I see a new attraction before my eye.
Standing on the footbridge and watch the trash being washed underneath to the sea in a mighty stream.
So far it was a stream from the VT6 beach rd. exit (next to Central) which almost took people off their feet.
Last year watched a slow flow of trash (knee-deep) through Soi Buakhao from a bar stool. Lift your feet!
We were lucky enough to catch the only real heavy rainstorm of 2015 during our week.
I got stranded in the triangle bar last year
The bar supplied black trash bags for use as water boots for anyone that wanted to leave.
Spent around 2 hours watching motorcycles trying to drive though the river of trash.
Not one made it through

yesterday it finally dawned on me, thai 'demand' a reward for a service rendered.
200 baht for getting his ipad back. I would have given him that back also. What is Japanese for cheap charlie ?
Some posters just cannot bear to read anything positive about taxi drivers, can you? Why is that?
Cue the rest of the taxi-bashing lobby...they can't be far away.
Think you need to read the post again

No! Thailand is trying to stop corruption! Why have to pay the cops to do their jobs?
I love funny posts

Check with the airline. There was a topic here last year asking the same thing.
Copy of passport was accepted but had to provide proof they lived in Thailand as well.

As for bars, they are in the business of selling drinks. That's how they pay the rent, their staff, and make a living. It's quite incorrect to assume you can just bring in your own drinks. As for how they treat Thais vs Farangs here, well, get over it! Now, separate from the bar scene is the question of bringing drinks into a restaurant. I have had several friends that have owned restaurants here. While the profit margins on food is usually small, the margin for drinks is much better, and well needed to make profits and pay for everything (overhead). But drinks, while the costs are small for us, are significant to the success of the restaurants. I was out years ago to a 99 baht buffet and a man in our group was so angry. He had brought in his own bottle of water, and when he paid the bill they charged him 30 baht for his own water. And he was so upset!! At this restaurant this fat man ate a huge amount of food (a buffet) and complained about them making a little money on drinks, his drinks! If he put a pen and paper to it he'd understand that unless the restaurant makes some money, it won't be there next month for him to be a pig again. A very stupid man indeed. As for me, I don't bring outside food or drink into any bars or restaurants. It's just bad manners and insulting to the restaurant owners. But then, that's just me.........
Totally agree with you

I renewed my passport last month and went to immigration after to see if there was anything I needed to do. Although they transferred the information from the old to new passport, the visa is not transferred and I still have to carry both passports and the new stamps and notes took up 2 pages in the new passport!! Not sure if it was worth it but piece of mind whilst travelling back into Thailand
Visas can not be transferred between passports
You need to carry both passports.

No need to go to a hospital, the nurses in the local doctor's clinics can do it for you. I had it done a while back at Dr. Sawadeepong's clinic near Marine Plaza, roughly opposite the Camelot Hotel in South Pattaya.
About every small "clinic" can do it.
And as other wrote there even seem to be DIY sets.
Does it help to state that I once had it done at a clinic on Soi Buakhao?
Exactly here:

"BUAKHOUW" CLINIC
Someday I will open a thread with the 20? 30? or more transcriptions of this street name.
It is pronounced. Soi buy a cow
Got its name many years ago there was farmers market that only sold cows

Does not matter.
Put the name and address of a hotel you may be staying at.

Don't eat tuna steaks. It's the fish with the highest detected levels of heavy metal contamination. Eat it regularly and you have a much higher risk of senile dementia and various cancers. Stick to oily fish like salmon and mackerel preferably. Tuna, swordfish and mahimahi are the worst fish for both metal and plastic contamination.
Salmon is not an oily fish [emoji23]

Contact Lord Sugar on Twitter he should have some spares in his garage
-
No, any one who builds a roofs should order extras and keep for replacing damaged tile.
There were extras ordered at the time of building, but they were needed to replace the tiles the roof workers broke.
I don't think anyone orders hundreds of spares, especially not at those prices.[/
You should of ordered extra tiles when the job was complete.
Poor management on your behalf.

Presumably he was born in England, so he's an Englishman.
A pretty foolish one to be carrying that amount of cash around, though.
Not sure about England, but I know that in Ireland
Being born in Ireland does not make you Irish
If none of the parents are Irish.
The law was changed a few years ago to stop passport abuse.

For snake control you just need to catch a snake with your hands tie it in a knot
And throw it away.
After the snake wriggles itself free it will
Tell all the other snakes in the area what happened and they will stay away.
If you are scared you can practice with worms.

This would be considered in Christianity as idol worship.
All Christians should take note.
You should take note.
There is no idol worship it is a spirit house.
The clue is in the name

Don't know what the problem is.

If they managed to arrest 20,000 in one week, I wonder how many they can arrest in one month or one year?
maybe after few months like that, Thailand will be all cleaned out of criminals...... just come to show
what the police can do if they put tier minds to it, assuming it's all true of course.....
It was another one of their famous crack downs
This one lasted for a week and is now finished.

The passport requirement for international parcels went into effect after the Erewhan attack.
I wonder just what ship the OP thinks would make the journey from Thailand to England with his parcel in two weeks?
It was actually before then.
It was June or July as far as I can remember.
