The full transcript of Kennedy's speech is here: JFK library. The tone of Kennedy's speech is directly opposite that of your out of context quote. He was calling out bad guys like the USSR and Mr. Putin, to come. A few sentences: "We cannot, as a free nation, compete with our adversaries in tactics of terror, assassination, false promises, counterfeit mobs and crises. " (Putin's Polonium and nerve gas) "We possess weapons of tremendous power--but they are least effective in combating the weapons most often used by freedom's foes: subversion, infiltration, guerrilla warfare, civil disorder. " "And while we believe not only in the force of arms but in the force of right and reason, we have learned that reason does not always appeal to unreasonable men." The opposite of your misquote.

You forget that the US was once under the heel of a great tyrant just like Ukraine is under Putin today, and like Ukraine, fought a bloody war of independence against a greater repressive force. Here is a small passage from the US Declaration of Independence referring to that tyrant: "He has plundered our seas, ravaged our coasts, burnt our towns, and destroyed the lives of our people. He is at this time transporting large Armies of foreign Mercenaries to complete the works of death, desolation, and tyranny, already begun with circumstances of Cruelty & Perfidy scarcely paralleled in the most barbarous ages, and totally unworthy the Head of a civilized nation." Who today would not think this refers Putin's tyrannical war against Ukraine? If you really want to fight tyranny, which you don't, the world must start with Vladimir Putin. Nuclear fusion: How long until this breakthrough discovery can power your house
rabas replied to Scott's topic in World News
OK, the NIF fired 550 WHr of laser energy into a spec and got 830 WHr out. Although a milestone, they forgot to mention the whopping 83,000 WHr of grid electricity used to fire the lasers. Just wait for that electric bill. I thought mine were bad. Such omissions have long been a problem in the fusion industry as theoretical physicist and youtuber Sabine Hossenfelder explains here. If so, then why so much hoopla? Maybe it is to impress Mr. Putin as someone suggested above. The NIF is one of a few super high technologies the US uses to ensure it's aging nuclear weapons work. Mr. Putin has no such high technologies at his disposal. The only thing he can be certain of is that US weapons will work, he should avoid going down the nuclear road. The NIF role in nuclear stockpile stewardship -
Finland's Sanna Marin says Europe would be in trouble without US
rabas replied to Scott's topic in World News
??? I am defending her from the previous poster who suggested she is a floozy young liberal. I am championing her for her strength, ability to learn quickly, and hit the nail on the head saying the only way out is for Russia leave Ukraine. Also love the way she belittled the reporters with a mike drop laugh and walking away. Classic. -
Assault on Kiev: Russian helicopters swoop above Ukraine's capital
rabas replied to Chris.B's topic in The War in Ukraine
This is a false equivalence. In both cases Russia was brutally invaded and had every reason to fight. This time, Putin and his thugs wrongly invaded a legally sovereign country. The Russian people do not want this war and even the Russian military is deeply unhappy about the position they're in. They have gone from justly fighting Napoleons and Hitlers to illegal invasions, war crimes, and loosing. They are not happy. -

Elon Musk Hopes to Test a Brain Implant in Humans Next Year

Monkeys control the computer. The video shows a Neuralink monkey playing computer Pong by thinking. The first part explains how he is trained, and shows him playing Pong at 1:50 where the video starts. Maybe later, monkey controlled computers can control humans. -
I accessed the number around 11am Bangkok time last week, I tried again just now and still get a fax tone. I assume it's always on. Make sure you use the correct access code like 009 (TOT) before the number. Try calling with your phone first to hear if you get a fax tone. The machine answers after one full ring. Good luck.

The link to the source shows it's from a right-biased satire website. So if the the dim right know it is satire, how does your theory explain those on the left don't and call it fake? Is there an error in your logic? -
Elon Musk says Twitter will offer 'amnesty' to suspended accounts

She was not banded for a meme. She changed her official account name to Elon Musk with no indication it was a parody. Musk then made a new rule that all parody accounts must clearly include parody in the account name. Her account has now been restored. https://twitter.com/hodgetwins/status/1589395345561497601 -
Elon Musk says Twitter will offer 'amnesty' to suspended accounts

He banned people making fake accounts, which they claimed were for parody. He said that accounts impersonating others for parody must now include "parody" in the account name. The CNN tweet is not an account, it's a parody meme. People who don't appreciate it may well say it's fake news in their POV. The actual meme is a well known fake from Genesius Times from April 2022. Musk posted it with no comment likely as one in a series of tweets testing response and new algorithms. When CommunityNotes quickly flagged it, Musk lauded them by commenting "FTW!". -

In response to the firings, the previous CEO, Jack Dempsey, apologized saying he grew company "too quickly". If you want deeper understanding, Search this phrase: jack Dempsey apologizes grew company too quickly Google has trouble finding the story, goes back to 2008 about Jack Dempsey. Google even suggests a 'related' search to help you: "How was blackbirding different to slavery?" What!? Duckduckoo immediately finds at least 50 references from everywhere, all on top. -
The second letter was probably triggered by long delivery times that exceeded the 60 day return period, which could trigger a computer flag. My own letter took almost 100 days. Their second letter stated "If you mailed the first letter just before receiving the second, then you do not need to do anything", because they will continue to process the first letters until the very end of their processing window. Just to be safe, I faxed my 2nd letter to them today. A tip, the only fax machines I found were limited to A4 size (no adjustments). The personalized barcode is on the letter's edge so the fax operator shrank the letter to A4 size before sending. The SSA's fax machine received the letter with no problem. Their fax number is 1-833-719-0632.

It's possible the second mailing doesn't prove the first letter was never received, so the OEIO officer may have been correct. I tend to trust an observation that something happened more than an observation that it didn't. Good luck with your call.
