You can fly to Thailand without a visa in your passport. Thai Elite have said that new members will shortly be approved, so then they will be able to travel, with a letter of authorisation.

Or I suppose embassies could issue the Elite visa but as it's a specific sticker, that wouldn't be easy.

Not at the moment you can’t travel without paperwork Approval from via Thai embassy. The visa exempt route may not be available for some time

  2. Well after checking out Foodland at Bangkok and Pattaya, i was gutted, no more illusive Guinness trails to follow! The very next day at Suvarnabhumi Airport taking a domestic flight, i went to the food hall to grab a bit of munch and ,,, right in front of me was a bar with a Guinness tap. My wife wont let me go to bars in Thailand but this was an exception, she let me stay for 3 pints before out flight, the joy [emoji39]. Unfortunately tho the barman did not know how to pour a Guinness and my wife had to explain to him, his boss didnt like me getting it topped up either, but there you have it, happy flight delays bothers [emoji16][emoji39]

You can still get a Multiple Entry Non 'O' via the Embassy in London which can be applied for by post. My guess is that the consulates have abused their power and issued too many ME visas, and have had that privilege taken away. There's no reason why that should have a knock on effect to Savannakhet.

  4. My experience is mail seems to depart from the airport every 10 - 14 days

but it does not always go  direct to the UK and may be held at the next airport

Posting in Bangkok the tracking shows it is processed and ready to leave the same day

It is just luck whether there is a flight ready for it or not

when it arrives in the UK it is delivered in 2 - 3 days.

I have had mail take anywhere between 3  - 30 days
