It would be more interesting to hear from Cambodia's government. It's clear Thailand will say it's theirs (which to me it is), but unless Cambodia's government is really trying to make a claim then it's a non story.

Subway as a brand has not gone cashless, you may have tried one franchise that has...but I doubt it, why would they do that?
I honestly can't remember but both near me west of Bangkok and the one on Rama 2 are definitely cashless only. They say you can pay with a credit card instead, but that doesn't exactly help. I used to enjoy their meatball sandwiches, but it's not worth the hassle now.

Stopped going after they refused to accept cash. They can reap what they sow.

So is diesel going down in price or just staying the same for us who buy it? I was hoping it'd be going below 30 again.

I think once it goes dark, the real danger on the road is how dark people's window tints are on their cars, in my area at least. It's frightening how little you can see through a dark tint. It doesn't really matter how much you drink if you can't see out of your car.

I think the government openly sacrificed the Thai motor industry by allowing the influx of Chinese EV vehicles. I see China is not happy as European countries are now ready to apply high taxes on these imports too, to protect their own industries.

I remember back when it happened and I effectively stated they were making a mountain out of a molehill, some posters were getting very angry at me. I then got accused of knowing him or even being him just because I wasn't blinded by rage like them. Its pathetic really.

Having driven in at least 10 countries, one unwritten rule has been ingrained into my mind, the larger vehicle is not to be messed with!
For a bike rider (who was, by the way, driving in the right "fast" lane obviously slower than the taxi who overtook him) to engage in a "heated argument" with a car (the bigger vehicle) was unwise, IMO.
Not to say that sticks and knives should be used in any type of confrontation, but if you're smaller, accept the lesson, stay off the fast lane, and don't pick fights with guys bigger than you.
I'd say it's more about driving style than size of the car, but the bigger cars are more likely to drive aggressively from experience. At the same time, you have people driving them really slowly like the mum's in Fortuners and grandad or his wife in a pick up.

Why was the ambulance hogging the right hand lane when there was no one to the inside? This along with him probably driving slowly (the speed limit), I expect is what upset the driver.

I have never displayed emotion at a restaurant in LOS. 1) The locals could care less ... ...3) As an Asian American in LOS most think I am Chinese so they look down on me until I start speaking fluent English.
I will look down on you too until you learn the saying is 'couldn't care less'...
I'm not the biggest complainer but the food does go back if they get my order wrong to the point I can't eat it. I've had hair in my food a few times recently, which is clearly not mine. I don't make a big deal out of it, but the staff are usually very embarrassed and sort it out.

As most fatalities include bikes, I'd say no. There seems to be a lot more speed cameras around now on the larger roads that I think are starting to make people in cars slow down a bit. The current speed limit of 80/90 on most sections of these roads is simply too low though. As people slow down for the cameras and speed back up again, all they do in my opinion is generate money and cause traffic jams. A steady 110/120 would work a lot better in my opinion.

So many snitches nowadays over such little things. God forbid someone has a bit of fun, harming no one in the process.

I let my wife speak rudely to me for too long and I'm trying to reel it now. Nothing malicious but just not a tone you should be using with other people. Her parents should have taught her this but I guess I need to do. "say thank you and please" kind of stuff. Like you would do in public strangers etc...
She manages people at work too so she has that attitude and takes it home. I didn't bother me so much in the past but I'm starting to notice it more and more so I decided she can't do it anymore. Maybe it's too late but I'm trying.
I've heard once a woman loses respect for you it's basically over and she'll start being abusive. If that's the case might as well leave sooner than later.
Bad parenting is also a factor in my situation too. No dad involved and her mum dumped her with the grandparents. As my lady expects so much (she's well educated), I guess it was only a matter of time before the respect was gone and things went downhill, I've done similar to you by trying to get her to consider how she acts and what she says, for over a year now, but it hasn't helped in my situation.

Men are often scared to leave their wives, even when they treat them like garbage. They even seem to end up having their friends cut out of their lives. It's not a million miles away from what would be an abusive relationship if the genders were reversed, but it's kind of normalised for men.
Yeah. I'm in that position at the moment but won't be for much longer. Constant disrespect for being a caring person, and it is in my mind it's an abusive relationship. Just need to plan a time to get my things out of the house and I'm gone.

No such thing as an International Driving License, it is an International Driving Permit giving translations of you normal license. If you are in Thailand for more than 3 months then you have to have a Thai Driving License.
That's already covered in the thread and irrelevant anyway. It's just a normal incident for the roads here, but a westerner is involved so it makes the news. I don't see the big deal to be honest.

Your religion has little to do with it. I think people want to harm you due to you not doing your job and not making London a safer place to live. Victimising motorists isn't going to help your cause either.

Sure. Don't get me wrong, they deserve to be locked up when carrying a weapon with intent. There's no sensible reason to be carrying a machete or hunting knife in built up areas.

Something is wrong, Tranny - last week you agreed with me. This week I agree with you.
Knives scare the hell out of me in general; when we see on TV some of those knives that thugs carry and use in the uk, I can't muster an ounce of sympathy for them. The penalties for carrying a knife in public need to be stronger because it seems that there is no deterrent now.
If you are not their target, its not that bad, and these things mostly happen between gangs. I've had people running towards me and straight past me with machetes, knives and an axe in north London. They are so focused on their rivals and silly postcodes that they don't see the common man.

Narin claimed that a ghost had possessed his wife, prompting him to attack it. He believed that the ghost might have attacked him if he hadn’t taken action. Narin expressed regret to his son for his actions. Although he loved his wife and wished he could apologise to her as well, he was unable to do so since she had already passed away. He subsequently urged journalists to stop questioning him.
Sounds legit...

I generally drink the equivalent of two beers from 8pm to midnight each day, so I'm not exactly chugging them down. If I get together with friends I'll drink more, but the hangover means I wont drink the day after. I'm no stranger to Heineken zero's either. If the local restaurants sold it, I'd be more likely to drink that most days instead.

I've unfortunately crossed paths with Lammy before and he is a bully. It's funny how when something goes wrong, he throws good practice out of the window and starts grandstanding. He expects to get things his way by shouting the loudest, like a child.

While I've not been happy with our performances and strategy in the earlier rounds, what is important is that we peak at the right time. If we do that tonight then we've got it in the bag.

Chinese Tourist Rescued After Snorkeling Incident in Similan Islands
in Southern Thailand News

When I went to the similan islands last year, most didn't wear their life jackets. We were told insurance would be void without one, but people don't travel half way around the world to crystal clear waters to put a safety vest on. Where is the excitement in that?
