  1. having seen a real eatate agent earlier in the day and being bored monday night i texted her telling her that i'd take the room if she slept with me (stupid), and sending her a nude photo of myself post gym...

in any case she wentnto the police and messaged me with a photo of her phone on desk and my messages on screen in clear view and that of a thai police officer sitting ...told me the police are involved and that im "<deleted>" as well as saying my embassy and immigration were going to be contacted in the morning..

i feel really stupid about it now and im honestly not a bad guy.. whatever happens i apologized to her via text message

just curious what kind of trouble i could be in?

  2. my mistake so it was a non immigrant o for one year...

in any case theyd been issuing me back to back tourist visas that ive been living off for the last 2 years in thailand.. if i have to go through this ridiculous process again id almost rather move back to the usa.

would anyone have any experience talking with immigration about getting their visa back after submitting the paperwork from embassy? am i really SOL

if i go back to pnom penh is there any chance theyll give me my visa stamp considering ive already paid all my fees and already given the visa before

will a faxed copy of my birth certificate work for my embassy appt?

thanks for all the help guys

  3. hey guys... regrettably i recently lost my passport... i just had a few questions about this process....

as im in thailand will a faxed certified copy of my birth certificate from the usa work? what would be the easiest document to obtain in country for me to show as proof of my identity for my appointment with my em bassy? will my driver's license and copy of old passport work?

as im 31 i was fortunate in that the embassy in pnom penh gave me a retirement visa (got hurt on active in military, have a small pension).... will immigration in bkk give me my visa on my new passport.. if not... will the embassy in pnom penh re issue the same visa with same expiration date?

i just did a visa run and JUST obtained that retirement visa...so im kind of bummed about my situation

  4. ahh ok so living on tourist visas wont be a problem for me as long as i show income and residence?

tomorrow i plan on applying for my visa in PP, I've been trying to print bank statements and even calling Thailand to have Bangkok Bank send me statements but i have to do it in country and I'm not eligible for Ibanking because I dont have a work permit..

will proof of my military retirement from an official site and my bangkok bank book (hasnt been updated recently) suffice to get me my visa and let me go back to bangkok?

if they still want proof of onward travel what would that mean for me? could i just take the next cheapest flight to a neighboring country like joe said and from there fly back to bkk?

thanks again for all the help guys

  5. Yes I've done my research and from what I understand all visa whether it be marriage, business, education, tourist are all a hassle.. it just seems like tourist visas are..less of a hassle..

So from what I'm gathering from you guys..

submit my visa application with financial proof in the way of bank statements (6 months&military pension?)

i also dont understand the point of onward travel..i was told by the embassy staff member my onward travel ticket cant be back to Thailand.. so if I fly to some neighboring country and then from there I can fly back to bkk?

im just trying to get back to thailand.. i have all my things there in my gf's apartment

  6. I suppose I should be upfront before I begin about my problem,

i've had some instances of overstay in the past.. once for around 20 days in the past and another 1-2 for around 3-4 days due to misplanning or ill preparation on my part (all paid of course)

ive also been doing some land border runs at least until they started refusing them

    ...

so all in all ive been living on back to back tourist visas...my last run from BKK to siem reap i used a travel agent.. well i tried that again and the agency said they refused saying I had to come in peson...

i take a bus to pnom penn and the immigration officer took a look at my visa and told me i need to show proof of onward travel to a country other than thailand when submitting my application.. i told him i have an apartment and all my belongings in thailand..he told me i should submit bank statements then

due to the language barrier im a little confused by all this..will my previous instances of overstay cause me problems? do they think im living here on back to back tourist visas and working illegally? i retired young and am ineligible for a retirement visa.. am i stuck in cambodia?

  7. i live in thong lor and after being in thailand a year i reallllyy need to learn thai... could anyone shoot me what's considered a good price or even an average price for a language school in bkk?

theres a school not far from my home in thong lor that quoted me 27,000 baht for 3 months...classes are 3 days a week with 1 day consisting of 3 hours of class time..

    ...

im doing this also for the visa... after submitting all the required paperwork can i just stay in thailand 1 year without having to do visa runs?

  8. ill just be honest..I've been living in thailand roughly a year now doing visa runs for the single entry visa....my last 3 visa have been from doing land border runs in cambodia...i should have taken the immigration officer's advice when he told me ""no come back to cambodia..go get visa"" i thought he was just being rude/having a bad day..and wasn't totally aware of the new strict policy cracking down on foreigners using multiple single entry visas to live in thailand..let alone border runs...

i tried several times to fly back to bkk for the 30 day on arrival visa...since my visa was cancelled and had a lot of problems with that obtaining a ticket as the airlines didnt want to sell me one giving me all manner of confusing reasons...

i went to a travel agency here and paid for 60 day visa single entry visa...will take about 2 days..and bought a one way ticket to bkk....

my question is...with my new single entry stamp and my ticket paid for will i have any problem flying back to BKK either at the airport or arriving in bkk with immigration police?

im currently stuck in cambodia with money running out and this is my last option.... :(

  9. all i found was the generic 2% for 250 baht or so..feels like a ripoff...even then its only 30 ml...is the stuff sold in this "Tim A GOGO" 5%..decent amount?...i would ship it here from amazon but honestly i just don't trust thai mail that well...or much less any service here in thailand..sadly
