Hospitality industry should just pay 5% "fee" (or 10%) from income to these crooks and get the borders opened. That's the easiest way in this country.

I agree with everything else but I think having an insurance should be a must... This could maybe prevent these gofundme campaigns when some idiots complain in hospital that they don't have money to pay their bills... Should be in any country for tourists. I'm not interested to cover costs for their healthcare.

I guess it's a national sport. Nothing is done about it. You can see how everyone driving a motorcycle is wearing a mask and not a helmet. It could be done... (same as for cars) but no, this is Thailand.

Yes, hitting their heads don't seem to bother them. I can see that from statistics that the opposite is true, traffic accidents kills more people than covid and 80% of those are cyclists. I don't care that much if they don't want to protect their head but it looks really funny. Driving 80km/h with a mask on but no helmet.. I guess I try to apply common sense and that rarely works here in Thailand.

I had 3 shots, had a mask where requested and got covid. Mask is just plain stupid and does not help anything when it comes spreading the virus, specially Omicron. Just creates a lot of waste that is everywhere. I am all for freedom of choice. If you want to wear a mask then do so. It's also hilarious to see the motorcycle drivers to drive without a helmet but with a mask on ????

Soon it's cheaper to use rouble notes for toilet paper based on exchange rate / toilet paper price. 8 rolls of toilet paper 4,29€ or 0,536€ per roll. One roll has 153 sheets = 0,0035€ per sheet. At the moment one rouble is 0,0066€. Not yet but maybe next week? Shame that it does not have Putin's pic on it. But hey, who cares, Unionpay to the rescue!

China and Hong Kong have cancelled most of the flights... due to marvellous "Covid Zero" policy (which is not working...). If they have Shengen visa they can fly to Finland and take the train as it still runs from Helsinki to St. Petersburg but I hope it will be closed soon too. It is used now mostly for Russian fleeing their homes in Russia.

I have sent directly to Ukrainian Government account. AirBnB is also a good way to donate. Do not donate to the leeches who take 99% and maybe 1% goes to actual cause. You know the ones with posting pictures of suffering children in their ads. If there is any Ukrainian needing help here in Thailand I am willing to pitch in a little. You can send PM on this forum.
