Sure you can pay them but when? Next month? Next year? Next decade? When Hell freezes over?
Be when the courts stop blocking the payments and Suthep mob (50 left today) stop terrorising the banks into now paying.
You guys really need to get out into the real world of media.

"....the two policemen were legally conducting an intelligence-gathering mission."
AKA Spying. My condolences to the spies for their injuries. Go into the jungle, you may get bitten.
May be the people doing the beating may not be caught but their leader, Buddha Issara, was the interrogator and the leader and clearly should be arrested and prosecuted for his leadership of this act of violence against the policemen and interfering in their line of duty!
What 'violence' ? I see none in that picture. Yes they are blind folded but I see no obvious evidence of injuries. Please offer proof of this 'violence' or else turn your clearly biased vile rhetoric down a notch or two....
Please go to america or most other countries in the world and do this.
See how many of them you would end up dead. USA 100%
They are lucky they are operating in Thailand with its' morally bankrupt courts and elites and media. Hopefully these days seem to be coming to an end and there is no sign whatsoever of Sutheps Coup.
20 hours late with the news BTW. We been talking about this and being asked for info all day. Some people on here are living in terrible ignorance of news.

Really! Where did you get the information?Looks like the Cabinet has approved the funds to be released and some banks have come into grant loans.
Who is going to step up now and prevent the payements.. EC? PDRC going to visit all the banks etc.
Easy enough small budget problem that would never have led to all this carry on in a normal country.
Also still waiting for the links to the near death beaten police!

Sad you so short of newsfeeds in your area.
Can't post links to them so you'll have to live in ignorance and accept what we say. BP running it now, MCOT, Khao Sod to name but 3.
Scheduled Cabinet meeting so you would think more media would be interested in running it... unless it does not fit with their aspirations!
The soldiers last night, there were pics all over the internet. inc' some on here, so 0 out of 10 for thinking or researching before you post.
Happy hunting for the truth should you ever tire of Bluesky propaganda.
What soldiers???
Sent from my XT1032 using Thaivisa Connect Thailand mobile app
the 4 with outstanding arrest warrants that the Police asked the army to hand over.
And the original report on the police at Cheang Wattana was that the PDRC thought at least one was a soldier.
Enjoy your news blackout. I'm timing the delay between the real media reporting these issues and them showing up on here with the Yellow Spin.
So much to learn, so little time eh. Maybe best stick to bluesky, they'll only tell you or show you what you like... Bless

Ah it explains where all the drones are now they are not needed to show PDRC failure

The only blocking one now is Suthep.
The Governemtn have publically called for talks, but they want the full ouster and Poodle Council.
EC talking to the wrong people and they are part of the problem as ever

From my memory it was part of Thailand since the war. Can't be much there worth fighting for.
The resources could be much better spent on the rest of the country. At the very least, a referendum should be held, but it should be at the behest of the Army or they will Accuse PT of treason etc. like they did with the temple.

What a victory for the government! They arrested someone who wasn't even bothering to hide, having a meal by himself in a shopping mall. They got a single leader after months of protests! Chalerm must have gone into an alcoholic coma with all the celebrating! Well done!
Sure keeping the rest of the sheep on their toes.
Many of them must stay with the protest now 24 hours or face arrest when they stray.
No more of this driving in and out to protest. Big step in the right direction is this and there were many arrests last week, and more to come if the Army decide that organising a hit team is a crime in this country.
Chalerm knows how to work them up, get them excited that police might turn up and give the the violence the Army need.... and then he dissapoints them!!
I love seeing them out their failling. It is breaking the financial backs of their support base. Easy to count the crowd this morning outside Central It was ONE. no more, no less... ONE!!!

Too late Sombat, the great reformer Suthep was there first and has already raised millions. Hey, it's taken the Democrats 13 years to catch up with Thaksin regarding public relations but they've finally made it.
Hmm 20 million for the farmers and 280 million for another land plot in the south.
Not doing bad there is he. Maybe I should go out, raise 1 million for them and pick up royalties of 12 million for my self.
The farmers will see through this as they spread the 20 million across the north. less than half a baht per person. Excuse them if they don't take Suthep Seriously in this.

- Popular Post
Thats nice of them.
If they spread it around the population of Isaan and the North thats about 50 satang per person.
Undying gratitude long way off. Maybe some land donations would be in order, but looks like somebody else gets the land.

