  1. Please can anyone help me

I went to pay my Internet bill electric bill and water bill in tesco also tried big C  and 7/11 all refused to allow me to pay without a Thai id.

Don't the staff know aliens are not allowed to have a Thai id, they refused my passport and pictures of me in every room of the house.

    So how do I pay?

And what's this nonsense about anyway

  2. I have noticed that before any new regulations being introduced to mandatory health insurance my emails and Web sites are bombarded with adverts selling heath insurance to Thai ex pats.

It's started to happen again after a few months with nothing so I assume there will be new regulations coming soon

Umm, he has Thai son. Think he could get non o based on that. Think cut off age for dependent is 20?

However op might have problems with other aspects. Certainly could not obtain non o based on retirement due to financials.

He is in difficult spot I'm afraid.

When the son reaches 20 you can get a dependant visa/extension for the son to take care of You not sure how this works

If you happen to be the owner, housemaster or possessor of the place where you are going to stay, then you have to submit a TM30 for yourself within 24 hours after arriving at this place.

If you would arrive at your new place on Monday at 12 noon, then in theory you would have to submit a TM30 before Tuesday 12 noon. They don't track your arrival time, so if you just say you arrived Monday evening (they won't ask for it anyway), then you have Tuesday all day to submit the TM30

Thanks that's worth knowing hope the bus driver isn't related to the io officer and snitches on me

Thanks, I got it from a post in another TM30 thread, suggesting a shift in the time to report, and I thought, "great!", that's progress.

So there is no change to the 24-hour rule on TM30 reporting.

So if I check out of the hotel at 12 noon on Monday I have to file a tm 30 by 12 noon on Tuesday correct?

Hope the bus font break down on the way home

  6. Might be a good idea to ask but bit the thing is it could change the next day or could get different answers from different io officers.

Would there be a problem if I filed the tm 30 and it wasn't a requirement on that day with that particular io officer.

Might be best to do anyway might make a nice day out

Well, this is the big question. How far will each IO push the letter of the law as it stands? We are told by some IOs that it is only necessary to do a TM30 once for a particular address, others say every time you return to the Kingdom from overseas, others again that you must do one every time you stay away from your registered address. A wonderful ambiguity that allows for change at any time resulting in yet more fines.

If I got fined would it be at my 90 day report

Or when I next apply for renewing my extension

To my knowledge, in general you need to register, or re-register, if you have been travelling abroad.

Best is to ask your local immigration office, as the individual offices might have slightly different rules.

    That you can guarantee

Anywhere you stay overnight someone is responsible to report that stay within 24 hours of your arrival.

If the forigner arrives at midnight and stays for 4 hours

    Is that considered overnight

Or 3 hours or 5 or 6 hours

How about if the forigner stays for 3 hours goes out for an hour  and returns for another 3 hours
