  1. ten plus years ago when i first came to thailand thai's often used to say to me 'thai never hurt thai'. it was obviously <deleted> then but they couldn't see it.

well the façade is well and truly shattered now with children drowning while thai onlookers filmed... scams right left and centre... not to mention the demonstration killings and injuries... etc, etc.

i never hear a thai say 'thai never hurt thai' these days. the scales have fallen from the eyes.

  2. My intention is to market and sell it with the help of a Partner

you might want to refer to the attempts of a certain mr trink regarding making money out of a web site on thailand...

your business model of one article = payback financially is flawed. money comes from advertisers, for advertisers you need 'hits', lots of them. if the content doesnt change the hits will dry up as will the advertising income.

  3. you seem to be being taken for a mug, the old ATM farang routine. a few suggestions;

    - tell her to get a job and you will double what she earns, if not

    - tell her to itemise how much she spends and on what and send it to you, only then will you send her further monies - after checking what her actual 'needs' are

    - get out of there and find a woman who respects you and is not with you for your money

  4. Jingthing,

Sorry to have to tell you this, but..... you have been cursed I am afraid, and what is going to happen is your hair will turn grey, then possibly fall out. All your teeth will wear away. Your skin will become wrinkled, you will likely lose your ability to see very far, you will forget where you put things, maybe even your own name, and you will lose control of your bodily functions...............eventuallygiggle.gif

    ...and eventually... you will die.

now thats what i call a curse.

  5. some road users were either not aware of the markings or chose to ignore them altogether.

It had been planned that drivers approaching the market would instead have to make a u-turn outside the Esso Petrol station on Phetkasem Road.

lack of forewarning or communication by the authorities, no police presence to assist drivers, the driving culture, the 'if i'm not sure what to do just plough on' culture, the thai love of U turns... a recipe for chaos.

  6. in bangkok, as is in any big city, you should be taking basic precautions - especially if you are a tourist. be self aware, make sure your bag is closed, if you're in a crowd move any bag to the front of your body, dont keep your wallet in your back pocket. with the increasing number of motorcycle bag grabbing dont carry your bag on the road side of your body, if it has a strap put the strap over your shoulder. sounds like a lot to think about but this awareness quickly becomes second nature

you're never going to stop the professional pickpocket but a few simple and basic precautions will deter the casual thief

  7. just off the top of my head...

mopping the floor using a bucket of increasingly filthy water, redistributing the dirt nicely.

there's quite a lot of nose picking goes on here. it doesn't seem to be an embarrassing habit.

putting far too much soap power is the washing machine and blocking up the soap powder dispenser tray...

back home people putting their feet on seats on public transport springs to mind...

  8. Breakfast tends to be fruit, then lunch more fruit and a ham/cheese omelette with rice, supper/dinner usually Thai food. Neither of us has much of an appetite in this heat...

One drawback at this time of year is that I don't get out walking every day after the missus warned me against it.

    eh?!

get out the same as any other season, stay in the shade, wear a hat and drink lots of water. exercise, appropriate to the weather, is good for the body and mind. and its cooler in the mornings and evenings.

  9. conscience is not a concept many thai's are familiar with.

my ex GF married a german - who paid 2.4 mil for the pleasure and is regarded as an idiot by her family and friends, but that's another story - whenever she's in bangkok she calls me up, we go out spending big 'because he is paying' then back to mine for a session.

this behaviour is exactly why i dumped her but we get on well and have fun.

as for the husband, ignorance is bliss - but i worked her put pretty its bizarre how he ended up marrying her! coffee1.gif