I'm so interested to here you flesh out your drug killings nonsense.
Espescially the statistics bit. I've read virtually everything on it, inc. the outside analysis of the figures.
Go on. You and your buddies quote this on every thread. Post me your facts and statistics and I'll show you the real ones, and also show you and your buddies that you know squat and are regurgitating garbage you have heard from a friend of a friend in a bar....
Lets have your full version then please. We seen at least 3 people trot this out this morning on here (all with different stats as well I note)
Meanwhile OT (which the war on drugs isn't)
The police will know full well now who ordered this and they'll be making politial capital out of it or looking to extract money.
Well done the Police again They have caught quite a few this week. Once they stray from the Asoke Pen, the sheep are subject to the laws of the land again!!
Such as they are
Well if you are as well informed as you say you are then why not share your inside knowledge with the rest of us...... unless it's a secret of course.
So thats a "none of us know" Well done guys!!!
Pipkins, you should be a politician! It's an accepted fact within most circles in Thailand and worldwide that there were in the region of 2500 murders during the war on drugs but who was responsible for this mass killing spree is open to speculation as explanations vary from the police being given 'quotas' to fulfill to the drug dealers turning on each other in mutually assured destruction. And I guess we shall never know as police investigations (or probes if you prefer) into the murders weren't able to find anyone guilty of anything.
No-one can prove who was killed by whom or how many or whether it was murder or whether that was more than the normal rate of killings. Some sources suggest it was mainly "dealer on dealer" violence. For sure, Abhisit's investigation couldn't pin the blame on Thaksin (though you can be sure Abhisit tried very hard, given that he is such a hopeless waste-of-space as a politician, so he can only deal in irrelevancies!)
By the way (1) the King endorsed Thaksin's approach in the war on drugs.
By the way (2) there was a lot more to Thaksin's 'war on drugs' than is commonly mentioned: there was a whole rehabilitation programme too.
Finally, does anyone really care if some hundreds (or even thousands) of drug dealers got killed by their customers, dealers or anyone else? Try going into villages in rural Thailand and getting them interested in "the rights of drug dealers". They'll laugh in your face!
Who cares if drug dealers were killed? Why are you even raising this? Thais don't care. I don't care. The human rights people say they care, but no-one locally cares. This is a dead (sorry for the bad taste) issue.
Least we managed to get one of them to speak out their non knowledge of the stats.
Indeed the death totals for the period covered ALL deaths of every kind during this period. This was done by thaksins haters to bump up the death toll massively.
therefore, using these stats, if you are to claim that 2,000 2,500 or even 6,000,000 people were killed in the drugs war period, you would have to assume that NOBODY whatsoever, died of any other cause whatsoever for the entire period.
I lived here through that time, and belive me, there was a massive downturn in the amounts of drugs available on the streets. was all some expats could bleat about in the bars back then. No naked girls, bars shut earlier and now no drugs. Thaksin really took the hit from the expats over that.
I don't know why they rant on about it on every thread, and then get the nuts and bolts of the detail so drastically wrong.
never mind, give them something to re-gurgitate in the bar to impress their other badly informed mates.

Wow, a real testament to Thaksin who not only opened the airport in the first place but was right about it becoming a hub.
I remember how all the haters sccoffed at the airport and made false accusastions about the runway etc.
So nice to see it doing well and those unlucky enough to fly from Don Muang military base and golf course can see the difference in attitudes and approach between the 2 sides.
Well done swampy... An Airport to be proud of.

Biggest problem with Phua Thai is they think the only part of democracy IS the vote!
Sent from my XT1032 using Thaivisa Connect Thailand mobile app
It's a bigger part of democracy than a gun toting elitist controlled army and court system sticking its nose in every minute of every day.
Most parliaments in the world can function without one deadpan componant (Dems) running off to Court after the end of every session weeping and wailing for the Governments overthrow or for policy to be ruled illegal etc.
Some of you praying for this coup need to really waken up to how badly informed you are becoming by blindly following this gang of thugs.
So you believe democracy is JUST the vote as well... enlightening !
Do you believe that Thailand is need of political reform?
Reform yes, but inclusive total reform carried out with full participation and through democratic system
Reform of
Charter and Courts (the country is actually ruled by them and anything they don't like, brings fascist mobs out)
Police - of course
Low level corruption - it is endemic and everybody is involved in it in day to day lives. More education I suppose
Education - need to know more about their country that they are traditionally not taught. Esp history and their role in the world.
None of this needs an Elitist top down approach where the majority party in the Country for the past 20 years (PT) are totally excluded.
This is fascism and you need to read up on it. Suthep is following Musollini in quite small detail!!!! Really, you need to read up on it.

