One would presume that the Frenchman did not harpoon the whale himself and that these skeletal remains were found washed up on a beach.

Whether the Frenchman actually found them himself or if he bought them shouldn't really matter.

His actions did not endanger the (already dead) whale and he was not trying to take them out of the country.

They should just explain to him that he is accidentally breaking an obscure law that no one knew about (until this incident) and tell him that he has been a naughty boy, end of case.

The confiscated bones can then be stored away in a lock-up, to prevent people from seeing them. ????

I think they have a law here what says you can't remove anything from the beach or ocean,

  3. Hmm this  guy must be a tourist first time in Thailand not an expat interpreter sure or just ignorant with death wish. The way he tried to cross the street without looking, with incoming cars is not the smart thing to do here in Thailand.Like another poster said thais never stop at a zebra crossing.Hope he gets better soon but he has to blame himself at least a bit for trying to cross the way he did.The driver was probably scared the car behind him will bump into him if he stops at the zebra crossing. Most thais I know don't even know a zebra crossing

    Hello,

since about 2019 when they changed Immigration Laws you are required to show Bank statements for one year showing monthly deposits of 40,000 Baht for Marriage Visa and 65,000 Baht for Retirement Visa or lump sums in your Thai Bank account of 400,000 or 800,000 Baht 60 days prior to visa application and must stay in account 90 days afterwards or of course a combination of cash deposit  and monthly deposit combination are allowed totaling the above amounts listed.

But why immigration still want to see embassy letter about my pension when extending? For 22 years embassy letter was enough for them.Last tuesday at Sriracha immigration they asked also to see 6 months of bank statements. When I asked if they still need the embassy letter they replied "yes'.What about people who don't have  a thai bank account?90% of thai banks ask to see a workpermit.Something not adding up,immigration needs you to have a thai bank account but banks don't want to open accounts to foreigner.Every year they add some more bulls....

I recently paid (last month) 1500 baht for 4 fillings and teeth descale plus 4000 baht for a front tooth ceramic veneer to give you an indication. Service wasn't as polished as some places but it was survivable.

Are you sure it's ceramic and only 4000baht?That's really cheap

There is a new Seahorse Cruise route that connects Pattaya directly with Koh Samui for 2500 THB and up depending on what kind of seat/room you want.

Sleep on the ferry overnight and you'll wake up in beautiful Samui.

www.spcruise.com, if you book directly through their Facebook page you can get set up with a trip over.

I tried to book online from there website for December, first of all website still under construction, second booking only via phone, third no schedule for december yet, also 2500bt per person is not really a bargain,2000bt for the car I would swollow .For 3 people with car 9500bt oneway, wow. Also they seem to have problems with their ship,it broke down a few weeks ago

I understand but would you like Thailand to be like the UK and let immigrants from all over to come and get equal treatment?

Foreigners, especially over 60 are a huge burden on the Thai health system, one reason they ask for insurance now.

Going to the cheap hospitals does work out sometimes but you can't rely on them.  Calling them racist when they can't help is very inappropriate, after all they do for farang who can't afford private.

Immigrants don't pay anything, most Thais don't pay anything or only a few baht  at government hospitals, farangs pay full price and pay cash,on top of that farangs get overcharged because they are farangs, and yes this is racistic and greedy.

I had extremely chronic DVT eleven years ago.  My doctor gave me Warfarin for months and then took me off of it.  My next check up showed my INR was too high so I was prescribed a bigger dose of Warfarin. My doctor didn't know what else to do.  Real long story short is I ended up at Bumrungrad at the Horizon Cancer Clinic and Dr. Harit gave me a complete physical and said he had never seen a case as bad as mine. He prescribed Xarelto, one pill a day for six months. Back then Xarelto was 800 Baht per pill but it got the job done !!! All up I spent 20 months under medical supervision.  I wear a full length compression stocking daily.  I have had two doctors recommend that if I were to fly in excess of 3 hours I should inject myself with Heparin every 3 hours during a long haul flight along with drinking a lot of water, compression stocking and walk around the plane frequently.  I hope this information is of some help to you !!!

    Where to get Heparin?

Given Putin's intention to annex part of the Ukraine , it would be a good lesson for him if the Ukraine became a NATO member in record time . If , ever , he decides to use Nukes on Ukraine , it would be a nuclear attack on NATO with all the consequences .

Ukraine with all it's valuable resources would be a welcome addition to the EU and Nato .

"the consequences"They would be what?3rd world war!!!I think we don't need that
