There is no requirement that the funds have to come from abroad to apply for an extension of stay.

l am at present on a Non O , l will be applying for an extension of stay based on retirement, at present l have the 800,000 baht in the Thai bank which l transferred here thru ANZ bank in Australia.
In my other bank account l have money which l transferred here thru Transferwise who don't actually send money to Thailand it's all done without borders and l get heaps more than any bank would offer, but would appear to be a local transfer in my bank statement
My question is for the future, if l presented the bank balance that transferwise transferred into my bank in Thailand would that be accepted by immigration?
Cheers

Alright, maybe somebody can Clarify for me please.
The wife rang the Sakon Nakhon immigration office for me today and this is what they told her.
1/ 2 passport pics
2/ 800 thou in the bank (has already been there for 5 months)
3/ Blue Book Copies x 2
4/ ID Copies x2
5/ Bank Book Copy. Front page and last page .Same day
6/ Letter from bank. Same day
7/ Bank Statement. Same day
Someone who has done a retirement extension at this office does this seem right?
Also if l go prior to the one month say 3 odd days is this ok? (She forgot to ask)

If he is living in Kalasin it could be that long of a trip to the Sakon Nakhon immigration office since that is the office responsible for Kalasin.
Yes. Your spot on Joe

You seem to be making the assumption that the OP has, like many people do, wrongly described an extension of stay based on marriage. I don't see anything to assume, in this case, that the OP has anything other than clearly stated. They seem to have entered the country with a non-immigrant 'O' visa that was issued on the basis of being married, and now wishes to apply for an extension of stay based on retirement.

From the Royal Thai embassy London Website.
Non-Immigrant Visa.
(for purpose of business, study, conference, seminar, film production, journalism, job,
volunteer, for person accompanying Thai spouse, for persons over 50 years of age and
pension earners over 60-65 years of age)
So a Non -O visa is a multi purpose non specific visa and stating a " NON o based on marriage "
implies a marriage extension of which I was not entirely certain hence the ? at the end
of my sentence.
I posted the requirements requested to obtain an extension of stay based on retirement in an effort
to assist the OP not to Muddy the waters in any way.
But please stir the pot at your leisure.
BTW the OP has, up to now, not said he does not have a marriage extension.
l do NOT have a marriage extension. l have a multiple entry Non - Immigrant visa Based on marriage

Go to the Sakon Nakhon Immigration office.
On the wall you will see a list of the current requirements.
Many of the previous requirements have been done away with recently.
Thanks for that.
I'm nearly 3 hours drive each way from there,if anyone is going there could they take a pic for me please
Cheers

l have a non O visa based on marriage and next month will apply for an extension based on retirement at Sakon Nakhon immigration
l know about the 800 thou in the thai bank for 2 months for first time and being over 50.
Could someone give me a list of other requirements wanted by Sakon Nakhon immigration as l know they all differ.
Cheers

Typical Thai answer.
From Panasonic
Dear Customer, No limit for outlet pipe length but should be less than 5 meters and the outlet pressure must be at least 3 liters per 1 minute
-
Just now, Crossy said:
On a multi-point the length of the outlet run shouldn't be limited other than by the time you're prepared to wait for hot water to get to the end of the pipe.
Which heater did you get?
That was my thinking, but was a bit worried. Waiting for the hot water is something i'm used to in Aus so no problem.
Ended up getting the Panasonic DH-6GM4. (On special)
-
Would 5 metre outlet hose be too long?
l have read the instruction book but says nothing about length
Have emailed Panasonic but no answer
Any ideas

So he is a Sudanese who just has an Australian passport. Simply having a passport doesn't actually make you an Aussie. Many get the passport and leave the country. Probably came as a so called Refugee, fast tracked citizenship then abandoned Australia. An Aussie passport opens up more doors than a Sudanese one.
With you on that one.

They're based in Thailand so of course they accept the local currency or credit card.
I don't know why you would think they would accept Australia dollars just because they're the Oz embassy.
You can't pay for a Thai visa at a Thai consulate in Australia with Baht.
It's local currency.
Silly me.Expecting something that would make life a little easier for your own kind.Your standards must be lower than mine, glad you were not working for me when l had my business. It's called service.

About 1,250 Baht plus the holder, but as I didn't buy that myself I'm not sure how much it was.
Certainly look bright, i'm using mine to light up any unwelcome guests around the outside of the house

Yup, but a 300W LED would be like a lighthouse, watch out for aircraft attempting to land
Very good, was just using it as an example, most likely 20 w or there abouts
-

Yes, plus the Watts or Amps quoted.
So l could put in up to 300W LED Globe if that's what the light takes?
Rated load : 1200W (Resistive load like incandescent lamp)
300W (inductive load such as LED, energy saving lamp ) -

Easy, just follow the instructions
Make sure the sensors you buy are the correct voltage and can handle the current of your outside lighting.
You mean like this?
Power source : 220-240V AC
-
Looking at adding these movement sensors to my existing outside lights, does anyone know how easy or hard they are to connect?
Thanks

Ok Here we go
I'm building a house, it will have 2 bedrooms with 2x 9 Mitsubishi Inverter air cons both 9 btu, The lounge room will have a 24 btu air con.Bathrooms will have 2x 6kwmultipoint water heaters, kitchen will have a 6kw multilpoint water heater.,House lights will be led downlights 7w (not sure how many yet). Of course there will be water pump, washing machine, 2x 55 inch led tv's.
Where we are building, right next door some other people are building a mattress place we see all over the area. They approached my wife, said do we want to go half in the costs of the box (transformer)which would save us both money, l asked them how many amps and they said 30 at 15 amps each. l don't know what any of that means but i'm worried it won't be enough.
Can anybody give me some advice on this .
Thanks
