  1. all my cars are automatic cars.

    2007 Kia cerato 1.6a

Bought in 2008 as a 2nd hand car. Abused it for 3 years and never gave any problems except the regular oil change and tyre change. Completely changed my perception about Korean cars.

    I rate it 70/100 overall.

    1992 Honda prelude 2.2a

    Bought in 2007

4 speed automatic hinds gearbox reliable and strong as steel!

Best fun car ever driven even though it's an automatic and damn old.

Reliable except for a broken radiator fan.

    Rate 80/100

    2006 BMW 523i

    Bought in 2011

Excellent to drive but the maintenance costs drove me up the wall.

    Rate 80/100

    2005 Nissan teana 2.3a

    Bought in 2012

My first v6 engine car and I loved the low end torque.

Gearbox strong and sturdy and no major issues with engine and air conditioning.

    But bland exterior and interior

    Rate 65/100

    2005 Subaru forester 2.5t

    Bought in 2013

My first turbocharged car. Loved it to bits except that it drank petrol like water!

    Strong engine and gearbox!

    85/100

    2005 honda accord 2.4a

    Bought in 2013

Nothing to shout about. Gearbox failed me whilst on the highway.

    Disappointed with this model.

    50/100

    2001 BMW 318i

    Bought in 2014

Nice drive as synonymous with BMW.

However a trip up to isaan cost me tens of thousands in repairs afterwards! LOL

Overall still a reliable car but I'm getting bored after driving for 3 months.

    80/100

  2. Dear all,

I'm having itchy fingers wanting a change of car to try a pick up.

I am inclined only towards the automatic models though.

which of these actually have a more reliable gearbox?

I saw that the triton has a relatively lower selling price (2nd hand) as compared to the others. even the 3.2L automatic has a decent selling price.

    Is there a particular reason?

I would prefer to get a vigo as it's a toyota but there are so many variants that it's abit confusing. Maybe I'm looking at the 3 litre. Does it come with turbo for automatic as well?

I'm also sold on the D-max turbo 3.0

The ford and nissan i've not done any research yet so I'd appreciate any inputs.

  3. Dear All,

Should my parents decide to join me in LOS when they have retired,

    what would the procedures be?

    A few quick questions:

    1) Is it east to apply and what documents are required to apply for retirement visa in LOS?

They need to come in person or they can do so at the Thai Embassy in my country?

    2) Will they be able to purchase property as well as cars/motorcycles under their own names?

Thanks in advance for the replies!

  4. Dear all,

I went to Laos to apply and get my ed visa.

However I noticed that it was single entry. And I did not have to pay. The lady over the counter told me it's free.

Then when I entered bangkok today, I realized that my visa has been used.

Problem is, I need to go to china for a short trip to visit some friends. When I return, will my 3 month be reduced back to one month?

When I exit, the immigration officer will surely erase my records?

Very pissed with myself right now

  5. dear all,

i just collected my papers for collection of ed visa.

just wanna check if i can do it in guangzhou, china as there is a royal thai embassy there too.

my sales consultant insisted that i must go to laos to get the ed visa.

i think it's BS so i just wanna confirm with people in the know over here at TV.

please let me know asap so i can plan my trips.

i hope i do not need to spend extra thousands of baht for an extra trip to laos just to get the ed visa

    replies much much appreciated!

    regards
