Looks like no Provincial travel by land so unfortunately no unless there's a extremely good reason with relevant paperwork.
You say “looks like” but I did not see any mention of this in the announcement. Does anyone have any links (Thai or English) that suggests the Sarasin bridge land border will be opened up on the 1st May ? Or anyone with a credible source who can clarify ?
There are lots of posts on TV about the airport resuming flights, but nothing about land entry.

What about the provincial lock down ? Will Sarasin bridge be opened up on the 1st May ? (I want to get in Phuket, not out).

Your right in saying that you are cleared up to 31 July for the 90 day reporting.
But for the extension and 90 day reporting i would do it as soon (up to 45 days before the extension expire date) the districts are opening up and not wait till 31 July.
Most likely this will happen well before that date.
Am I the only person who suspects the sub-districts will not be opening up before the 31st July (or at least not all of them) ? Otherwise why is the visa amnesty not being extended to 31st May, or 30th June ? Do the immigration know something we don’t ?

When I seen the headline I instantly presumed it was the Smile Coin scam that’s been doing the rounds in Pattaya, I guess they will be next..

To me, your two statements seem to conflict.
Are fines and bans being waived, or are people being forced to exit and apply again?
I’m just as confused about all this however, I’m pretty sure the immigration are not forcing people to exit and apply again, not if all the borders are closed.

You're wrong.
Maybe I am wrong. I hope I am, but I have yet to see any articles or posts that state Non O visa entry stamps (irrespective of what date you arrived) will automatically be extended.
Is the 26th March cut off date old news, and now been scrapped ?

Maybe you should read the full story where the following is stated: However, he did confirm the automatic visa extension does apply to all visa types.
Asked specifically whether the extension apply to one-year visas, he said, “Yes, the extension applies to all visa types.”
But only if you arrived in Thailand after the 26th March, so if you arrived with a Non O before the 26th March you do not qualify for the automatic extension, right ?
Please someone correct me if I’m wrong.

I can’t see what the problem is, the Italians will have mostly left Phuket by now (it was the Italians who brought the virus to Phuket, not the Chinese). Just open up the island and start again, starting with domestic tourism.
As someone mentioned earlier, there are plenty of expats (and Thais) who would love to come and experience the new Phuket, clean beaches, no jet skis, little traffic.

If these requirements are followed by the airlines the planes will be half empty. Airlines are not knowingly going to operate flights that produce huge losses. So the questions becomes how expensive will a seat be.
Thai Vietjet are offering 8 flights between Suvanabhumi and Phuket on the 1st May, I would guess they will not even half fill these planes, maybe the other direction with an exodus of stranded tourists leaving the island, but not the BKK-Phuket route.
No doubt they will sell tickets for all flights and then cancel the ones that don’t sell enough, resulting in ticket holders being moved to a later flight, something Vietjet have done many times before in the past.

I think across the world it's just a case of living with the waves and the risk of catching it, life must go on otherwise countries will go bankrupt
I totally agree, but the numerous TV members who have become Covid 19 experts overnight will disagree.

Went from HH to Phetburi this week. 3 checkpoints and stopped at each one. Temperature checks, urine checks (yes they were taking the <deleted>). No request for passport or ID at any stop. I reckon you are OK to go to BKK and back so long at you have home address in HH and Prachuap plates on car/truck.
Mmm.. I can show a HH address but my car plates are not Prachuap (or Bkk), this is also what worries me.
-
Ok can someone please enlighten me, I’m in HH right now and I presumed the place was on lock down (not allowed to enter or leave HH).
So does the governors comments mean I’m free to leave HH ? As I need to make an urgent trip to Bangkok, I will then return back to HH.

The governor and his government must take full responsibility for these cases, only 2 or 3 weeks ago Phuket (particularly Patong) was rammed with Italian and other mainland European tourists, a large portion of these tourists would have entered Thailand when the neighbouring counties in Europe would have already started to restrict movements.
The Phuket Paradise Beach full moon party was allowed to go ahead in March, when other gatherings all around Thailand were being canceled. Many of these tourists would have flocked to Phuket after discovering the main full moon party In Koh Pha Ngan was canceled, many of them are still in Phuket now being ordered to stay in their rooms. I would say its more likely the virus would have been spread at a packed beach party, where you have groups of people sharing and drinking out of the same bucket, sharing the same straws, but no, we will blame it on the hookers on Bangla Road.
As many will agree, sheer greed for the tourist $ will be the ultimate downfall for Phuket, not a virus, the virus is merely a consequence of such greed.

