Well I actually see only 5000 up(Hilton) in agoda and booking.com,most hotels don't tell what kind of breakfast,I'm tired with the thai hot dogs, thai ham and rice in the morning.I like decent cheese, bacon, eggs, yougurt, potatoes and a decent coffee

I am comparing visa rules to visa rules...
why is it that so many farang think they are or should be so superior that Thai should roll out a red carpet... because they buy 30 baht noodle soup and help the economy, they are special... do you feel that for some reason that Thailand should be honored to have you here?
Are you for real? Most tourists don't eat noodle soup and 30 baht times are over.A country what is highly dependent on foreign tourists (12%+GDP) should kiss the shoes of western tourists, before covid friends came here 2 times per year for 2-3 weeks spending an average of 3000Euros per week hotels/flights excluded. After their vaccation was over they back home,no intention to overstay or working here in Thailand.Expats are those guys what kept Pattaya/Phuket,etc floating during pandemic.Expats with a longterm visa here have a pension or whatever minimum 40000bt per months, average I guess over 75000bt,of my 78000bt I put 60000bt into the thai economy, buy food, going to eat, going to mom and pop shops, buying cars and motorcycles etc,so what should be a logic reason for an immigration officer to give me any problem while I extend my visa????Developing ???Developing was before the Army criminals took over now it is going down

What is it like for an average Thai person to go to a Western country...
Comparing apples with....,Thais should not get a visa at all for western countries unless it is a marriage visa, most Thais like to overstay or disappear.,working without permission to do so.Then what is your point of comparing visa rules of first world countries and third world countries?

I had a dryer here in Bangkok - in 30 years it may have been used a dozen times, removed a decade ago. Thai want sun smell freshness and very easy to move to covered area for most people when rain comes.
If you must have I would buy cheap and forget inverter (the big cost is the heat and inverter not going to help that). Make sure electric line able to provide wattage.
I have here permanent 85-95% humidity, the clothes are under a roof, but with no sunshine and the high humidity and permanent rain showers nothing drys fast.I stayed 8 years ago in Lopburi(Phatthana Nikhom)different weather there, average 3-4celsuis higher temp and less humidity.I stay 30 km away from Pattaya there is sunshine here it's raining.

HI I want to buy a dryer and it seems to be a bit difficult to find the right one because I have no idea about dryers.Maybe someone has some knowledge
First of all what is the difference between an expensive dryer and a cheap one?
Second do I need an inverter?
With the permanent rain here clothes need 2-3 days until dry and rain won't stop until November. I like to dry shirts and pants only

I saw the Toshiba and thought ok for me until I saw they have dryes for 30000bt up.
Thanks for any input

Of course I know of what you say, but don't blame me that the Germans were so stupid as to dig themselves into that hole!
Will Germany divert some gas to Poland and Romania?
Will the economy not tank if a 3rd world, possibly nuclear, war unfolds.
Own up to it! A billion Euros a day, supporting Putin!
If you are a German hater is fine for me you will have your reasons, but seems to me your hate is damaging the part of your brain what is responsible for reasonable logical thinking.Germany is in this situation because they turned/turning off nuclear/coal power plants to turn Germany into a carbon neutral economy
Stupid?Maybe not.Smart?Maybe not,it was a mistake, but at least they do something for the environment.By the way it's 220 Million $ per day.And you don't cut the supply from Russia overnight it needs time, stop ignorant before you blow your biased information into the world

Putin's war on Ukraine may be going on for some time. Any problem's we might have are so small compared to the problems Ukraine people are having. We have to suck it up and help the Ukraine's any way we can.
And why is that? The NATO,USA and Ukraine got enough warnings from Russia,Ukraine also got a lot of money from Russia not to join the NATO and stay neutral, besides that NATO promissed not to expand further eastward. All Zelinsky had to do is staying neutral, this of course is not in the interest of the USA and NATO,thanks to that we all have to worry about 3. worldwar.I'm not a Putin fan boy but you don't play games like that with maniac like Putin.Instead of sending more weapons USA should try to negiotiate.

I like to think a lot is going on behind the scenes to help the Ukraine, the suffering of the people, particularly the aged in places like Mariupol is gut wrenching. Meanwhile Putin threatens the rest of the world with his 'my missile is bigger than yours' tactics, and nuclear threats that appear to have the rest of the world in fear. Germany finances Russia's genocide and murder with gas payments and Eastern Europe looks on in fear.....
If you have no idea what you are talking about why not just keep your thoughts for yourself!!!55% of power supply in Germany comes from Russia. If you cut that the lights go dark in Germany and economy will dive further,if the German economy is diving the rest of EU will drown. You are probably not from an EU country so of course you give a f... about the EU.,but believe me if the EU is drowning then others get problems too.

Just get paracetamol (Tylenol),plenty of food and water, and subscription to Netflix.
Self isolate.
Your wife probably has it also.
There's nothing else you can do.
Out entire family got it two weeks ago. Very mild although we all still have persistent coughs.
Fata Jones and some other bone headed herbal remedy being offered (some MP is profiteering).
Lay low. You don't want them sticking you into some private hospital where your going to be charged hundreds of thousands of baht to lay in there bed and take paracetamol.
We've all recovered.
Make sure you have ATK tests to update your situation.. Day 8 we were all testing negative.
Crazy thing is my wife still tests negative,I tested positive on April 16th,her company don't want she comes to work even she is negative

Are you sure about that?
According to the info on the COVID Passport website linked to below, all vaccines with WHO emergency use listing (which includes SinoPharm) should now be accepted for travel.
"Three other COVID-19 vaccines are recognized by only certain European countries: Covishield, Sinopharm, and Sinovac. These three have been recognized by the World Health Organization for emergency use.
Currently, not every country in Europe recognizes the validity of these COVID-19 vaccines for travel."

