - or would you start a business to make a loss?!
as for doing 'nothing else', a completely incorrect and ill informed statement:
i'm no fan of insurance companies however my home was flooded last year. the insurance company responded immediately and professionally. they provided all the support required, easing the stress and strain on myself, and settled the 40,000 GBP claim efficiently and completely.

the PDRC are opposing an inept, discredited and corrupt government and yet still fear going up against them at the polls.
if the opposition cant beat this lot then then they dont deserve to govern the country.

dont be so touchy. if you have nothing to hide and as long as the staff are polite and you are not delayed too long what's the problem? they are just doing their job.
if they do manage to catch paedophiles isn't the safety and protection of vulnerable children worth a a small inconvenience on your behalf?

i know plenty of thai guys who didnt pay sin sot and of one german guy who paid 2.4 million and is still, after five years, the butt of the families jokes because he was such a sucker and they were so smart. it's a mugs game.

her (over) reaction to an 'accidental' mis-dial is puzzling, even for a thai female.

if your young its proberly good for you to get out but if your old like me then this bar girl dating scene is the only option one has
Who are you fooling? Paid dates don't count.
'bar girl dating' interesting phrase. if you are paying someone to be with you is it a date?

you're not there for the formative years of your children's lives. what do you expect?
if you want to be part of your children's lives then your priorities need to change.
dont blame others for your failings as a father.
be there for your children, be a father to your children or risk the consequences.

on a hot day would you walk round your own capital city streets without a shirt?
what would people think if you did?

despite all the guff about their politeness and thai smile blah blah thai's are often incredibly selfish and inconsiderate of others; noise, blocking pavements, riding motorcycles on pavements, not holding doors open, not giving up seats on public transport, pushing in queues, etc. sad but true.

it would be beneficial if you included the following information:
what qualification/s do you have in teach thai as a second language?
what experience do you have as a thai language teacher?
where have you previously/currently do you work as a thai language teacher?

go for it scotland. not sure i'd want salmond as my leader though... and its going to be fun watching it all unravel; too many 'if's' and 'maybe's' at the moment. and no plan B for the currency, hummm... glad its not my country.

as i remember the pick up charge was 35 baht 10 years ago, so no increase to take into account inflation or rising fuel costs since then.
i live in bangkok, as does my gf, and we use taxi's almost daily. we never take a taxi that is sitting waiting or with drivers that approach us and we dont take taxi's outside hotels or other tourist places.
it is rare that a driver will not use the meter. it is more common that the driver will not go where we want to go and while annoying one who will soon turns up.
i know bangkok pretty well and i honestly cant remember the last time a driver didn't take me the route i myself would have taken.
i have no bangkok taxi driver complaints.

due to her limited english ability your wife will certainly need assistance from someone you, and she, trusts.
suggest you to speak to the executor/s of your will and make sure they are clear on what your wishes are and the likely help your wife will need.
and check they are committed to helping her!
Dozens of arrests as police raid Thai protest site

no, no, you got it wrong, the government are the fascists!
i saw a poster at a protest site saying the the government are 'worse than the nazis' - i think someone needs to read up on recent european history before designing the next poster...
