The 90 days start from the date you get the visa because the will cancel the 30 day entry and give you a new one.

You can apply for your extension up to 45 days early or when your money is in the bank for 60 days if using that method.

You can get a re-entry permit for the 90 day entry.

Non-imm visa cancels 30 day visa exempt entry. That's what I was puzzled about.

You are talking about a conversion. Indeed you need to have at least 15 days on your permisison to stay left. (You have a visa exempt entry, not a visa on arrival. That is something else).

Not all immigration offices provide the conversion, most will send yu to Bkk to do that. Others that are known to do the conversion are Pattaya and Chiang Mai and a few other offices.

What she probably meant is that she can only give a conversion to a non-immigrant visa, which gives you a stay of 90 days. After 60 days or so you come back with the right paperwork again and get a 1 year extension of stay.

Sometimes the conversion and extension are done in one time and sometimes not.

1099 R for usa tax reporting purposes, for eexample shows yearly income. 1099 R doesnt show principal balance used to achieve the income. The discussion here is what worries me. Thai should know difference between principal and income derived from said principal.

Vanguard is a highly respected usa Financial institution. This poster mindet is what im worried about. I doubt many thais are FLUENT in Vanguard.

However, when we are apart, the communication via Whatsapp is not great. ie Id expect to talk to someone I was keen to at least a few times a day, even for point less chat like "how are you" "what you doing" etc. etc. However, if I dont initiate communication, it can be a few days before I even get some sort of initiation from her. I concur with this behaviour. I use WhatsApp regularly and my friends with whom I text will reply fairly quickly and we have almost real-time text conversations. I've been texting a bar girl whom I met on a recent holiday to Phuket and her replies are hard to predict. When I initiate she may reply after she's woken up or may just ignore it. If she initiates I (foolishly) reply immediately and we will have an exchange but then she will cut me off citing that she has to sleep/go to work. Once or twice I noticed that she was still "online" using the app long after supposedly going to sleep. I've found that the app will stay running in the foreground if the phone is plugged in and charging and running something like Spotify as a background app streaming music. I doubt that this is the case for her. Knowing that it will be some months before I go back there and possibly see her again I try not to initiate the texting too often for fear of not getting a reply (I do like her). She then texts me out of the blue and I think that she does so to keep me interested hence the relatively short conversation.