If you go to a clinic, you run the risk of being hauled off to quarantine. You should not need to go unless you develop breathing difficulties. Stop smoking, at least until you are clear.
Antibiotics are useless against COVID, it's a virus. Anti-virals may help, if your wife can obtain them. Favipiravir is the most common.
Self-isolate, and test yourself every 2-3 days with an ATK. Don't come out of isolation until the ATK is negative.
Yeah,that's my plan

Don't take any antibiotics. You don't say how old you are: I ask only because I suspect risk of you being carted off to hospital or whatever will be much higher if a) you are over 60 and b) you disclose your diabetes. And of course you're foreign so there may be an assumption that you're more likely to be able to pay for incarceration.
Otherwise just stay at home. I had it in September last year (after 2 x AZ) so I guess it was Delta. Runny nose and a bit of a sore throat, and sense of taste/smell affected for a couple of days. I didn't tell anyone official (despite my wife telling me I should), just stayed at home.
A pulse oximeter is quite useful for checking your O2 stats although I don't know how accurate they are (buy on Lazada or whatever for a few hundred baht). I checked my O2 saturation 3-4 times a day.
Curiously I did my annual medical about 3 weeks after getting it and the chest x-ray apparently showed I had 'opacities' from Covid. They got quite excited and insisted on checking O2 saturation at rest and after exercise ... 100% for both, and resting pulse at 56 bpm. Also I'm usually borderline anaemic ... but not this year! And my cholesterol was back in the green as well. So, maybe it was a 'Covid clear out' of the system. Who knows.

Yes and no. Yes if OP has plans in the near future for overseas travel or anything that requires a negative test. Otherwise, just stay home and wait until he needs to show a clean bill of health, he can then plan his test and quarantine, if any, at the most convenient time for him.
Traveling oversea that's the point,I need the 2nd Moderna shot because with 2 x Sinopharm and 1 x Moderna they will tell me in Europe I'm not fully vaccinated,I'm googeling 2 hours now to get a clear answer when i should get my next shot after recovery, and impossible to get a clear answer, from taking a shot during Covid infection to up to 4 months after recovery all kind of answers there. Most of my friends in Europe,USA and here in Thailand recovered and tested negative after 6-8 days

Too close I think. Recommendation is to wait for at least a couple of months. Otherwise you risk having a bad reaction. You can google the recommendations in various countries for infected people.
How long I should postbone my 2nd Moderna shot,I got first Moderna December 25th 2021?

So you are starting to feel better? You are getting over it,just self isolate and in a few days
you should be fine.
If things are getting worse call the hospital or clinic.
No reason to go there i would think.
You should stop smoking.
Yeah I don't feel bad running nose almost stopped,a bit of back pain ,and just that overall feeling is not perfect,I stopped drinking, stopped chocolate, stopped most unhealthy things,if I stop smoking too then all the fun things are gone, hmm I know smokers never short with excuses

Had it recently. Was having a cold, did a self-test, 2 red stripes, did 2 more tests to confirm.
8 days later, back to one stripe.
I could have missed it if I hadn't had some unused tests in my luggage. Was like a cold, no temperature, no loss of appetite, some sore throat, felt tired.

If your wife really thinks medication is needed, she can go to clinic and register you positive and excuse you for not speaking thai and not wanting to spread virus
Yeah I don't need a recovery certificate, but on April 30th I have appointment for my 2nd Moderna shot not sure if I can get if just recovered from Covid19

I just tested positive for Covid 19(home test),now what?I was reading as long I have mild sympthoms I can self quarantine until I test negative or start to feel really sick, but my Thai wife says I have to go to a clinic and get some special Covid 19 medication.Since I read about horror stories(state quarantine) I don't want to go to a clinic or hospital. So what is the best way to deal with that situation, should I go to a clinic or hospital and take the risk of a quarantine even with mild sympthoms?
All started on April 12th in the morning with permanent(every few minutes) sneezing, that got better after 1000mg Paracetamol,
On april 12th I tested negative
On April 13th I tested negative but still sneezing a bit
On April 14th no test because I felt ok,maybe a bit running nose, sneezing almost gone
On April 15 th I got a bit of a headache,a bit coughing and just didn't feel that great but I thought that was because of the hot weather, and coughing from my smoking habit
On April 16 th I woke up and felt like I didn't sleep all night, body ache, headache running nose and coughing, weak in general, but still enough power to walk my dogs for 2.5 km,all day I felt tired paracetamol worked well with the running nose but not that great with my headache,so in evening of April 16th I tested again for covid 19 and 3 out of 3 tests came back positive,my wife no sympthoms at all tested negative.
Today April 17th I tested again positive and my wife negative, running nose still there, coughing still there, headache almost gone but now I got medium back and stomache pain.On a scale from 1-10 1 is bad 10 is great I feel like 5 normal would be a 7,I'm diabetic with low numbers 6.7long term
We are both vaccinated me 2xSinopharm and 1 xModerna,my wife 2x Sinovac,1x Astra Zeneca and 1x Moderna
Now what?