The Thais know exactly what they are getting with the PTP and continue to vote for them, because in their opinion, they are better than the Decoratic Party. It is their choice, now get over it and allow the democratic process to take its course.
That's the biggest problem of the Democrat party and their followers. They think that unless you vote for them and they are in power, it's not Democracy,

Here is the dear Buddha Issara monk. Is this the way to treat people in Buddhism?
This guy is a DISGRACE.
What's he doing? Sitting on a chair talking to someone!
What's disgraceful about that?
Again no facts.
Sent from my XT1032 using Thaivisa Connect Thailand mobile app
Is this a monk or a king? Is a monk supposed to BLINDFOLD people when he talks with them?
He is a DISGRACE for Buddhism around the world.
Agree. They beat and tortured them for 7 hours and only let them go as one looked like dying. they are now in hospital.
Wonder why the police don't catch anybody? This is reason number one.
Disgusting PDRC and the only thing worse now is the backers who are keeping this idiocy going by having the Army threaten the Police about not moving them on.
Least it gets good airing on Twitter and FB. All media feed from twitter so it does not go unnoticed.

Top bloke, did more for Thailand than anyone ever.
Examples please, or is it satire?
Sorry you seem to be getting short changed with your Bluesky subscription. Try a little googling or try listening to people who know more about the country and it's history than you do.
Social Order policy
Opened the airport at Swampy after 40 years of Elite/Dem corruption
Healthcare for all
Education extended One Tambon One free Uni Place in effect.
Student placements and expansion of University system
OTOP
war on Drugs really lowered the amount on the street and now almost everybody just misquotes the figures. The policy was a success. PS, read the section on that and see who praised him for it!!!!
Lowered Debt, balanced budgets
After facing fiscal deficits in 2001 and 2002, Thaksin balanced the national budget, producing comfortable fiscal surpluses for 2003 to 2005. Despite a massive program of infrastructure investments, a balanced budget was projected for 2007
Income in the Northeast, the poorest part of the country, rose by 46% from 2001 to 2006.[62] Nationwide poverty fell from 21.3% to 11.3%
Thaksin's economic policies helped Thailand recover from the 1997 Asian financial crisis and substantially reduce poverty. GDP grew from 4.9 trillion baht in 2001 to 7.1 trillion baht in 2006. Thailand repaid its debts to the International Monetary Fund two years ahead of schedule.
Hmm Now where was thaksin in 1997? Who was in power of the country that set off the Whole asian financial crisis and almost broke the back of the country? Lucky he came along or we would still be very much third world status.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thaksin_Shinawatra#Economic_Policies
Strange that people who have not lived in Thailand for very long, don't know anything at all about him.. Other than what they hear in a bar or go-go bar where the social order policy affected the trading in women. Bars are the only place in Bangkok that I really hear open critisism of him. I don't hear it at schools as part of my work, not from teachers or parents. Just the bar folk supporting him now

Great news. I bet the others are less cocky now. I have a bottle of champagne waiting for the day I see Suthep in leg shackles.
I seriously doubt that he is worried about a long stay in jail, or that the rest of the protest leaders are shaking in their boots.
This arrest will only create more problems for the government. They haven't got anything right yet.
On the contrary.
They are still in power, albeit caretaker mode, but this actually puts more pressure on the Court who have to release funds and permissions etc.
We know they hate the Junta appointed courts so the fact they are waring with them and exposing their partisanship is a step in the right direction.
PT are fighting this very well and have kept the army out, kept the death toll to less than 5% of the Dem/Army handling back in 2010, won the support of EVERY major Government, NGO and Media outlet on the planet and kept Suthep out in the middle of Bangkok where he can only damage his own backers finances the longer it goes on.
All on the Coup side fully expected the Police to crack heads during the week of rioting in November (peaceful rioting was that ) and when they just opened the gates and let the PDRC in, it was a master stroke. Suthep is now desperatly walking around trying to atract an attack on him and is seeing his finances dry up.
Govermnet winning plaudits for sensible and peaceful handling of protesters. Protesters who had geared up for violent confrontation and now left scratching their heads.
Well done all round I'd say.
Suthep has acvhieved nothing at all of what he hoped for. No power, no Coup, no violence. Bye bye
PT are right to war with the Courts and are fighting a very good battle.