I guess Anupong may have overlooked the fact that only 3 weeks ago in Phuket (particularly Patong) the place was rammed with Italian and other mainland European tourists, a large portion of these tourists would have entered Thailand when the neighbouring counties in Europe would have already started to restrict movements.
The Phuket Paradise Beach full moon party was allowed to go ahead, one week after the Lumpini boxing stadium outbreak. Many of these tourists would have flocked to Phuket after discovering the main full moon party In Koh Pha Ngan was canceled. Those same tourists of which many of them are still in Phuket now being ordered to stay in their rooms.
But it’s OK, for the problems in the south we will blame the “foreigners” in Malaysia for attending a religious ceremony in Kuala Lumpur.
Yet another brain dead Thai politician passing the blame in the name of saving face.

Your post does not state any facts, only words in the form of "stop complaining". There are many arguments on this thread that go against your "opinion" which you have completely ignored, this merely confirms you are a trolling.
Im probably in the same bracket as you in terms of being affected by this however, im not the type of person who will take pleasure from others who may not be as fortunate. I certainly wouldnt lower myself to calling them ass***oles.
These are very difficult times for everyone at the moment, even in your prefect world im pretty sure you will have experienced some inconvenience yourself, so please try to be nice.

When they are nice and offer a 30 day extension for all foreigner, so they should not need to travel and the risks included with that. Then many of you have to laugh and complain about a necessary letter. Always something, right. Can never be happy and satisfied.
It´s not strange that our reputation in Thailand has fallen flat, when the only thing so many people do is complaining. Even when they are given a choice. Stop thinking that you are some kind of royalty, and that everything should be given to you on a silver platter.

Does that make it a buyer's market - or will the logic state that the price has now tripled to make up for the lack of victims?
My usual hotel in Pattaya when I checked 2 weeks ago was 960 baht, 3 days ago it was 1,600, today it’s 1,750, logic ?
The same standard hotel room I can get for under 1,000 in Bangkok and Phuket.
I’ve never understood why Pattaya hotel rates are amongst the highest in Thailand, for a place that really is a cesspit (and now an empty one).

You mean he is shocked at how much Baht he is getting in exchange for his home currency ?
Phuket prices have actually not gone up that much. Maybe a 10-15% increase over the last few years. Accommodation prices in general have actually gone down.

The bars are not 40% down, there is simply double the amount of bars than a few years ago, creating the appearance of each having less customers.

Does anyone know any reliable and skilled furniture makers in Phuket ?
Im looking for an individual or small local (Thai) company that can do custom made, not one of the many overpriced road side showrooms you see all over Phuket.
Thanks if anyone can help.

Thanks UJ, I vowed to myself that I would never do extensions of stay again, is the 60 day extension straight forward, or is it the same hassle as the 1 year extension of stay, i.e. 2 trips to the immigration office, bank statements, photos of inside/outside my house, etc, etc ?
-
I was about to start a thread but maybe I dont need to after seeing this. I think Ubonjoe can answer this pretty quick.
My Non O visa issued on the basis of marriage to a Thai expired in Sept, my current 90 day stamp expires soon, im not ready to get a new visa and would like to get an extension, is it possible, and how long is the extension ? I heard it was 14 days, but after seeing this thread it looks like 60 days is possible ?
Note: im under 50 and on a Non O (not a Non O-A).
Thanks in advance.

Oh ok, so I just do the standard visa on arrival ?

Emergency extended for one more month, night curfew to remain
in Thailand News

The purpose of the curfew is to keep the crime down, half the population is currently unemployed, government must enforce a curfew otherwise muggings, burglaries etc would sky rocket.
Sorry no link to clarify this, just my opinion, personally I think it’s very obvious. Also I’m pretty sure the government would not admit to this, as it would mean admitting they don’t have crime under control in the country.
