  1. To Winstonc:

I can understand why you may have thought that mentioning my ladies desire to achieve a good education, her perserverence in achieving a high standard in the business world and her desire to dress well either professionally or informally as frivolous rhetoric but I applaud her and anyone like her who wants to rise above in a country where it is so difficult to do that...

But I am sure you had a good reason to bring all this to my attention and this is why it is so great to have a forum such as this to allow everyone to express their thoughts...

Well said, you will soon see that responding to these type of retorts is a waste of your time. Enjoy your lovely lady and good luck!

  2. I admit to be addicted.

    First step in what?

    I'm addicted to coffee too.

    First step in the morning!

I admire you can admit to being a forum addict.

Your statistics gave you away anyhow, but still you weren't shy to admit.

Too much coffee is not good right?

Do you think forum addiction is honestly healthy?

I have noticed amongst your light hearted fun on here, you also enjoy a good heated debate, and refuse to back down.

Is this healthy? It's all fun and games until the obvious stress is clearly visible.

I don't drink too much coffee. I am physically addicted though. It is not a problem.

Forum use can have benefits and pitfalls. I have experienced both. I wouldn't want to give it up but yes I could cut it down. I feel I have actually been successful in getting less obsessive about responding to abusive trolls every time. That can indeed be stressful and turn into a black hole. I think using the ignore function can be a good tool to help with that. I realize many people don't understand the use of ignore and think it's copping out. But in my case as a high visibility member, some trolls predictably view me as a big target (stalkers might be a better description of them) for their big fun and it just takes too much energy and time to deal with them.

I'm about a year away from retiring to the LOS and use the forum to keep up on what is going on there. I spend about I hour in the morning with coffee and TVF. I admit it took me a while to find the ignore button and grow another layer of skin. I really wish TVF would add a dislike button!

  3. Pardon me if this story seems strange. drunk Russian girl agrees to take a motorbike ride from a Thai stranger, is not so drunk that she does not fall off the bike. Goes to his room with out putting up a fight, gets tied up and no report of scratches on this guy? No mention of threatening her with a weapon. If he confessed to it, he's got to be guilty, hard to understand what is up with her, not defending him in the least just seems very odd.

She said she was fearful and cooperated.

What do you want her to do? Fight off the guy and get murdered?

Give me an hour alone with the scumbag rapist and his buddies around Thailand will have second thought next time they think about attacking some poor girl.

If it came down to what I would want her to do I would tell her to politely refuse the ride and go back to her friends or get paid transportation. I'm not blaming her, obviously she is not thinking clearly because she is drunk. How does she know he is not going to kill her anyway? Time to take off when they got off the bike or put up a fight then while outside. Russian girls usually are not push overs, wish it did not happen to her. After all this he drives her to her hotel? Just never heard of a scenario like this.

  4. Thousands of civilians mourn and cry with tears in the amount of causing possible flooding to South Korea.

Guys, what's so good about cheese? I wouldn't mind trying if it's really as good as he says it is.

Any recommendations? Brands? And what way to eat it for the most delicious taste.

Haven't been much of a cheese guy..... the only cheese I know is the ones bought at supermarkets and you put on the sandwich. But tasteless.

  6. Wife's father doesn't speak to me.

Wife's two teenage sons don't like me.

And now, gf's sister won't speak to me.

Do I see a posting trend developing here?

    Anyways,

I don't bother mixing with any gf's family, that isn't what a gfs for.

The guilt factor is what has got sis clamming up. She would not know what to say to her sisters goldmine and is fearful of saying anything to ruin the free flow of gold as OP has already indicated.

The OP's girlfriend could possibly have warned her sis not to talk to him except to say hi and goodbye. Perhaps there have been stolen BF's in the past. At any rate the OP has failed to indicate any discussions with his GF on this matter in his post. Soooooo I declare this a total BS troll post.

    Agree 100%

  7. 2014 Ryder Cup! Who's going to win? I give EU the edge

Which rookie will emerge and play well? US - Walker EU - Gallacher

Who is the most important player on both teams? US - Kucher EU - Sergio

Who is going to under perform? US - Bradley EU - Poulter

Which player will teams try to hide? US - Reed EU - Westwood

Gleneagles does it favor either team? Favors no one

Who's chances are enhanced by bad weather? No edge

Captains pick mistakes, who should they have taken/left off? US - Bradley and Simpson - Replacements list is long. EU Westwood? Give up Donald's short game really?

What will be the final point spread? If US not more than 1 point. Possible blow out by EU but not likely

  9. I have a built in GPS (Speed Navi) in my Triton. It is the best gps I’ve ever used; even in Bangkok it has

always got me there no problem.

However when the wife is driving, she always thinks she knows a better route, and, ends up shouting

at the lady in the sat nav calling her stupid. rolleyes.gif

    Have a Nice Day.

In the area I have lived in for most of my life, I will turn on my GPS set up with a woman's voice, rather than shouting like your wife does, I

practice ignoring the woman's voice. The practice has served me well!

And a good day to you as well

  10. Sometimes we smile at things now, that weren't so funny back then.

When I moved here, I brought my three dogs from the States. In three of the extra-large airline-approved plastic kennels, with sturdy wire-grid doors.

    120 bucks each.

I rented a house on Koh Chang. Small, no storage. So I built an attractive lean-to on the side of the house. There, amongst gardening tools, I place the kennels. The house is in a very rural area, no neighbors. What could go wrong?

Nothing. I am a very positive thinker.

One day I go to tidy up. Something’s missing. The kennel doors. Why, I wonder, would someone steal the doors, not the whole kennel?

    *@#*

Weeks later, I go to pay the rent. The landlord is not home. Which is okay. I don’t like him.

But his Cambodian GF is quite nice and having a bikini pool party with some of her BG friends. All are well-oiled (as in very drunk) and frisky and fawning and gather around me and …

Anyway, as I wait for the receipt, GF asks if I would like some barbecue out by the pool. I say, why thank you.

I follow her to where they have a couple of those clay pot bbq’s fired up. And there’s two of my doors right there. With chicken satay and pork ribs spread over them.

WOW! Not the happy ending I expected!

  11. Joan would be the first to approve of your puns, she loved to make people laugh. While not always funny IMHO she was generous with those around her and to charity. She did a lot to benefit others in the course of her life. RIP Joan

Plastic Surgeons panic to re-mortgage their houses as news hits that Joan Rivers has died....................wub.png alt=wub.png>

She was as funny as a pork chop in a synagogue. But then again I am biased, can't stand loud American humour.