Looks like lots more marching is on the cards. Supply of funds drying up and an article yesterday said that some of the biggest backers are in the vicinity of Asoke and Central world.... wasn't Zen marked out for being pro -gov back during the last coup? They are losing money hand over fist which explains why the Government just leave them there.
Let them go broke and make sure they cannot come back for another Coup attempt next year.... Their losses are just starting as many retailers who cannot afford the rents are set to default as well. More Joy for the Elites.
Bet they thought they could just lose a certain amount of money and then claim it back of the next Junta or Poodles Council
DSI called in 58 individuals and companies who each donated more than 1 million baht to Suthep. Their accounts are now frozen. Really stops looking like a peoples revolution and more like the Elitist Sponsored Coup we always thought it was.
http://englishnews.thaipbs.or.th/dsi-summon-58-persons-clarify-financial-support-pdrc/
The girl in the Pic is a bit part actor, the wife, family and staff all saying the same. Pantip really do out these people.

Police now formally asked Army to hand over 4 soldiers that go as high as Warrant Officer level!!
Col Winthai Suvaree said the four suspects are assigned to work at the 9th Infantry Division in Kanchanaburi, also known as the Surasee Task Force.
http://www.mcot.net/site/content?id=52f8aa35be0470321f8b4599#.Uvi2w_mSzCa
Not sure what happened to the other 2, but they seem to be saying the guy with the gun who they caught was included in the 6, Interesting development in any case
Are we sure these are the highest ranked Officers that are involved!!! Or are these just the ones tasked with the hit.
More pressure on the army to pile on top of everything else, inc. a slew of bombs and killings in the South. An area they have control over and can get nothing right.
More reason for them to ditch Suthep!
-
Police are really making inroads now arn't they, much to the disgust of the PDRC fan base
They just picking them up when they stray from the flock!!! Best tactic and it has avoided clashing by going in with a hit team.
This is who they'll get them all. and they'll all be much more wary now
Be interesting to see if the Courts just let them go, as you do for insurection, trhying to overthrow democracy and blocking streets in a Capital City.
Good they whisked him out the capital as well. The mob won't be marching around there in a red shirt area. Not now they down to their last 100 or 200!!
Awesome news comrade! Surely this will boost the morale of the people and encourage them rise up against the imperialist running dog oppressors and their elite capitalist masters! At this rate arresting the other 18 Tools of Fascism will take only three more years!
18 years rounding them up is better than the 20 years we spent in Europe fighing them to the death. Sure the world won't let another regime of this sort take hold in Asia!!!
18 - 20 or 2. Fascists always get there's.

Yeah right! Took them long enough to grab one insignificant guy who let down his guard. I expect they are waterboarding him at this moment.
As it was only on Thai TV and media you'll have missed that they picked up quite a few guns last week!!! And the warrants for the 6 Soldiers in the Kwanchai shooting.
They getting them, and they know how to be patient..
Suthep will have to hope for his blood on the streets another day. Lets hope his fellow BKKians don't tire of him first and make his the next drop. Mussollini finished his days at the hands of his own "supporters"

But for Suthep blockading the banks and Gov offices it would have been paid.
The decision is now made to release the funds, but the EC have to approve it tomorrow.
All eyes on the EC then as they seek to block payments to the very people they are trying to bring to their side. Oh for a simple life

Did somebody really say Bluesky!!
About time the press on the suthep side were awash with crowd shots.
With one leader arrested today and the outing of the machine gunner they sent to protect the ballot papers from voters they are having bad press days despite controlling most of the media.
Bluesky......
Kittirat says many banks interested in lending to government

Wow
you were denying the existance of this article and the police one with me 5 hours ago. Shows how behind with things you get if you don't open up the old mind and read other media that bluesky.
Governments borrow all the time and the rice scheme is not that big a deal. The dems now they lost their coup think they can make capital from it though so the media churn out hundreds of articles to make it appear big. Compare it to EU farming subsidies and it come up laughably small.
Least we can see that a Government is functioning at some level again, which is good for the country.
